Review: On 10/30/12 I contrated Monroe Monuments to engrave a head stone. I paid $565 for a service that is yet to be provided. I have called and left messages with no response.Desired Settlement: Engrave head stone as contracted.
Review: I would not recommenced this monument service to anyone in good faith. Incidents happen everyday in business and it is how well you are taken care of when things happen, not when you are paying for service that defines a good business. The problem with the business was the lack of follow up. If I did not call, my family would not have been any new information given. I had to initiate several calls over several months. I found the lack of follow up to be unprofessional and not worth the money spent. I would also say that everything my family experienced was not the monuments fault. I did find that the Monument business was either to lazy, uncaring, or unwilling to simply know what the updates were. For months, we did not know where our mother was buried.Desired Settlement: Not knowing where your loved one is for months after payment of service is reprehensible. We just wanted to be told what was happening, good, bad or ugly. We though it was not to much to ask. Having to chase information and follow up on broken promises added insult to injury. We still never received an update to state the headstone was up.
Review: On April 19, 2014 I signed an agreement for a monument to be made for my Mother who passed away in February 2014. I paid $325 at the time I signed the agreement. After repeated calls to the business, now the phone number is out of service, I still don't have the monument or even seen the drawing of the lettering. I found a cell phone number, I started calling and actually spoke to Gail a few times. There is a family issue going on, I'm sorry for her trouble, but I would like to complete my responsibility to my Mother. Gail has apologized for the length of time this has taken, but that doesn't help get the job done. The last time we spoke she said she would email me how the lettering will look on the monument, I haven't seen it yet. On more than one phone message I asked if she would let me out of the agreement, I have two other quotes, she said no, I'll get the job done for you. My Mother is going to be gone for a year in the near future, I would like to see this done for her.Desired Settlement: I would like the monument delivered to the cemetary as soon as possible. I realize that I still have to approve the lettering, but I want this done before February 5, 2015, my Mother's 1 year anniversary date.
