Moods Image Photography & Video of Pittsburgh Reviews (6)

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below A list of grievances is listed below for ease of understanding and convenience As stated on page of on the contract; camera coverage was to be provided Two camera coverage was not provided As stated on page of on the contract; coverage was to start at home/hotel Coverage starting at the home/hotel was not provided As stated on page of on the contract; wireless lapel microphone for ceremony No microphone was provided at all As stated on page of on the contract; AVI files will be given on a jump drive AVI files were not provided nor was an opportunity given to provide a USB to receive the AVI files All of the above points were again confirmed with the “welcome package” sent by Moods Image as seen on pages through in the attached MoodsImageContract.pdf Per the attached MoodsImageQuestionaire.pdf which was sent to and confirmed receipt by Moods Image on 4/12/at 10:AM; Coverage was to begin at 12:PM on Friday 5/6/at the Double Tree – [redacted] *** Coverage did not in fact start until approximately 3:PM This once again reiterates the material breach of Moods Image contractual obligation to cover events “to start at home/hotel” As stated by Moods Image by telephone on 5/6/at exactly 2:41PM, when called upon the Grooms arrival to the [redacted] and being notified Moods Image was not ever at the Double Tree, Moods Image stated “We had you guys as cancelled” This in fact shows this was negligence on behalf of Moods Image and was an entirely avoidable scenario This can be confirmed by all Groomsmen as Moods Image was on speaker phone during this call, affidavits can be provided upon request Documentation of the time of the call made to Moods Image can be provided by cell phone recordso To further verify Moods Image was given a plethora of touch points to confirm our date and that we gave them all data required to fulfil their contractual obligations see the below: o Moods Image was given the final payment of $on 11/12/ Documented proof available by invoice provided by Moods Image via US Postal Serviceo Moods Image was provided full event details on 4/12/10:AM by e-mail with reply to confirm receipt Documented proof available by e-mail recordso Moods Image was provided full directions to the [redacted] on 4/8/12:PM Documented proof available by e-mail recordso Moods image was contacts at 4/7/12:53PM and again approximately a week before the wedding by [redacted] via phone to verify event details and ensure no further information was required to ensure a successful day Documented proof available by cell phone recordso The above bullet points stand as documented proof that Moods Image not only breached contract but that this was not caused by a circumstance that was “out of their control” thus voiding any and all refund protection clauses noted in the contract Issues regarding Quality o Once again contesting the statement made in the business response “Our professional videographer who has been in business for over forty years, reviewed your wedding video and says it is a beautiful video, and shows all the important parts of your special day, as well as is not grainy like you claim it to be” We have showed our photographer the video provided by Moods Image Her exact statement follows, and this is now in the mail as a signed affidavit which we will have available within the next few days: “Moods Image under no circumstances has my permission to use any of my professional photography due to what I consider to be unprofessional coverage, poor editing, and lacking video quality My photographs are in no way permitted to be associated with or provided to Moods Image for any purposes.” o Moods Image states in their response that the video quality is “not grainy” To contest this, we have put the highlight video side-by-side with video taken from a wedding guest on an iPhone It is clear that the cell phone video is much clearer and this can be made as a statement of fact The video is grainy and the blatant lies and defamation of my character by Moods Image in their business response will not be toleratedo Moods Image states that the video provided “shows all the important parts of your special day” This is patently and arguably two of the most important events were not captured adequately by any professional measure The first of these is when the Bride was walking down the aisle Moods Image panned to a groomsman and then back to the bride, completely missing the groom’s reaction to seeing the bride for the first time ***Let me repeat that, Moods Image panned from the bride to a groomsman and back to the bride while she was being escorted down the aisle, never once showing the grooms reaction during that period of time[redacted] The second occurrence of this is during the bride and groom exchanging vows Moods Image was showing the wedding guests instead of the bride and groom This is documented by Moods Image themselves in the provided video The lost moments here cannot be rectified due to grievance #as Moods Image did not provide camera coverage and thus these issues cannot be resolvedo Moods Image states that the delivered video is “a beautiful video” is purely opinion, however, everyone that has seen the highlight video to date has been appalled by the editing and the fact that the tops of everyone’s heads are cut off, the video quality is lacking, and the audio is muffled That being the case, it is not “a beautiful video” and further threats from Moods Image using accusations like in their reply with “to the libel comments you have made, that we have documented”, will result in full disclosure and public release of samples of video provided by Moods Image along with our reviews to enforce our claims were not lies but an accurate accounting of events and results Any legal action brought by Moods Image would be an egregious mistake on their part as instead of just having a bad review this entire situation will be made as statement of the court Sound quality was