Review: I hired Molly Maid (MM) to deep-clean on Aug 29, 2013 for our new home before moving in. They required us to give them a credit card number to hold the cleaning appointment. My husband closed on the home Aug 23, 2013, and then took a copy of our house key to the MM office. After that, he bought a mini-fridge along with various drinks, cups, trash cans, greeting card and trash bags for us to have once we arrived. We flew in from TX on Aug 30th. We walked into the house, and immediately I could tell the house was not deep-cleaned. In addition, all of the items my husband purchased were removed from the house (except for the mini-fridge). We called the MM office and spoke to both [redacted] and [redacted] but mainly [redacted]. We complained about the service and our missing items. MM claimed that the cleaning crew though it was a move-out cleaning, rather than a move-in deep in. They mistook our items for trash, but none of it was in the trash bag left outside by the cleaning crew. The cleaning crew told [redacted] that they had all of our items and would be returning them to us in twenty minutes. I consider that stealing. Three hours later, and after multiple call to the MM office, the cleaning crew finally show up with our items in the trunk of their car. Again, if it was all mistaken as trash, why weren't the items thrown away. Not trusting the cleaning crew, but needing our house cleaned, I asked them to clean the kitchen counters, windows and floors. About twenty minutes of work. I call back on Tue Sept 3 to resolve this issue with MM office. They charged us $420 ($83.46 per hour) for cleaning on Aug 29. If in fact they cleaned for 5.5 hours, the house would have been impeccable. I spoke to [redacted] at length on September 3 to ask for a full-refund, minus the twenty of work done on Aug 30, but she refused because I didn't take any pictures. I spent my entire weekend cleaning the house myself. I asked her to tell owner [redacted] to call me, but no returned calls. It's been 24 hours.Desired Settlement: $420.80 refund, minus 20 minutes of work ($27.54) = $393.26

Fire the cleaning crew for stealing, and taking three hours to arrive back with the items they stole.

An apology; we left our family and friends in TX, moved here knowing no one, and this is our first experience in our new NJ home. [redacted] was very rude and never did have a "customers first" attitude. I complained with corporate MM office, but since this is a franchised location, the owner of the franchise ([redacted] has to resolve it. Based on him not returning my call, I am sure no one in the office cares about customers when something goes wrong. Yes, I gave them my credit card number to hold the appointment, but I never signed or authorized them to charge any amount. [redacted] told me when I made my appointment that I could change my form of payment after the service was performed.
