Mon Amie Salon Reviews (4)

I would like to start off my response by pointing out that [redacted] failed to mention that she had her hair bleached out times in day by a friend of hers the week prior to coming to meWhen she arrived for her 6pm appointment for a toner with me I quickly realized it was going to be a much bigger jobSince she was my last client of the night, I graciously offered to stay beyond business hours to attempt to fix the mess at handHer hair was shades of blonde (white, yellow, orange, etc)The condition of the hair had been severely comprised from the previous stylist, and the porosity was uneven Once seated in my chair she showed me a few pictures of how she wanted her hair to lookOne of the photos she showed me was of a model from a class I had attended the previous monthThe instructor, along with a few assistants, worked on that model's hair for days to achieve the finished lookI explained that to her at the very beginning of the serviceWe decided to darken her root area a few shades and do a toner on the ends to help even everything outSince her hair was so uneven to begin with, the first application of color on the roots did not turn out evenI decided to do it a second time to achieve better coverageAfter that she mentioned wanting to do some lowlights throughout the ends to give the blonde more dimension in another week or soI informed her that I would be going out of the country for a week and offered to do it that evening despite the late hourShe agreedAfter hours of work and numerous ounces of hair color, we were finishedI charged her $for the color service which is actually less than what my salon's prices are for the services she receivedShe added a $tip to make it a total of $A tip is never required or expected, therefore when someone gives one it is assumed that a job was done wellAs she stated in her letter, she attempted to call the salon once I was already out of the countryI was only gone week, and when I returned to work I did not receive any messages about her callingI did however receive a message from her on Instagram days after her service asking me about a product I used on her during her serviceIf she had really been that unhappy about the outcome of her hair and was unable to get in contact with me at the salon, this would have been the perfect opportunity for her to express that in the message she sent meHowever, she made no mention of it, leading me to believe that everything was fineAlmost months after the service had been performed I received a notification saying that she was disputing the chargeI was not provided with a detailed description of why she was disputing it thoughThe only thing I was told was that the "service was not as described"After that amount of time since the service and no explanation as to why she wanted a refund I did not grant oneIt was not until I received the letter from Revdex.com that I was made aware that she was unhappy with her outcomeIf she had spoken to me directly back when the service was performed I would have been more than happy to fix what she did not likeI give all of my clients a week window to return if there is something they don't like- free of chargeI am not the one who told her she would have to pay for it again since she never even spoke to meWhat [redacted] also needs to realize is that her hair was not in optimal condition when she came to me, and I did the best I could in the time I was allottedPictures on Instagram are misleading because they don't always state how many sessions/hours were required to achieve those looks or the money that was spentI do not appreciate being attacked this way and slandered when I was never made aware that there was an issue with the way her color turned outUnfortunately, after months have passed since the serviced was performed I cannot issue a refund

I am rejecting this response because: I've read her response and its absolutely incorrectI did tell her that my hair was bleached, otherwise how would she have known? I also sent her the message about the hair oil she used the next day, after that I tried to send another and it didn't go throughIf she read it days after that not my proble please tell Her to show the time and date stamp on the messageI did call the salon more than times within a week and they told me she would call me when she's back and nobody didI gave her the tip because I was taught to always give tips when you have something done and because I was thankful she stayed extra time and did everything, not because I thought my hair had come out greatShe herself even said yes the lighting in here is bad so it's better to see in the daytimeI also didn't even get a good look so once home was when I realized the mistakesShe never said my hair wasn't in good condition or uneven or anything, my hair was an all over platinum colorI stated many times that this has nothing to do with her as a person because I enjoyed the conversation and I'm sure she's a good stylist what upset me was that I tried to contact the salon and they never had her call me back or make any attempt to fixI completely understand that pictures online look different and that the starting hair can affect the outcome but she said she could do it when I showed her the picAnd she's correct I showed her the pic that she said her friend had done but I didn't ask for that specifically I said something like thisIt was never my intent to file anything or ask for anything back but like I said nobody tried to work out any sort of resolution with me or attempt to fix it and I've had to go back and pay even more to fix thatI did conact right away it's taken months because of the process not because I filed anytjing months afterIf she or her salon had made any attempt to fix the situation I would've never filed anythingI actually quite liked her and thought she was very fun, and I'm not attacking her I just feel like it's wrong for them to have done that