muffled during the ceremony This is due to grievance #3, no wireless lapel microphone or any other microphone was provided for the ceremony Moods Image claims that they were ignored many times in their response, but in fact we have cell phone records that we can prove every call received from Moods Image was returned or answered in a timely manner We also have documented proof of reply to every e-mail or question they had sent Rather than admitting the truth that Moods Image was in fact the one who was ignoring us, they have lied, which can be proven To make themselves look less abysmal they decided instead of reconciliation they would rather falsely accuse us of wrong doing Once again, this will not be tolerated any further Due to Moods Image negligence, Moods Image had offered using our photographer’s images in place of their pre-ceremony coverage as a video slide show Moods Image was notified in writing and by phone that images would not be available for 4-months from the date of our wedding Instead of waiting, Moods Image edited the footage and sent it certified mail Due to us waiting for images from our photographer we did not send the audio files that were to be used as background music, and as such the video does not meet advertised obligations that are documented in writing by e-mailo It is also important to note due to the lack of professional quality our photographer declines to allow Moods Image permission to use her photographs This was documented in detail above Moods Image has lied in their Revdex.com response which has now been proven They have broken their contract on multiple fronts which has now been provenThey have falsely accused me of libel in my Facebook review, which I have verified all my statements in that review and have proof, affidavits, and evidence to back up every single one of my statements They have wasted days of my time digging through past correspondence, contracts, and phone records I tried to resolve this issue directly with Moods Image, but after asking for a refund was promptly avoided, hung up on, lied to, and threatened which has been recorded as proof in their Revdex.com response***In summary, Moods Image negligent handling of our wedding video coverage and numerous material breaches of contract leaves us our only option of requesting a full refund Further resistance and defamation of our character will force us to abandon our civil Revdex.com negotiation and pursue legal action for a full refund as well as damages due to Moods Image documented and proven material breaches of contract, which is not protected against or limited in the contract If we have not made ourselves perfectly clear, we have a plethora of evidence and will not hesitate to use it if necessary in a legal action brought by us or in our defense in a legal action brought by Moods Image Any response that is not an apology with a full refund will be rejected Any further threats or lies will result in further legal escalation.***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Moods image has once again completely failed to address the grievances listed in our response In addition to their complete failure to address the breaches of contract, they also attempted to discredit our photographer's photo quality with absolutely no facts or evidence to base their statement off of This has been a trend by Moods Image, trying to blame everyone else for problems they caused We in fact could not have been happier with our photographer, many of our wedding guests have ordered multiple prints from her coverage of our wedding This poor attempt to pass blame shows the woefully inadequate caliber of business and unethical business practices that Moods Image practices Finally, we provided times, dates, and the contract all of which were completely ignored, we provide proof and facts, yet Moods Image just points fingers and provides absolutely no proof in their own defense We provided facts, they just tried to pass the blame and downplay the severity of their breaches of contract and the resulting issues they caused To set the record straight on a few issues: * The only thing I said that was vulgar prior to Moods Image hanging up on me was "What the ***, how can you justify even saying that" which was in response to Moods Image saying us getting a refund "That is never going to happen".* In regards to "many calls shutting them down for a day", I called exactly times over the course of minutes Once again cell phone records do not lie They are a business and I was a paying customer who had not received what I was contractually owed, it was Moods Image responsibility to settle this civilly instead of it resorting to the Revdex.com and failing this resolution ending up in court.* In regards to us not responding to Moods Image E-mail and cell phone records do not lie In court they are welcome to perjure themselves and the judge will be happy to supply jail time once they are proven wrong by factual hard evidence by way of e-mail receipts, e-mail replies, and cell phone records.* Their statement of getting ready was minutes of coverage Right, this is why that coverage was to start a full hours before the ceremony Yet again another lie.* Their statement of camera coverage being only for transit to the ceremony Another lie not supported by the contract, this was to be on a standing tripod for the ceremony which was discussed by the Moods Image employee that went over the contract with us.* Their statement that we were to contact them a week or two before the ceremonyOnce again, they apparently failed to even read our grievance, as we DID call them a week prior! In summary, Moods Image has not resolved anything In fact Moods Image has lied in their responses, made claims that are not supported by fact and actually contradict things we provided with supporting documentation Moods Image has failed contractually, failed in owning their mistakes and making it right, and failed in addressing even a single concern point listed as our grievances to any factual or reasonable measurement

