[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I was told the deposit was required to hold the specific kitten I wantedTherefore, the deposit was conditional (specifically for the female orange kitten I requested)The kitten hadn't been spayed/neutered so wasn't ready to go homeOtherwise I would have paid full amount and taken it homeGood thing I didn't because it was actually a male due to your employee's errorMy lease where I live only allows female and I repeatedly requested a female and asked the employee is she was sure, but later she called and said the whole kennel of kittens she showed me were maleYou did not inform me that you were "holding" kittens for me to viewWhen did you inform me of that? I want dates and how you supposedly informed meYou were rude to me once I requested my $backYou treat people nicely who are paying you, but try to get money back for something that was due to you/your employees' error and you blame the customer instead of operating a fair and ethical business.Why is this $so important to you? It's not your money and you didn't work hard to earn itYou're trying to steal it from me for a kitten that I could not get due to your employee's error.I continue to request my $deposit back due to your employee's errorIt is only fair and right.Regards, [redacted]

We have a policy that was clearly posted and explained You agreed to the policy, in writing, prior to putting down the deposit Changing your mind after the fact, does not negate that policy or agreement We were willing to work with you to find you a kitten of your choosing as you wanted a female Your understanding of that was clearly demonstrated as you visited to look at other kittens We were holding two kitten for you to come see and you never came to see them When you informed us that changed your mind, our no-refund policy was explained to you by both my staff and myself A signed copy of the written agreement was provided to you This has all been explained to you repeatedly, including in a complaint in another venue It was your choice to get a kitten elsewhere knowing that the deposit would not be returned Your complaint in another venue was rejected as we have supporting documentation as to our policy and your signed agreement to that policy Our position remains the same

We didn't respond to this complaint initially, because we didn't receive it We have already responded to this complainant several times via other formats and she still chooses to seek other venues to complain The complainant read, signed and agreed to our no refund policy It was
her decision, not ours, to adopt a kitten elsewhere after she placed her non-refundable deposit Therefore, despite the fact that she no longer wishes to agree to terms which she initially agreed too, she forfeits her deposit Our position remains unchanged, the same as it has been every other time this has been explained to her
