My son had his wedding/reception at Mon Ami in Aug Everything was good except we had some bar issues When the bar first opened, our guests could go and get 2/drinks ( extra one for them/spouse etc) And later they told our guests that they were only allowed drink! Some of our guest were NOT happy as they changed in the middle of the night I was told by one of our guests of this situation and I went to the banquet manger and she said it was an Ohio law that they were only allowed drink She went and got the glasses of wine from the bar that they would not give to our guest In all the receptions I have been to, I have never heard of this before and I don't believe it is a lawI did have a meeting with her and owners son and told her I wanted to see that in writing about the drink law and she said the owners are out of town so I have not gotten anything yet (Aug to Oct) She kept telling me how much bud light we drank and I told her it didn't matter as we paid Mon Ami by the head They ran out of Bud light per my brother in line and was NOT told if he waited they could get more from the main bar Instead the bar maid threw the drink sign to the side and asked them to choose something else I'm just wondering if at a certain point they start to lose money and that is why the liquor is limited! My guests should not of left our reception mad about this issue! I wondered if anyone else ran into this issue with them at a reception? [redacted]