Moods Image Photography Sept29,ID ***In regards to their complaints of the wedding, it understood that the wedding was canceled, either by a clerical error or omission of communication between the clients and Moods ImageThey are instructed to call the studio one to two weeks before the ceremony to confirm times. As for the coverage of the pre ceremony, this coverage is approxminutes of getting dressedThat's all the second camera is for to go to the location. From there we then would go to the ceremony location, it was fortunate that we were at the studio and the camera and batteries were chargedWhen we received the call we then went to the ceremony location and were there twenty minutes before the start. The ceremony was in fact done and as well as the reception and looking at the edited footage at the studio there was no grain as the client said, if in fact they should check their playback machine.During the day the complete ceremony was covered in its entiretyThere was nothing left out of the video. As for the photographs, the clients were called several times from our editor and no response was received until they received the DVDWe never got a call on when the images would be sent to the studioAs he states times and dates he called, well, we can attest by our staff he never called about the videoAfter so many times to call we were forced to send the DVD without the photo beginning.I suggest that you in fact view the video for the quality. There was as I noted a miscommunication in the start time and the location of the pre ceremony and we did as much as we could to make the situation better by using photographs and music overlay to enhance the video. When he did call him then stated that he just received his photographs on Sept15, and we were to hold on to the video then for editing, but in his letter to you he said the oppositeSo, in fact from May till Septto receive his photographs, his photographer said that she would not give him images to recreate the start, that tells me that the photos may be of lessor quality. His video was completed within two weeks after the wedding date and that's when we started making the calls. In closing his abusive language to me was not tolerated and I ceased communication after repeating the F word I don't know how many times, so hence he contacted you, I was willing to have him come into the studio and discuss the matter, but after I hung up he called the studio and interrupted our business for forty five minutes. At that time due to the fact the phone was ringing, we had to silence the ringers and were not to receive calls coming into the studio. There could have been a satisfactory ending to this concern, but it was he that kept calling me a **, to that end, no one that seems to have a concern should act as he did. Also, in closing his response to seek legal counsel, if this is his way of an end to this we will in fact do the same.Thank you tor your concern, Moods Image

SEPTEMBER 16, 2016[redacted] and [redacted]Dear [redacted] and [redacted],This letter is to address the concerns of our contracted, business relationship, since we were not able to communicate with you civilly and professionally over the telephone.Our...

professional videographer who has been in business for over forty years, reviewed your wedding video and says it is a beautiful video, and shows all the important parts of your special day, as well as is not grainy like you claim it to be. Because your reviews/posts were extremely untruthful and harassing, we ask that you remove them from Facebook. We will be forced to continue this relationship on none other than a legal basis and hold you to the libel comments you have made, that we have documented. We do, in fact, understand that the beginning of the wedding was a little pressed for timing, and we send our apologies for that. Due to what had happened that day, we discussed with you that we would be willing to involve your photography stills into your video! It would have made the video even more detailed than it already is, but we had not heard back from you, after repeatedly contacting you to retrieve the stills. There is nothing we want more than a happy customer, and we were doing everything to service you, but we were ignored many times.Again, this letter is to settle your concerns, not to throw gasoline on the fire. We are willing to overlook the profanity and vulgarity of your last phone call, because we handle things in a professional manner, here at Moods Image. The continuous, harassing phone calls forced our business to shut down that day, and we were very unhappy about that. Please do not harass us; we would like to welcome you into our studio, sit down, and watch the video with us. From there, we will make changes that you feel need made, insert stills, etc. until you are happy with your wedding video.Sincerely,MOODS IMAGE

