Thank you for detailing one of our client concerns . Our records indicate a successful remediation was performed and passed a certified clearance . Many months later  an inspection was requested and elevated relative humidity was discovered and evidence of a recent water event.  It was...

determined that the conditions discovered during the follow up inspection were conducive to the new visible mold growth.  New water events and/ or moisture conditions can create new fungal growth which is not covered under the remediation warranty.   We are happy to consider customer service solutions to assist with any of the clients concerns.  A refund is not warranted.  Services were provided per the contract.  A moisture condition as of the last inspection still exist in the home and it is the responsibility of the home owner to rectify .  That said please let us know how we may assist further with this case.

Customer Service

John Taylor was my inspector. He was very nice and knowledgeable . He found issues missed by other contractors. His company was able to help with my mold problem and my family is feeling so much better now. I highly recommend mold aid .

Review: On the 28th of February MoldAid performed some mold remidiation at my place of residence. Myself, my roommate, and our 3 animals were to vacate the premises for a 24 hour period. The work was to start at 1000 and we would be allowed back in at 1000 the following day. The workers were an hour and a half late to the home to begin with. We were not notified till after they were already late that they were having transportation issues. Aside from being late, the worker assured me work would be completed on time. I unlocked both the home and the basement so they could complete the work in the affected areas. I gave clear instructions for them to re-secure the home. When I returned the next morning there were several issues. The basement was never secured but the home was. Inside of the home there was some damaged property. In the contract there were no prep instructions as to move property out of the affected areas. The workers moved several items and in that process damaged some. There was a vanity rooster trash can (approximately 1 month old) that was broken and no longer able to be used. There was a recycling bin that is missing a piece and is no longer able to be removed. There was a rooster canvas art that was damaged. The largest item that was damaged was a $1500 two piece hutch from Germany. The bottom is completely broken out and is no longer able to be used. In addition to the damages, the workers helped themselves to kitchen snacks. There was a newly opened box of nutty bars on top of the fridge that was nearly empty when I returned. The same with a newly opened box of baby ruth candy on top of the microwave. They left wrappers discarded inside of the kitchen sink which was then left on the back deck. The workers emptied a trash bin of a bathroom where work was not to be completed yet left trash and debris in the affected areas. I don't quite know or understand the removal of trash from the bathroom they were not to even be in but I find it disturbing.

When I contacted the company in regards to my complaints and concerns my information was taken and told I would be given a call back in regards to the complaint. I never receievd a call so I contacted the company again. I then spoke to **. [redacted] and my complaints/concerns. I was instructed that I needed to send an email and it would be responded to within 24 hours. My email was very detailed and listed everything (as listed here) [redacted]'s response was short and stated that the hutch was already damaged prior to his workers moving it and they handled it with care. He advised via email that the rest of my surprising claims were unfounded. I sent a reply that then went unacknowledged. After not hearing back I then called the company and spoke again to **. [redacted]. [redacted]'s response to his employees damaging my property was that quite hostile. He advised that he had three witnesses all with the same story that the hutch was damaged prior which it wasn't. The inside contents were fallen through the bottom of the hutch onto the floor in the spare room which they moved it too. He said the cheap particle board was not able to hold the contents and that's why the hutch was probably broken. The hutch is not particle board. It is solid wood completely throughout. [redacted]'s response to the workers helping themselves to my kitchen snacks was "oh well. Maybe they thought it was theirs." There was never an apology for the lack of professionalism and [redacted] continued to be hostile. I asked him how come the home was not secured as it was instructed. He first advised that the worker thought I was returning to secure it. I told him the contract said we needed to be off of the property for 24 hours and that is why he was instructed to lock it. [redacted] then backtracked by saying the worker forgot. He said it shouldn't matter if the basement was secured or not as there is no property in there. I told him there in fact was property in the basement. [redacted] said well is anything missing? I told him as a matter of fact there is a flashlight missing. He continued to berate me by telling me to go ahead and rack those things up because that is what renters do. Not once did I ever use foul language with him yet I was treated with such disrespect and disdain. I told him that I would be filing a Revdex.com complaint and I asked him if he was the owner or manager so I knew who to reference the complaint. He then hung the phone up on me. I promptly called back and asked the secretary if he was the owner or manager so I can reference the complaint. She told me that they didn't have anything else to say to me and hung up on me as well. That was the last of my contact with [redacted] or any representatives of the company.

I then referred back to our email conversations and was able to [redacted] and find out that he is the owner. To my surprise I also found several websites with complaints similar to mine. Had I been aware of the negative customer reviews, I would have encouraged my landlord and management company to seek another reputable company.Desired Settlement: Replacement of damaged property or cost.

Response:

Our records indicate a remediation was performed. A certified clearance was provided and the remediation went well. No property was damaged during the remediation. A pre-existing issue was documented. The renter claims the pre-existing damage was something our crew did. It was determined to be a false claim.

I have a home in A[redacted] VA. The home started to smell very musty and we could not figure out why. We had Mold Aid come in to inspect the home and they found a leak from our wash machine plumbing into the crawlspace of the home. Mold was growing under the home which is why there was such an odor. Mold Aid was very professional and John T[redacted] was very detailed in explaining the problem. We have had the repairs done and things are so much better. I would recommend this firm. They were very easy to work with and competent. I was impressed by their certifications, their simple process and customer services and follow up.

Review: My wife had various mold symptoms including excessive bleeding and surgery before she decided to call Mold Aid to do a follow-up test ...

We had a service contract with the company which costed us nearly $5000 dollar last year. I had immediately made a claim to the company because the service was not satisfactory, but the general manager of the company Mr. John T[redacted] told us to wait for a few months to conduct another test, then they will clean it again if needed since the contract has two warrant. So We waited for two monthes, MOLD Aid sent a technician to conduct a test and the samples were sent to a lab. When the report came back with elevated air quality result, John T[redacted] the manager tried various techniques to calm us down...

After what happend during the past few months, My wife could not buy it anymore. She had tried to tell office staffs in the company over and over again that the air quality in the house concerning us, kids are feeling sick and my wife are having various health related issue, finally the good hearted office staff scheduled a retest of the air quality ( I believe John T[redacted] did not know). Mold Aid Technician came and drawed some samples, then a few days later the results came back with elevated (above ambient) concentration of fungal spores including botrtis, penicillium/Aspergillus, Myxomycetes, Chaetomium and so on ( we could provide you with the offical test report).

No wonder, the uncleaned air duck has caused so many doctor visits, and ....

Now the general manager John, argued that the testing result is the result of a presumed water leakage or humidity ! We had not water leakage, the humidity of the house is normal ! We deserve a fair service. John's company is really a cheater company, they are not professional at all except when they came for estimate ! How could a company assume there was a water leakage when there was none? They think everyone lies because they lie all the time.

For the sake of other people like us, we sincerely request Revdex.com could help to stop the company from cheating around and damaging people's life and health.Desired Settlement: The company act according to the contract terms and clean the duck work completely, clean all other area 'inch-by-inch' as the manager promised when he came to give the estimate. Refund full contract amount and pay the related medical bills.
