Monetary Gold

First wired money to a branch they said and it was closed, so it was returned. Then FedExed it (FedEx used wrong address and it took 2 weeks for an overnight delivery). Got several different stories about coin availability for investment grade coins. They claimed they knew how to do international shipments - papers were riddled with problems - fraudulent documents, wrong valuation, no paid PO or Invoice needed for customs. The did not ship from their vault but bought from a NY wholesaler who shipped to another company for international shipping (who had no idea how to fill out customs documents and stated the gold coins were "paperweights" and valued at $2600/paperweight. It took me sending them documents I had from another company who shipped me coins that arrived within 3 days of the order to finally get the shipment moving with NEW DOCUMENTATION as needed by customs to get my coins. When they finally arrived I found I had paid a premium price for Spring 2020 Eagle/Liberty gold coins BUT received pre-1930 gold bullion NOT the coins I was charged for. I finally received the coins in March 2020 and have been trying to get the overcharge back from them this whole time (nearly 4 months). The coins I paid for have made dramatic increase in value and the bullion coins I have (paid nearly $2600/coin and spot which bullion will never be worth more than is now finally worth $1853.) I was charged over $822 PREMIUM for gold bullion. I expected to pay some commission but that was 43% and a LOT more than I expected. They convinced me to do business with them by stating "WE HAVE NEVER HAD A COMPLAINT AGAINGST US". Well the BBB page they sent me to agreed but I have since found that wasn't true. Personal experience is they are a rip off con scam and I will give them ALL KINDS OF FREE ADVERTISING as they stole from a pensioner who they knew was sacrificing a lot to buy the coins from them. When they finally sent back the balance of the money they didn't use the check was only good 30 days and they had held it for 4 days before mailing it and it took over 2 weeks to get here I have trouble walking and little money so I had to take it to the bank. By the time it finally got here I had 2 days to get to the bank and my health didn't allow me to walk that far. They finally reissued the check and it arrived in a timely manner (best experience I had with them). They have refused to acknowledge either phone calls or email regarding this MAJOR screw up and seem to think it is OK to rip off seniors who can't afford to lose even $100 but they took me for THOUSANDS. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. THEY ARE CROOKS

Deal with these people and you will get churned. Don't do it!

I was initially quite apprehensive, because of the nature of the transaction and the large amount of money I was convertingI'm not a young man and I like to take things slowly My broker was incredibly patient with me The whole process took a while but they held my hand through the entire way Every question or concern I had was quickly and thoroughly addressed They were incredibly transparent and did not pressure me That means a lot at my age I now hold my IRA in physical gold and I will certainly go back to Monetary Gold next time I add to my metals position