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
A list of grievances is listed below for ease of understanding and convenience. 1.       As stated on page 7 of 8 on the contract; 2 camera coverage was to be provided.  Two camera coverage was not provided 2.       As stated on page 7 of 8 on the contract; coverage was to start at home/hotel.  Coverage starting at the home/hotel was not provided. 3.       As stated on page 7 of 8 on the contract; wireless lapel microphone for ceremony.  No microphone was provided at all. 4.       As stated on page 7 of 8 on the contract; AVI files will be given on a jump drive.  AVI files were not provided nor was an opportunity given to provide a USB to receive the AVI files. 5.       All of the above points were again confirmed with the “welcome package” sent by Moods Image as seen on pages 9 through 11 in the attached MoodsImageContract.pdf 6.       Per the attached MoodsImageQuestionaire.pdf which was sent to and confirmed receipt by Moods Image on 4/12/2016 at 10:02 AM; Coverage was to begin at 12:30 PM on Friday 5/6/2016 at the Double Tree – [redacted].  Coverage did not in fact start until approximately 3:25 PM.  This once again reiterates the material breach of Moods Image contractual obligation to cover events “to start at home/hotel”. 7.       As stated by Moods Image by telephone on 5/6/2016 at exactly 2:41PM, when called upon the Grooms arrival to the [redacted] and being notified Moods Image was not ever at the Double Tree, Moods Image stated “We had you guys as cancelled”.  This in fact shows this was negligence on behalf of Moods Image and was an entirely avoidable scenario.  This can be confirmed by all 4 Groomsmen as Moods Image was on speaker phone during this call, affidavits can be provided upon request.  Documentation of the time of the call made to Moods Image can be provided by cell phone records. o   To further verify Moods Image was given a plethora of touch points to confirm our date and that we gave them all data required to fulfil their Moods Image was provided full event details on 4/12/2016 10:02 AM by e-mail with reply to confirm receipt.  Documented proof available by e-mail records. o   Moods Image was provided full directions to the [redacted] on 4/8/2016 12:15 PM.  Documented proof available by e-mail records. o   Moods image was contacts at 4/7/2016 12:53PM and again approximately a week before the wedding by [redacted] documented proof that Moods Image not only breached contract but that this was not caused by a circumstance that was “out of their control” thus voiding any and all refund protection clauses noted in photographs.  This was documented in detail above.   Moods Image has lied in their Revdex.com response which has now been proven.  They have broken their contract on multiple fronts which has now been proven. They have falsely accused me of libel in my Facebook review, which I have verified all my statements in that review and have proof, affidavits, and evidence to back up every single one of my statements.  They have wasted days of my time digging through past correspondence, contracts, and phone records.  I tried to resolve this issue directly with Moods Image, but after asking for a refund was promptly avoided, hung up on, lied to, and threatened which has been recorded as proof in their Revdex.com response. Review: Moods Image was under contract to provide our wedding day video coverage. They were to arrive at the [redacted] Doubletree at 11:30AM. From there they were to cover the girls getting ready, and getting their hair styled for the day. At 2:00PM they were to arrive at the [redacted] to cover the wedding ceremony and the first 2 hours of the reception. This coverage was to include a Moods Image video specialist and a free standing video camera. Additionally the groom was to have a wireless mic on him to ensure clear audio quality. Following the day we were to have an appointment to review the video and assist in the edits prior to the editing get process being completed as well as we were able to provide custom music to be played in the video. The deliverable here was to be a DVD of the Ceremony and Reception as well as a DVD of the highlights from the day. Finally the DVD footage was also to be supplied on a USB drive. This was all in the contract and discussed at length. That being covered we move to the actual complaint.

Moods Image, after being paid in full and verified they had the details the week prior to our wedding, had altered their schedule and has us listed as cancelled. It was not until one of the bridesmaids told the groom, me, they were not at the Doubletree that I had called. This was at approximately 2:45 PM. Our ceremony was to start at 3:30 and I was being told that we were listed in their system as cancelled. At this point the situation was handed to our wedding coordinator. Moods Image finally arrived at 3:25 after the groomsmen were already down the isle and the groom was not given a mic. There was also no free standing video camera to ensure complete coverage.

