It was a couple days after that I contacted her because I washed my hair at least 10 times and tried to rectify the problem myself. Rama J[redacted] is an unethical business owner. She is operating illegally because her cosmetology license expired in 2011 and she has yet to renew it. So technically she should not be braiding hair. She also has braiders that does not have a license as well. It's beyond me that she did not offer any type of solution except to get over it.

size and length she ask if the price still the same I answer yes $ 252 she said I see you at 9 am.After we finish doing her hair I give her the receipt for $252 to pay she told Sabrina that she was sort $ 25 I say don't worry about it just next make sure you have all the money before you come to get your hair done.Saturday November 6, 2015 , six days after she got her hair done she call me complaining that she experienced non - stop itching on her scalp and she need her money back or half I say to her we don't refund money 48 hours after service done ; if anything happens in the 48 hours we will be responsible and we will everything possible to take care of the problem .Me be in the hair extension business for 27 years I do know that if you have a allergy to the extension the reaction wasn't going to wait 6 days to start; was going to happen right away ; I asked her to come saw me the irritation she was having before she remove the braids she refused to come , all she keeps saying I need money back and other lady come on the phone threaten me and calling me all those bad word and told them that I am done talking about this and if they come to my location I will call the police .Was couple clients witness the whole argument; I will not refund the money that is are policy and visually posted in are location , and I don't believe on her testimony because that wasn't her fist time getting the same hair style and using the same hair extension.If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Review: November 2, 2015 at 9am I went to MOJ African Braiding to receive individual box braids. This was my first time there getting any type of service. The salon provided the hair and 2 people, Emely and Sabrina performed the service. The process took 5 hours and when completed, I paid $227 to the owner Rama J[redacted]. After about 2 days, I experienced painful, non-stop itching on my scalp and any part of my body the hair touched. After researching what can cause the constant itching, I learned that certain types of synthetic kanekalon hair has a coating of Alkaline Lye which is a skin irritant. it suggests to soak the hair in apple cider vinegar before install to avoid irritation/reaction. If the hair is already installed spray with a solution of acv and water. I washed my hair several times as well as did the rinse with the acv to no avail. So it left me no option but to take my hair out after only 6 days. I contacted the shop and the owner, Rama was very rude and unprofessional stating that there was nothing that she could do. She stated that it was my problem that I experienced this. She also would not tell me the Brand of hair that she used and proceeded to hang up on me. Never before have I had this reaction and she offered no resolution for this matter. She stated that I don't know who I am dealing with, that I got the wrong place if I'm expecting my money back.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of $227 and to know what brand of hair she used in my hair.
