Review: In April 2013 I purchased a 1979 [redacted] from Montana Muscle and Classics (MMC hereafter). The car was advertised and purchased on eBay. The auction stated mileage was "40K Original Miles," and "like new," there were many pictures and a video as well as a money back guarantee if the car was not as advertised. We reached agreement on a price and on April 26, 2013, I provided down payment. I provided final payment per MMC's requirements. The car arrived with a leaking fuel line and plugged carb from sediment in the gas tank. The steering linkage was failed as well (this was advertised as some play). Obvious safety issues. Two doors also had damage that was created AFTER the listing photos and video were taken and posted and was not revealed in any follow up communications. MMC offered to pay the repair cost of the door damage based on 3 quotes. While driving to the second repair shop the transmission failed after about 26 miles. The trans was totally empty - it was shipped failed. At the 16 week point I finally received the paperwork to transfer the title into my name and it was CLEARLY marked odometer had exceeded its mechanical limits. Obviously NOT 40K original miles. MMC knowingly mislead everyone in their auction listing and when I spoke with [redacted] about the car she knowingly lied to me about the condition of the car as she confirmed the 40k original miles. I attempted to register the car but could not as MMC had not signed off on the title. Ive also been told I have until Sept 11 to get the car registered or the derelict auto in my driveway will be impounded. I have already invested about $200 and 4 hours in repairs to a car I dont own and Im insuring it. The trans remains failed. I refuse to repair it until this is concluded. Ive heard every excuse including, my PC crashed, my cell phone died, the paperwork is in another office, I thought my manager was doing it, and my favorite, I was caught in traffic. MMC has MY money and they own the car.Desired Settlement: It is 19 WEEKS later, I want a full refund of $4,500 and MMC takes the car.
