Dear Revdex.com,We have received Mrs***'s request for a refund and we did process it - it was mailed and put into the patient's ledger on 9/12/2017, before we even received notice of this complaintThis is a small but busy dental office and I, Dr*** ***, do all the office billing myself,
including patient refundsBilling typically gets done once or twice a month, however at this time of year we just happened to be very busy and mid-to-end of August I was out of state on vacation with my family, therefore there was a delayAs soon as I came back and caught up with all urgent matters related to immediate patient care, I took care of office billing, including Mrs***'s refundI offer my apologies for any inconvenience and unwelcome delays.Sincerely,*** J***, DMD

Dear Revdex.com,When the patient first started in our practice he had [redacted] dental insurance of which we were a participating, contracted provider. We have completed a Root Canal Treatment (not performed a partial treatment as stated by the patient) on 5/17/017 and a follow up procedure of post/core...

build-up on 6/21/2017. At the initial visit patient provided his [redacted] information to us and we billed the services to them. At the subsequent visit he did inform us of the change in insurance carriers and we had explained that we can still process the claims but are not a contacted provider of [redacted]. When pt called to inquire about the bill and outstanding charges, out Patient Coordinator [redacted] was unable to carry a conversation and explain anything as the pt kept on hanging up on her.  [redacted] mailed to the patient's residence copies of the family ledger and explanations of benefits from insurance which show balances owed by the patient as deemed by the insurance company. We take pride in providing clear information to all our patients as to what the insurance coverage and benefits may be, verifying coverage as as accurately as possible. We would never mislead the patient, as there is absolutely no benefit to us in doing so. We are more than willing to accommodate Mr. [redacted] and set up a payment arrangement to make it more manageable to take care of the balance.  We'd like to refer you to our website at [redacted] to look at reviews (auto populated from post-visit surveys, not screened by our office) to see that we do take care of our patients and are valued for that.Sincerely,[redacted], DMD

[redacted]There was two visit to the office for the same tooth. Was never told by the office that they do not take [redacted]. Was told by the office at the time that the Take [redacted], and as long as it’s [redacted] I’m fine was never told that the do not take that insurance until that bill came to me in August, I don’t have issues paying my bills but when the office is going to say something different from the conversation we had I refuse to pay that bill. When I called the insurance company about the issues was tol that the office have the right to not take [redacted]. And that they won’t pay more than what they normally pay. The office have at the time to tell me that the will no participat with the new insurance but was never told by them till the bill came to us. That same week of May 19th my wife went to the office and she was also never told about them not taking the new insurance. But the also billed her $95 that was a so called part of the $195 I paid on that  rout canal visit. The thing that irritates me is the lies they try to get away with. It’s not the money it’s the principle.[redacted]
