Review: Had shoe repaired (new lift on heel) on Sunday, wore shoe on Tuesday and the new lift was worn down by mid-day. Returned to store and employee in store ( who repaired the shoe) stated that was the only material they had and there was nothing he could do. Refused to make any attempt to repair his work or offer a refund. Employee spoke in a loud, menacing voice as he repeatedly stated he would not make attempt to repair the shoe even after I showed him that the nail was protruding through the bottom of the heel.Desired Settlement: Repair of incompetent work or refund

To Whom It May Concern:
This Letter is to respond to the incident about the repair issues that occurred on Sunday, October [redacted] 2013 at my shoe repair shop regarding complaint ID #[redacted]. The customer stated that she picked up the shoe on Sunday, October [redacted] 2013 and began to wear it on Tuesday, October [redacted] 2013 for four hours. Please note that the shoe was repaired to the best of our ability, to the customer's specification and all the material used on the heel replacement was the same one used for every repair of that type. It seems illogical and impossible that a new rubber shoe heel is worn out in a period of four hours. I inspected the shoes and determined it was not the job I performed. I have a no refund policy inside my shoe repair shop which is visible to the customer. The sign is in front of the cash register in red and black ink.
The years that I have owned my shop, I have never had complaints on any of my repairs. All of my customers are always satisfied and they bring me more shoes to repair. This customer paid and checked the work that was done before leaving the store. This job was performed to the customer's specification and before the customer left the store, the shoes were checked. My shoe repair policy is as follows: If I see the material; that I used was defected, I would replace at no cost to the customer. However, the shoe repair store policy clearly states: "No Refund".
Our motto is to satisfy our costumer's needs providing an inexpensive price and use high quality material for every shoe repair. Should you have further questions, do not hesitate to can or write.
Sincerely,
Business

To Whom It May Concern:
This Letter is to respond to your letter dated December **, 2013 regarding the incident about the repair issues that occurred on Sunday, October [redacted] 2013 at my shoe repair shop regarding complaint ID #[redacted]. Attached you will find copies of two invoices showing where the material I use for repairs are ordered from. Please note that these same materials are used city wide in many shoe repair shops. However, it is possible that the one section used on one of the shoes may have been defective. As a result, I have decided to refund this client the full fee of $8.00 back. Please let me know what I should do on my end to get this refund back to this client. I apologize for any inconvenience this matter may have caused.
Our motto is to satisfy our costumer's needs providing an inexpensive price and use high quality material for every shoe repair. Should you have further questions, do not hesitate to call or write.
