House leaks"supposably" fixed (several times) under warranty
Home was purchased new in Septand builder was back to repair water leaks to several areas, several timesLast week Collin said to give him some time to get pricing to assess making things right but is now saying they won't do anything and that the Monogram that built my home was a different Monogram(Quite fraudulent if true because their website contains photos of homes built in my *** Sound neighborhood) Google Monogram to see a few photos, more to come....even the floor joists are rotting!
We bought a home from them in 2008. The pipe from a bathroom is missing 15+ ft. of pipe and was not connected to ANYTHING! Raw sewage in crawl space!
About 5 weeks ago a sour smell (like diarrhea) was noticed inside our foyer. We thought it might be a dead animal caught in our crawl space. We hired a handyman who didn't find any dead animal, but who plugged up any holes an animal could get in, and removed "the standing water" he found. (We'd had a lot of rain recently and thought that might be the source of the water.)
Last week the smell was back. The same handyman came and determined there was a lot more than just water involved. At first he looked for a leak around the area. Upon more extensive investigation he found over 15 feet of PVC pipe missing! There was no connection between the waste pipe from a guest bathroom on the second floor and the main waste pipe leading to our septic tank. Instead waste from the sink, toilet, and shower were dumping into our crawl space, splashing onto the knee wall, and rotting some floor supports. (Luckily this is a guest bathroom that's rarely used.)
When I tried reaching the plumber listed in our homeowner's manual the number was disconnected. So I called Monogram's co-owner [redacted], who said our house warranty had expired and they have no legal responsibility.
We hope no one else encounters Monogram's abysmal workmanship and ethics. In addition we'd like to be reimbursed for the associated expenses in cleaning up this mess.
