Great services, I received my lab results immediately the next day and got a full letter of clearance that the home I was purchasing was clean and clear. Highly recommend.

Thank you Amanda, we appreciate your honest review and hope you enjoy your new home.

Mold Response Team did a fantastic job at explaining the mold process to me. From testing, to getting my home clean, I couldn't be more thankful. Not everyone is aware that some companies with the right certifications are able to test your home, and fix it. Mold Response Team came highly recommend with a long list of certifications. I couldn't be more lucky to have found a company so knowledgeable and just plain kind. Great customer service and the whole staff are very informative. Hire them, you won't regret it!

Thank you Natasha, our goal is always to provide a good service and help our clients in a time of need.

Didn't notify of everything I'd need to pay for. Didn't give written description as promised. Was told testing company shouldn't perform remediation.
Hello,
I am very disappointed in the service provided by _________________________. First of all I was told by many companies, including them, that the company that does the testing is not allowed to do the remediation. This makes sense because it would benefit the company hugely to find problems such as mold so they can give them the remediation business.
We were told a few things that never panned out. First we were told that we would have everything in writing, including suggestions for remediation when we hired the other company. We were also told that the company would charge us for the rooms that they did. So before I had this company come out I priced other companies as well and decided to go with this company because of that. Once they came to my house the guy (who was extremely nice!) informed me that I would have to pay for the outside test as well which took my wife and I by surprise. Not sure why I needed to pay for this because that has nothing to do with my house. In my eyes it surely seems as a way to get more money from me. But anyway, he said I needed to pay for this outside test and at this point I wasn't able to tell him to go home, so there is another $250 I think it was. I was stuck at that point since I would have to pay them for coming out and doing everything else. Then, when the results came in there was not even a reading for the outside air. The test didn't show any mold or anything at all. She said this has never happened. So in my eyes it didn't and why would I need to pay for this. Did anyone tell me we'd get money back for that? No. But amazingly they were still able to diagnose our house without this reading and tell us all the money we could spend through their company to fix it. So if this test was so important that I needed to pay $250 for it how true were the results? I would like at the very least the money back for the outside air quality that 1) we weren't initially told about and 2) that didn't show any results at all. I would also like to get what we were told we would be given. We were told verbally on the phone (which I couldn't remember a quarter of what she told me) a print out of suggestions for remediation. I would also like to know (which nobody has told us yet) how these molds came and where they are located? It seems like if they can find the mold they need to let us know where it is from or how it got there at the very least. I would like this all in writing so I don't have to try to remember everything or take forever writing it down if they call. I paid this company a lot of money for what? To tell me I could spend a lot more money renting 3 machines from them for my house for a few days. I wrote a response on the website somewhere about this company after the testing was done but still never heard anything at all from them.
Thanks for your time. It is appreciated.

Desired Outcome

I would like a full write up of where the mold is or at the very least how they think we got this mold. We'd like a full description write up like we were told we'd get NOT just the results of the mold. We'd like a refund of the air quality test we were not told about which didn't end up showing the correct results anyhow. Find out why they are tying to spend my money when they as well as others told us that the company that does the testing should not do the testing.

We really apologize that you felt this way. We always go above and beyond to satisfy the customers that we work with. MRT never offered to performed any remediation in your house. We were hired to run mold and air quality inspection and that's all we did. And for the record, an outdoor background sample is always mandatory with any indoor samples.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The company didn't respond to why we didn't receive a written response (or document) stating their findings. Also, they weren't honest regarding trying to do things at my house to fix the problems. Initially we were told when I first called to get info to test my house that they can't to remediation. Although when I called to get the results We were told on the phone (which I have all my notes from the information given to me on the phone) we could rent their machines. They suggested 3 but said we could probably get away with 2. We were also told the prices for all of this.
Regarding the outside quality test. We now understand that it is important and why it is important. This was never stated that we'd need or even have to pay for the outside quality air test. We'd like a reimbursement for this since the results were zero, which the lady said she has never seen before. Of course there has to be mold outside! If this is such an important test to be done that you have to charge the customers then we will need it to be accurate to get an accurate reading of the inside of our house. I'd think that would change the results of our testing. We'd prefer a reimbursement but will also accept them coming to the house to perform the test again so our readings will be accurate with an accurate outside air quality test. Most importantly, we'd like them to make sure they tell people that this test is mandatory. We were told of the charges to do the test in the bedroom, living room, and the kids playroom. They never told us that we'd have to pay for or even do an outside air test.
I also want to repeat the part I said in the initial comments to Revdex.com which was that the guy that came to the house was very nice and polite. We are just upset about the fact of paying more than we wanted. We priced around different companies and went with them because of that pricing around. It would have likely changed things if we knew of another $250 testing fee (I am pretty sure that is the cost off the top of my head).
Also, we feel that by just talking to someone on the phone doesn't give us much info at all. We paid a lot of money to not be comfortable knowing how we got the mold, where it is, ... We, at this point, feel like we paid a lot of money for them to say that we have some mold in our house. We pretty much knew this already. We need to know where, how much, how to fix it, if it is a dangerous level, ... All we were sent were test results with a bunch of numbers that we have no clue how to read. That is not much knowledge after paying a lot of money to this company. We are very reasonable people, we'd like to just see something for the money we have spent. Thanks so much for your time!

