Review: My son's car had broke down 6/**/13 and my sister had it towed by AAA to Monroe Auto. [redacted] (Foreman) stated that the car needed a new fuel pump, filter, etc. The next day after the car was picked up, it would not start. My brother in-law then had it towed back to Monroe Auto as per my request. I had contacted [redacted] and informed him that after they made repairs it immediately broke down the next day. They informed my Brother in-law that the grip was loose on the starter wires, they supposedly made repairs and thanks to my brother in-law they did not charge me the second time. I paid them close to $700, for nothing. My son's car the following day broke down again, then I had it towed to my mechanic (Maplewood Auto) in [redacted] that I trust and have known for over ten years. I was just informed today by my Mechanic that the problem was never a fuel pump replacement, it was bad wiring under the air box and a new mount for the engine. It will be ready tomorrow. [redacted] stated they do not know why Monroe Auto assessed the fuel pump as the problem, that was incorrect. There are several negative reviews for this business and complaints pending with Revdex.com. They should not be in business, they are just robbing customers.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive my money back for making false repairs, wasting my time and returning a unsafe car to my son.

I am in receipt of [redacted]'s complaint and would like to point out notations made on her original invoice.

The car was towed in initially for the engine dieing while, driving. We check fuel pressure and found only 8 pounds

which would require pump replacement.

The next day we received a call that the car was in a parking lot in Middleton NY. After eing verbally

abused by [redacted] we were told the engine would not crank over in order to start. We informed

them if they had the car brought to us we would check it but the engine not cranking over does not cause

an engine to shut off while driving hence it would be a different problem.

We checked the car the next day and found the engine did not crank over at all which was never an issue when

towed in the first time. At that time it cranked over but would not start. We repaired a loose wiring connection at

the staiier which is a common problem with Ford Tamus's at no charge as customer courtesy.

Please note that we also Clearly indicated that the car was in need of engine mounts.

As for what repairs Maple wood Auto has done I cannot respond because the invoice was not forwarded.

Monroe Automotive warranties any parts listed on our invoice but we cannot warranty a 21 year old car which

is going to have a multitude of issues.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:I have read Monroe Auto's response, firstly I did not verbally abuse [redacted], I informed him that a day after I had paid $691.75 for repairs that were not the exact issues with the vehicle. Unfortunately, AAA towed to them and I was not familiar with their business practice. After reading online negative reviews and other Revdex.com complaints of Monroe Auto, the same exact issues happened to me. I felt taken advantage of and robbed. I will follow-up with AAA to file a complaint, make them aware of other complaints that I have viewed and hopefully they will drop them. I will also contact the Attorney General's office to file as well. It is unfortunate that poor business practices are allowed to continue against good customers without any accountability of their own. I then had my son's car towed to my [redacted] who I have known for over ten years and trust greatly. The vehicle was professionally repaired and has been running great since then. If I would of known the negative reviews and other Revdex.com complaints prior, I would of never towed to them, I would of paid to tow it to my Mechanic initially.
