Monkey Bars of Phoenix Reviews (5)

The original job (garage floor coating with full chip finish) was installed on May 26th of this year.  We were contacted approximately 3-1/2 weeks later (around June 19th) and were informed that the customer felt that there were rough spots on the floor.  Hearing that, we scheduled an...

appointment to review the floor the next available appointment which was Wednesday, June 24th.  The customer indicated that she would mark out the perceived rough spots with blue painters tape.  When I arrived on the 24th, I was met by the customer's mother or mother-in-law and was informed that the customer was on vacation.  Upon entering the first garage (there are two, two car garages) the first thing that I saw was a huge pile of crown moulding piled in the center of one of the garages, along with table saw and piles of sawdust.  There were two cars parked in the other garage.  There was blue tape all over the floor around the perimeter of one of the garages.  I reviewed the floor and indicated that the majority of the floor was perfectly normal, but agreed that there were a few rough spots around the perimeter.  I asked when the customer would return, and was told that the customer would be back by July 9th.  I requested that the woman ask the customer to give us a call upon her return from vacation, so we could coordinate a time when we could return to the home and do some corrective work.  I indicated that the garages would need to be cleared out before we could perform the work, as we were going to re-coat the floor. With that, I left and expected to receive a call in about two weeks.  The next communication I received was the email containing the complaint. With that, I contacted the homeowner yesterday and was informed that she returned home just last week.  She never contacted us by phone, email or text.  Just the complaint.  We are now scheduled to return to the home next Friday morning, July 31st to do the corrective work.  Just like we originally said we would do.  We were just waiting to be contacted.  I don't feel like this is a legitimate complaint, as we responded to the customer inquiry, were willing to do required corrective work, but were never advised that the customer was ready.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  The business has completed the work and I am very satisfied with the resolution.  I wish Revdex.com would delete/remove my original complaint but after talking to your office I understand that is not possible.  This was an unfortunate situation of miscommunication.  Monkey Bars is a good and honest company to do business that I would readily recommend to others.

Regards,

Review: Had the company install a sealed garage floor. The consistency of the material laid down varied throughout the floor. Most concerned with the roughness /sharpness of the floor near the garage doors entrance. It is not comfortable to walk on barefoot. We had the gentleman who installed the product out to look at it. His response was simply it would wear over time. Which does nothing for my young children who remind me how much it hurts every time they walk on it. After meeting with the gentleman from the company I tried asking a question through the companies online question form to ask about the variation in the quality of the floor, because I did not buy into being told that was normal. Have yet to receive a response. That was a month ago.Desired Settlement: Would like a different company rep to come inspect the quality of the floor. I would say 90% of the floor is exactly what I thought I was getting and I love it. The other 10% is rough and uncomfortable. And if it was anywhere other than the entrances this probably wouldn't bug me that much. But it's your first step into the garage.
