This vehicle pulled into our shop and was followed in by Manteca Police-after some time a woman came in and filled out a work order and said she was the mother and the responsible party for payment and that this is the last time she would be helping them (motor home drivers)-- we pushed the vehicle...
into our shop = battery dead, check and find battery connections loose and corroded=cleaned and tightened connections and installed charger to battery. Jack up vehicle to check customer installed starter and find engine block broken and piece missing---- no way to tighten starter properly. check inner bolt and make sure it was tight. lower vehicle and see alt. belt very loose. adjust alt belt tension-- attempt to crank-- no crank. starter just hits hard. check oil level and find water in oil and way overfull. stop. Call responsible party and inform them of whats found. Customer (mom) asked if we could put vehicle outside because she didn't know when it could be towed. We pushed vehicle out per mom. Then motor home driver came in yelling and police were called out. stop.