Then we move to their suggested corrective actions. They had suggested using the photographers coverage, we informed Moods Image that we would not have the photographs until mid to late September and that we would be in contact after that. Forward to early September they sent us the wedding videos without our review, per the contract, without our songs we selected, per the contract, and the overall quality was NOT what was demonstrated to us during the sales process. The highlight video was edited in such a way the tops of everyone's heads were cropped off and the video was grainy and low quality and the audio was distant and low quality. The video of the wedding ceremony was not much better, everything was washed out and the video quality was grainy and poor. The audio quality was equally poor largely due to no mic being provided.

Then to the actual coverage itself. While the bride was walking down the Isle Moods Image has video of the audience. The brief period they covered the bride they panned over to a groomsman, NOT showing the grooms reaction at all. During the vows they also showed the audience for the first half of the vows. Reception video suffers fromy the same problems stated with the other videos. When we tried to address these issues with them our calls were ignored for a week (5 business days). When we finally got someone to answer we requested a refund, after being treated like we were the ones in the wrong. We were told "That isn't going to happen" and hung up on. Upon attempting to call back, I was leaving a voicemail and announced I was recording it as proof they received notification of our dissatisfaction, they answer and immediately hung up. They have repeatedly done this and we were left with no recourse but this.

In summary, multiple breaches of their contractual obligations, false advertising showing a much higher quality product than what was provided. We are seeking a full refund.Desired Settlement: A refund in full as this day cannot be recaptured. Their complete lack of professional diligence has cost us a quality video cataloging of a day that only occurs once.

Response:

