Thank you for taking the time to make us aware of this issueIn speaking with my staff, I've learned that the check on which you sought to place a stop payment was indeed produced via our Online Banking Bill Payment service. Thus we gave you their telephone number so that you could work with
them to get the stop payment placed correctly. As I understand it, when you visited our branch to do so, you did not have complete information in order for us to place the stop payment in lieu of referring you to iPay, our Online Banking Bill Payment servicer. Today I worked with iPay, and they placed a note on your account, which authorizes them to work with you via a relay call. Apparently, due to the proliferation of fraud by this method of communication, iPay requires MONEY Federal Credit Union to give them prior authorization in order for you to do so. Unfortunately we were unaware of this requirement when we referred you to work with them directly. Please accept my sincere apology for this oversight on our part. I feel badly that iPay did not work with you right from the start. Please know that they said it may take one business day for their system to be updated, so that their associates see the note giving them the authority to work with you via a relay call.
