We would like to offer our deepest apologies for the trouble you had to experience at Mommy Dearest Formal.  This situation is not ordinary and these incidents are not typical of us.  We are very serious when it comes to our client’s satisfaction and have a zero tolerance policy in this...

respect.  We appreciate that you understand that misunderstanding sometimes happen despite the numerous checks and measures.  We are very sorry that this happened to you but rest assured it won’t happen again. We apologize if there was a misunderstanding between [redacted] and [redacted], but [redacted] is aware that alterations are a separate fee and that All sales are final.  No exchange, cash, credit, or refunds.  As we were trying on different gowns, [redacted] is aware that we did not have any size 2 or 4 in store.  We did let her know ahead of time that with her wedding affair being so near we may not be able to order her gown of choice in time as it usually takes 6 to 8 months to order a wedding gown and so she may have to result in altering the dress down to accommodate her size.  We did mention to [redacted] that we have a lady in house to do her alterations if needed and that it would be a separate fee.  She mentioned to us that sizing will not be an issue since she had her own seamstress and would not have to use our lady.  As she found her dress, she claims that she was in love with the “[redacted]” in the size 12, in the color ivory over light gold, as the dress was clipped to her body.  When we check the manufactory stock, there was one size 4 in the color all ivory left that we could rush here for her.  We offered to order her the smaller dress size that would be closer to her size and stated that it would save her money on alterations had she went with the size 12, at first she agreed upon ordering the smaller size so that they would not have to deal with alteration expenses, but changed her mind thus we were unable to order the dress in the color ivory over light gold that she wanted.  [redacted]’s mom did continuously as [redacted] if she was sure of the gown before she made the purchase considering that the dress has to be altered and [redacted] stated yes.  She also wanted our alterations lady to alter her dress since she said she rather trust her thus she let the dress here at our store so that she did not have to travel back and forth with her gown for the weekend as her alterations appointment was made for July 6, 2015 at 4:30pm.  On Monday, July 6, 2015 [redacted] called us and asked if we would price match her purchase since she found a dress over the weekend that was very similar to the “[redacted]” at a consignment store in her size.  We apologized to her and offer our deepest apologizes as we do not price match with a consignment store, we then told her we would see her that evening for alteration since she made an appointment.  She apologized and stated that she thought she made the appointment for July 7, 2015 and said that she would see us tomorrow for alterations.  [redacted] then calls us again on July 7, 2015 and asked for a refund or an exchange for something cheaper and we too had to apologize to her due to our “All sales are final.  No exchange, cash, credit, or refunds” store policy.  [redacted] also was aware of our store policy since there are numerous signs placed throughout our boutique that states “alterations are a separate fee” and that “All sales are final.  No exchange, cash, credit or refunds.”  Her mom also signed stating that “Acknowledgement of sales agreed when signed.”  There is also one sign at check out point and one as you are exiting our boutique.  Alteration is also a separate business from our boutique, it is available for the customer’s  convenience and our customers do not have to choose to do business with the seamstress if they do not choose to.  Due to this unintentional, our boutique will look further into this matter and may let the alteration services go.  This is the least that we can do for the inconvenience caused.  We do hope this resolution fulfills your expectations and helps clear any deformed image you might have had about our services. To make things even better, we have taken a number of measures to ensure that this error and similar mistakes do not happen again in the future.  It is due to you that we have realized this and we thank you for sharing your experience with us.  We prefer to learn and improve under better conditions but sometimes this is just not possible. One more time we apologize for this error and we hope to keep you as part of our valued customer base for a very long time.
