*** *** came into our office for a scheduled interview on November 24, During the course of the interview, Miss *** was curious about the different Matchmaking options that were available After presenting the different options to her, she wanted to move forward and she agreed to
make a good faith deposit to get the process started From there, we sent Miss *** a Personalized Profile Form, took a photograph for her Matchmaking profile, and completed a background check Her deposit covered this process, and please see attached *** ***'s completed Personalized Profile Form and other attached items she submitted for her Matchmaking profile After receiving this information, we contacted Miss *** about a potential Match we had for her, and we wanted to determine if she was still interested in meeting the gentleman we had in mind for her We provided *** *** with a document for her to sign stating that she was giving us permission to set her up on this introduction, and we did not hear back from her until December 10, 2015, stating she did not want to be set up anymore and she requested a refund Since Miss *** made this deposit, as stated, in good faith, it was a verbal contract that was executed and implemented The permission form that was provided to Miss *** was e-mailed to her for her files, and she followed through with the process, except for that portion Out of good faith on our behalf, we offered Miss *** the opportunity to meet a Match on March 16, 2016, and am still waiting for a response

As a courtesy to our Clients, Monday at 8 grants the option for Clients to freeze their respective Memberships, so they do not lapse.  This option provides the ability for Clients to explore potential relationships with their Matches, without feeling rushed or pressured that their Membership period will expire.  Moreover, Monday at 8 reserves the right to freeze the Membership of each respective Client as a courtesy option in order to potentially introduce each respective Client to their best potential Match that we feel is a potentially good fit.  Since our service is a process, Monday at 8 advises our Clients that finding love through our Matchmaking service is a long term commitment, one that we take quality control and care with.  As a result, when Ms. [redacted] requested her Six remaining Matches during the first week of June, we reached out to her on three separate occasions to clarify exactly where we were at with the Matchmaking process and that her next Match would potentially be available within the next couple of weeks.  We also wanted to clarify if she wanted Six different introductions within that particular first week and if she did, we were prepared to move forward to accommodate her request.  Since Ms. [redacted] was completely unresponsive after her request in respect to our three attempts to contact her, Monday at 8 took the liberty to freeze her Membership and her Membership is still open and active.  We would still love to introduce her to her next Match as early as next week.  We apologize for any miscommunication and appreciate Ms. [redacted] as a Client.

Ms. [redacted] has been introduced to six gentlemen, with her last introduction on April 26, 2017.  It was after this introduction, we gave Ms. [redacted] a phone call the following week with an update on the matches, and she was open and excited for her next potential match.  We let Ms. [redacted]...

know to not hesitate with any questions at all, as our line is always open for our Clients.  We did not hear from Ms. [redacted], so we reached out with an E-mail update on May 15, 2017 and gave her an update to let her know that we were in the process of personally interviewing select matches on her behalf, and we would keep her updated.  After interviewing the potential candidates for Ms. [redacted], we narrowed down her next match and we were ready to coordinate and schedule this for her.  It was at this time, we received an E-mail on June 1, 2017 from Ms. [redacted] stating that she wanted her six remaining matches to be scheduled within the next week, or else she would not want to continue forward with the matchmaking process.  In response, we gave her a phone call and sent two E-mails with no response, informing her to give us a call or E-mail back, so we could inform her with an update on the membership dates and to move forward with her next introduction.  We also invited her to meet with one of our Matchmaking Coordinators, to make sure everyone was on the same page.  We did not hear back until June 7th, 2017, when Ms. [redacted] informed us that she did not wish to meet with a Coordinator or to meet her remaining matches at all.  Ms. [redacted] agreed to a 9 month Membership and 12 Matches, with a 90 day freeze period.  This membership is outlined on our web site membership options.  Per the terms and conditions that Ms. [redacted] agreed to, freeze periods can be implemented on both sides of the matchmaking process, thus indicating that Ms. [redacted]'s membership is still active and open until November 16, 2017.  We informed her that her membership is still open and active, and we would still hope to introduce her to her upcoming match.  Our service is a process, and we take the feedback on each introduction very seriously, and that is particularly why we reserve the right to enact the freeze period, so we can implement the matchmaking process on a timeline that is reasonable and fair for all parties involved.  While we could have introduced Ms. [redacted] on her six remaining matches for that particular and specific week she requested, she was unresponsive after that request, and furthermore, that would have been against our recommendations.  We hope to continue to work with Ms. [redacted], and we are looking forward to introducing her to her next upcoming introduction if she continues to move forward with the process.

I am rejecting this response because: ReplyA contract between multiple parties requires communication between those parties and approval by those parties. At no time while I was signing up with Monday at 8 did they explain or discuss having complete liberty to freeze my contract without communication with me or my approval. Even if the contract states a freeze can be enacted the contract also requires approval by all parties.I contacted Monday at 8 on 6/1/2017 and stated that to meet our contract they would have to set me up with 6 dates within a week. I contacted them. At no time leading up to our contract end date did Monday at 8 contact me and communicate they would not meet the contract and would like to enact a freeze on their side. Nor did they ask my permission to enact a freeze. In addition, the contract states that if I enact a freeze I have to submit my request in writing to be signed by myself and Monday at 8. No similar courtesy was extended to me by Monday at 8 when they enacted a freeze on my membership. After Monday at 8 responded I contacted them back in less than a week. I took the time I needed to decide what path forward I wanted to take, at which time I declined their statement (not request) that they would be freezing my contract. The contract was 12 dates in 9 months. Monday at 8 did not meet the contract nor treated me with respect via clear open communication about their process or seeking my approval in writing to enact a freeze on their side.I understand that a matchmaking service is a process that takes time. 9 months is a long time and I made that commitment to them. Monday at 8 did not communicate to me that the contract length would automatically be extended by them when they didn't meet their side of the contract giving them total liberty with my life and commitment to their service. Monday at 8 has no right, contract or otherwise, to dictate my life without my consent.I feel I deserve compensation for the disrespect Monday at 8 has shown me and for the fact that they did not meet the contract of 12 dates in 9 months with written communication and approval on both sides if a freeze was enacted by either party.I have stated and will continue to state that I will accept no less than a refund for the dates that Monday at 8 did not meet under our 9 month contract. And that doesn't even begin to cover the disrespect they have shown me.
Sincerely,

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:When I signed up with Monday at 8 it was explained to me that I could freeze my contract if I met a match that I wanted to see again and possibly pursue a relationship. It was not explained to me that Monday at 8 could freeze (which they are now substituting extend which is not the same thing) the contract and use it as a loop hole to get out of meeting their contract. The contract was for 12 dates in 9 months, they did not meet their commitment.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
