First of all, opening a pool only includes removing a cover, connecting a filter and pump back to the pool, skimming leaves, and starting up a pool. This does not include repairing pumps and filters and making the pool clear, as it is the job of the pool filter to filter water to make it clear....

There is no magic we can perform to turn green water clear - it takes a combination of filtration, sanitization, and proper maintenance of a pool to clear up a pool. She absolutely had no power as both servicemen tried the breaker box. The breaker box was full of wasp nests, mouse nests, and wires hanging out, which is unsafe. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure that their breaker box is not up to code. I have pictures to support this claim. As far as coming back, an opening does not include coming back multiple times. Our job was done, as everything was hooked up. When she called to say it wasn't getting clear, Dan called and went over to check the filter and found that the filter plates were cracked and couldn't build up pressure. He explained to her that she needed a new filter as it's about 30 years old and it wouldn't be wise to repair such an old filter. She needed a new one.Upon telling her that she needed a new one, she said no and insisted on repairing it. When Dan did the repair and returned the following day to install the filter assembly, the tank started leaking as it had pressure that it did not have prior to fixing the plates. This was the reason Dan had warned her that repairing instead of replacing may be a bad option. Also, the pump was sucking air, which Dan had determined was the fault of underground PVC lines being broke.Dan left the pump run the first day to make an attempt to begin clearing the pool. On Monday morning, Dan stopped by to check the pump (at no charge) and discovered the pump had lost its prime as a result of sucking air from the broken lines. At this point, Dan had called and told her that she needed lines replaced entirely or bypassed and he would come fix this but there would be a charge of time and materials to do so. She agreed. He came and pressure tested her lines and bypassed her line with a temporary line. Now with a new line, the pump is drawing like crazy - success! Instead of upwards of $10,000 to dig up concrete and change lines, it cost $150 for a temporary fix that would allow her to have strong flow without the loss of pump prime. Now her water was filtering and beginning to clear up, and she was thrilled! All she wanted was to swim in clear water and we gave her that. She said that she did not have the $150 top pay at the moment, so Dan told her to come in the store to pay when she got the money. Now her mother says her house looks like a ghetto, so all of a sudden she is unhappy with the fix. A couple days later, [redacted] came into the store with her mother to scream at me.As for her mother being a petite little senior, all I have to say is that Pit bulls are little too, but it doesn't mean that they don't bite. I couldn't hear [redacted] talk for her mother butting in and unnecessarily screaming as loud as she could, so I asked her to let me hear [redacted] talk. This ordeal has absolutely nothing to do with her mother, and [redacted] told me (verbatim):"I only brought my mother to yell at you because I'm too nice and let things happen to me too much!"Instead of being thankful for the work we did and saving her thousands of dollars, allowing her to swim as she asked, she thinks she shouldn't have to pay and decided to complain so she won't have to. She even went as far as to lie and say that Dan never told her there would be a charge. I told her I was there when he called her and told her, to which she replied that she did know that he was going to charge her, but not for $150. Then, I told her that Dan called me and told me that he had just given her a price of $150 and that she would be in there to pay. She admitted to that too.As for the claim of two $90 charges to pick up and take the filter, repair and return the next day, there was only one $90 charge. If she thinks that there were two charges, then she still owes for a second $90 charge. Would you expect two men to work three hours on Friday and seven hours on Saturday and not charge you? If anything, a total of ten hours for two employees working and we only charged $90 plus the cost of parts - that's actually incredibly cheap, and exceeded the cost of what we paid the employees. We did this for her as a favor to someone who wanted a cheap fix and were working with her as best as we could to satisfy a customer. As for the claim that there was no itemized bill, we did in fact hand her an itemized bill. The status of your filter never went downhill because it was never uphill in the first place. It's a 30 year old plastic filter. Things break from old age. That's 30 seasons of taking connecting, disconnecting, and running water under pressure in a plastic tank. Things WILL break over time. There is no such product that will last for an eternity. We did not sell it to her, nor could we have as we have only been in business for 17 years.[redacted] was very unappreciative. I told her Dan spent a lot of time fixing her very aging pool and that Dan was still recovering from Open Heart Surgery and you would think someone would be thankful for all of the work he did. I think she is a very unhappy person as she cried on the phone as she did last year, which is why Dan tried so hard to satisfy her - he felt bad for the woman.I do believe her mother needs to loosen her grip and let [redacted] alone. As for unraveling, she definitely was the unraveled ones, and yes - surveillance cameras do show how her mother unraveled and lost control, which started the whole "ordeal" she is referring to.Her e-mail handle is dramafordiva, and it appears she just wants attention. Who is she to say I was angry? I was stunned to have someone come into my store and attack me as they did. She said she didn't care if I was sick, as I had been in and out of the hospital multiple times in the past week. Not nice!My son was here and witnessed all of the irrational behavior and agrees, entirely, as a third party in the dispute, that their behavior was irrational and ridiculous. He tried to calm the situation down and tried to talk to [redacted] after I left, where she tried to explain her side to him. He was as caring as could be but she truly believed when she walked out that she was the one who was slighted and that she was completely innocent and free of any responsibility for the argument that she brought her mother in to start. We at M[redacted] Pools do our best to make everybody happy, but sometimes you get someone that's so unhappy that nothing you do could make them happy. Unfortunately, we will issue NO REFUND as [redacted] was told about every charge in advance and approved of all work done before it being done. [redacted], you got everything promised and more. We sincerely wish you happiness.Attached are pictures of the breaker box, and unsafe wiring for the pool pump that was not done by us and the itemized bills.