I am rejecting this response because:
I've read her response and its absolutely incorrect. I did tell her that my hair was bleached, otherwise how would she have known? I also sent her the message about the hair oil she used the next day, after that I tried to send another and it didn't go through. If she read it 11 days after that not my proble please tell Her to show the time and date stamp on the message. I did call the salon more than 3 times within a week and they told me she would call me when she's back and nobody did. I gave her the tip because I was taught to always give tips when you have something done and because I was thankful she stayed extra time and did everything, not because I thought my hair had come out great. She herself even said yes the lighting in here is bad so it's better to see in the daytime. I also didn't even get a good look so once home was when I realized the mistakes. She never said my hair wasn't in good condition or uneven or anything, my hair was an all over platinum color. I stated many times that this has nothing to do with her as a person because I enjoyed the conversation and I'm sure she's a good stylist what upset me was that I tried to contact the salon and they never had her call me back or make any attempt to fix. I completely understand that pictures online look different and that the starting hair can affect the outcome but she said she could do it when I showed her the pic. And she's correct I showed her the pic that she said her friend had done but I didn't ask for that specifically I said something like this. It was never my intent to file anything or ask for anything back but like I said nobody tried to work out any sort of resolution with me or attempt to fix it and I've had to go back and pay even more to fix that. I did conact right away it's taken 4 months because of the process not because I filed anytjing 4 months after. If she or her salon had made any attempt to fix the situation I would've never filed anything. I actually quite liked her and thought she was very fun, and I'm not attacking her I just feel like it's wrong for them to have done that.

I would like to start off my response by pointing out that [redacted] failed to mention that she had her hair bleached out 4 times in 1 day by a friend of hers the week prior to coming to me. When she arrived for her 6pm appointment for a toner with me I quickly realized it was going to be a much...

bigger job. Since she was my last client of the night, I graciously offered to stay beyond normal business hours to attempt to fix the mess at hand. Her hair was 50 shades of blonde (white, yellow, orange, etc). The condition of the hair had been severely comprised from the previous stylist, and the porosity was uneven.  Once seated in my chair she showed me a few pictures of how she wanted her hair to look. One of the photos she showed me was of a model from a class I had attended the previous month. The instructor, along with a few assistants, worked on that model's hair for 2 days to achieve the finished look. I explained that to her at the very beginning of the service. We decided to darken her root area a few shades and do a toner on the ends to help even everything out. Since her hair was so uneven to begin with, the first application of color on the roots did not turn out even. I decided to do it a second time to achieve better coverage. After that she mentioned wanting to do some lowlights throughout the ends to give the blonde more dimension in another week or so. I informed her that I would be going out of the country for a week and offered to do it that evening despite the late hour. She agreed. After 5 hours of work and numerous ounces of hair color, we were finished. I charged her $175 for the color service which is actually less than what my salon's prices are for the services she received. She added a $35 tip to make it a total of $210. A tip is never required or expected, therefore when someone gives one it is assumed that a job was done well. As she stated in her letter, she attempted to call the salon once I was already out of the country. I was only gone 1 week, and when I returned to work I did not receive any messages about her calling. I did however receive a message from her on Instagram 11 days after her service asking me about a product I used on her during her service. If she had really been that unhappy about the outcome of her hair and was unable to get in contact with me at the salon, this would have been the perfect opportunity for her to express that in the message she sent me. However, she made no mention of it, leading me to believe that everything was fine. Almost 2 months after the service had been performed I received a notification saying that she was disputing the charge. I was not provided with a detailed description of why she was disputing it though. The only thing I was told was that the "service was not as described". After that amount of time since the service and no explanation as to why she wanted a refund I did not grant one. It was not until I received the letter from Revdex.com that I was made aware that she was unhappy with her outcome. If she had spoken to me directly back when the service was performed I would have been more than happy to fix what she did not like. I give all of my clients a 2 week window to return if there is something they don't like- free of charge. I am not the one who told her she would have to pay for it again since she never even spoke to me. What [redacted] also needs to realize is that her hair was not in optimal condition when she came to me, and I did the best I could in the time I was allotted. Pictures on Instagram are misleading because they don't always state how many sessions/hours were required to achieve those looks or the money that was spent. I do not appreciate being attacked this way and slandered when I was never made aware that there was an issue with the way her color turned out. Unfortunately, after 4 months have passed since the serviced was performed I cannot issue a refund.
