In response to this complaint,#The Customer told us to diagnose a drivability issue that turned on the Check Engine Light.#The Vehicle had an intermittent issue that was only happening in very short intervalsWe tested the compression of the
motor first, and at that time it measured normalWe moved on to checking all the electrical connections to the fuel injectors and the ignition partsAll of these checked okayWe noticed when we drove the truck, with test equipment connected, that a problem would occur in which the #cylinder fuel injector would shut off until the motor was restartedWhen we would return to our shop and test everything, including #cylinder compression, all of the testing would check out normal.#The Customer had been explained to, in detail, of everything that we were doing, including the time involved and the price at that point in timeThe Customer told us to continue, but if we were to find that the motor had a mechanical issue, that we should stop everything and he would get rid of the truck-#The last call that we had with the Customer, we informed the Customer that the problem would not show up long enough for a final diagnosisThe Customer paid the bill and picked up the truck at that time.#I received a call from the Customer a few weeks later, and he explained that he had the vehicle checked out by two *** dealersThe first dealer could not diagnose the problemWhen he took the vehicle to the second dealer, they did a compression test and found that the motor had no compression in the #cylinderBy that time the issue was constant and could finally be diagnosed.#The Customer asked for a refund from usI told him that we had completed our job correctly, and we had checked his vehicle out thoroughlyIf the truck had consistently failed, as it had at the second dealer, we could have had an easy diagnosis as they had.#The Customer's truck had wiring repairs made on the engine controls before it came to our shopThese repairs were not done nicely, and because of this, we had to make sure in our diagnostics that they were not the problemWhen told the Customer about these previous repairs, he denied that his truck had ever had these wiring issuesI told him that could clearly show him the wiring repairs previously done, but he did not want to hear about it.#We have been in business for years, and we have never had any complaints to the Revdex.comThis customer was very hard to dealwith, and he refused to listen to reason.#We will not be refunding anything to this customer, as the bill properly reflects the work that was completed on his vehicle