Documentation of the time of the call made to Moods Image can be provided by cell phone records. o To further verify Moods Image was given a plethora of touch points to confirm our date and that we gave them all data required to fulfil their contractual obligations see the below: o Moods Image was given the final payment of $495 on 11/12/2015. Documented proof available by invoice provided by Moods Image via US Postal Service. o Moods Image was provided full event details on 4/12/2016 10:02 AM by e-mail with reply to confirm receipt. Documented proof available by e-mail records. o Moods Image was provided full directions to the [redacted] on 4/8/2016 12:15 PM. Documented proof available by e-mail records. o Moods image was contacts at 4/7/2016 12:53PM and again approximately a week before the wedding by [redacted] via phone to verify event details and ensure no further information was required to ensure a successful day. Documented proof available by cell phone records. o The above bullet points stand as documented proof that Moods Image not only breached contract but that this was not caused by a circumstance that was “out of their control” thus voiding any and all refund protection clauses noted in the contract. 8. Issues regarding Quality o Once again contesting the statement made in the business response “Our professional videographer who has been in business for over forty years, reviewed your wedding video and says it is a beautiful video, and shows all the important parts of your special day, as well as is not grainy like you claim it to be”. We have showed our photographer the video provided by Moods Image. Her exact statement follows, and this is now in the mail as a signed affidavit which we will have available within the next few days: “Moods Image under no circumstances has my permission to use any of my professional photography due to what I consider to be unprofessional coverage, poor editing, and lacking video quality. My photographs are in no way permitted to be associated with or provided to Moods Image for any purposes.” o Moods Image states in their response that the video quality is “not grainy”. To contest this, we have put the highlight video side-by-side with video taken from a wedding guest on an iPhone 6. It is clear that the cell phone video is much clearer and this can be made as a statement of fact. The video is grainy and the blatant lies and defamation of my character by Moods Image in their business response will not be tolerated. o Moods Image states that the video provided “shows all the important parts of your special day”. This is patently false and arguably two of the most important events were not captured adequately by any professional measure. The first of these is when the Bride was walking down the aisle Moods Image panned to a groomsman and then back to the bride, completely missing the groom’s reaction to seeing the bride for the first time. [redacted]Let me repeat that, Moods Image panned from the bride to a groomsman and back to the bride while she was being escorted down the aisle, never once showing the grooms reaction during that period of time.[redacted] The second occurrence of this is during the bride and groom exchanging vows Moods Image was showing the wedding guests instead of the bride and groom. This is documented by Moods Image themselves in the provided video. The lost moments here cannot be rectified due to grievance #1 as Moods Image did not provide 2 camera coverage and thus these issues cannot be resolved. o Moods Image states that the delivered video is “a beautiful video” is purely opinion, however, everyone that has seen the highlight video to date has been appalled by the editing and the fact that the tops of everyone’s heads are cut off, the video quality is lacking, and the audio is muffled. That being the case, it is not “a beautiful video” and further threats from Moods Image using false accusations like in their reply with “to the libel comments you have made, that we have documented”, will result in full disclosure and public release of samples of video provided by Moods Image along with our reviews to enforce our claims were not lies but an accurate accounting of events and results. Any legal action brought by Moods Image would be an egregious mistake on their part as instead of just having a bad review this entire situation will be made as statement of the court. 9. Sound quality was muffled during the ceremony. This is due to grievance #3, no wireless lapel microphone or any other microphone was provided for the ceremony. 10. Moods Image claims that they were ignored many times in their response, but in fact we have cell phone records that we can prove every call received from Moods Image was returned or answered in a timely manner. We also have documented proof of reply to every e-mail or question they had sent. Rather than admitting the truth that Moods Image was in fact the one who was ignoring us, they have lied, which can be proven. To make themselves look less abysmal they decided instead of reconciliation they would rather falsely accuse us of wrong doing. Once again, this will not be tolerated any further. 11. Due to Moods Image negligence, Moods Image had offered using our photographer’s images in place of their pre-ceremony coverage as a video slide show. Moods Image was notified in writing and by phone that images would not be available for 4-6 months from the date of our wedding. Instead of waiting, Moods Image edited the footage and sent it certified mail. Due to us waiting for images from our photographer we did not send the audio files that were to be used as background music, and as such the video does not meet advertised obligations that are documented in writing by e-mail. o It is also important to note due to the lack of professional quality our photographer declines to allow Moods Image permission to use her photographs. [redacted]In summary, Moods Image negligent handling of our wedding video coverage and numerous material breaches of contract leaves us our only option of requesting a full refund. Further resistance and defamation of our character will force us to abandon our civil Revdex.com negotiation and pursue legal action for a full refund as well as damages due to Moods Image documented and proven material breaches of contract, which is not protected against or limited in the contract. If we have not made ourselves perfectly clear, we have a plethora of evidence and will not hesitate to use it if necessary in a legal action brought by us or in our defense in a legal action brought by Moods Image. Any response that is not an apology with a full refund will be rejected. Any further threats or lies will result in further legal escalation.[redacted]

Response:

Moods Image Photography Sept. 29,2016 ID [redacted]In regards to their complaints of the wedding, it understood that the wedding was canceled, either by a clerical error or omission of communication between the clients and Moods Image. They are instructed to call the studio one to two weeks before the ceremony to confirm times. As for the coverage of the pre ceremony, this coverage is approx... 15 minutes of getting dressed. That's all the second camera is for to go to the location. From there we then would go to the ceremony location, it was fortunate that we were at the studio and the camera and batteries were charged. When we received the call we then went to the ceremony location and were there twenty minutes before the start. The ceremony was in fact done and as well as the reception and looking at the edited footage at the studio there was no grain as the client said, if in fact they should check their playback machine.During the day the complete ceremony was covered in its entirety. There was nothing left out of the video. As for the photographs, the clients were called several times from our editor and no response was received until they received the DVD. We never got a call on when the images would be sent to the studio. As he states times and dates he called, well, we can attest by our staff he never called about the video. After so many times to call we were forced to send the DVD without the photo beginning.I suggest that you in fact view the video for the quality. There was as I noted a miscommunication in the start time and the location of the pre ceremony and we did as much as we could to make the situation better by using photographs and music overlay to enhance the video. When he did call him then stated that he just received his photographs on Sept. 15, and we were to hold on to the video then for editing, but in his letter to you he said the opposite. So, in fact from May till Sept. to receive his photographs, his photographer said that she would not give him images to recreate the start, that tells me that the photos may be of lessor quality.