Pleae check your facts. Renting air scrubbers does not consider to be a Remediation project. Also, We did send you an assessment letter explaining the entire lab report. If you contact our office we can resend it again.

Not sure how rending a air scrubber to fix the air is not remediation. They surely told me that it would fix the mold in my house when I talked to them on the phone. So in my eyes that is remediation. It is after the fact of the tests being done to fix the problems. They told me that it would fix the air/mold so not sure how this is not remediation.
Please resend report.
Lastly, no response was given to either the outside air test being done again or reimbursement since it was not showing any mold which the lady said that has never happened. Obviously there is mold outside and the test had some problem. I don't want to pay for a 0 mold outside when everyone knows mold is present outside everywhere.
Thanks for your time in this matter.

I hired MRT to come do a mold inspection in our new home. My family and I have not been feeling well. I'm currently going to doctor, including blood tests to see what's going on. I spoke with a lady named *** that came over right away for a brief, half an hour, inspection of my home. I asked why she was not testing all rooms and she said it was not necessary. Before she even started the inspection and mold tests...she was already mentioning renting out air scrubbers and cleaning my coils. She said to wait 24 hours for my results and I did. I called the next day after my 24 hour mark, to discuss my results. She could not give me a clear indication what was going on when she pulled up the report, so I asked to speak to her partner. Her partner, ***, told me if I wanted further testing, It would be more money from the original $375 I already paid. I told him this was never explained to me properly. *** came out 2 days later to tell me that I needed air scrubbers bc mold was in the air. I expressed my concerns that they did not find the source of my mold. *** made an estimated guess that it was probably from my AC unit. I told him I had the Air ducts clean and I asked if the air scrubbers were only going to be a temp fix. *** recommended that I rent 2 air scrubbers out from MRT for $100 a day for 3 days. I called back the next day to try and discuss with him my concerns..that the service they provided was not adequate. I was unhappy and frustrated bc they did not find the actual source to my mold problem. There ramification for the problem was to spend more money. MRT did not provide me with a definitive answer to my mold source...just an estimated guess. In the state of Florida any inspections have to refer out for remediation. It's illegal for them to supply air scrubbers. I have done further research, and spoke to honest mold Inspectors that confirm renting air scrubbers is only a temp fix. I Emailed MRT in attempt to get a refund. MRT agreed at first through an Email, then said no.
Product_Or_Service: mold inspection

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment I would like to get my $375 back from MRT. Through my Email they confirmed they would, then the very next day said they will NOT. They never provided me a def source but just an estimated guess to my mold findind. They are most likly scheming others to pay for air scrubbers, which is only a temp fix. The fact that they are providing MOLD REMEDIATION in the state of Florida is illegal. The business card says it also. I tried with several attempts to express my concerns but was dismissed.

MRT Owner and CEO contacted the consumer regarding a notice received from the Revdex.com. MRT communicated with the consumer and shared the details of the resolution reached. MRT provided contact information for additional questions, requests, and/or correspondence specific to the consumer's concerns. The consumer indicated they were satisfied.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I was not contacted by the owner or CEO of MRT to resolve anything from the above response dated 2-16-2020. You can clearly see in the Complaint Status that MRT has repeatedly been unresponsive to Revdex.com to try and resolve this problem since 2018 or make an real effort to make anything right...so why now?. To say I am a satisfied customer is astonishing and an understatement,a complete lie. In fact, after I reported them to Revdex.com in 2018- the owner (***) tried to threaten me with a court letter/document stating if I did not take down the review- MRT would sue me. (I will attached documents if needed for proof). I had a young women park her car on the side on of the road, did not park in my driveway, knocked on my door, and proceeded to hand me the letter around 9:00pm one Sunday night. I, as well as Revdex.com, have tried to resolve this issue with numerous attempts to get my refund of $375 but nothing. After all this company has put me and my family through, I then had to hire another mold inspection company to come out and test my home. There is a lack of integrity with unethical standards from MRT, a dishonest company thriving on making money- not making me/the customer happy/satisfied. I tried to make this simple from the beginning by requesting my $375 refund and its a shame it had to go this far but others have the right to know. No ramifications have been instilled at any point to appease my undeserving treatment, or any real effort to make me/the customer happy since 2018.
