Review: My fiancé picked out her dream wedding gown July 2014 for our wedding Feb 2015. She paid for the entire dress upfront via check, after store owner, [redacted], required her to pay via check. She received a call on December 4th from a lady regarding her dress. The lady informed my fiancé that the bridal shop she purchased her dress from, The Bridal Store, went out of business. The $975 that she had paid for the dress did not go to the manufacturing company, Moonlight Bridal Design. The lady went onto say that the dress was there, but needed $530 to get the dress, which I paid. After checking in with the bridal store, under a new owner/company name, they haven't had a chance to reach Moonlight. On 12/8, I went back to the bridal store to get an update. She called Moonlight while I was there. Moonlight wanted to talk to me. [redacted], the lady from Moonlight, gave me her number and wanted me to call her. I called [redacted] back and she advised me she wanted me to fax her the contract and invoice from the dress order. I immediately faxed it to her and awaited her call as she said she wants to get this resolved as soon as possible. After not hearing her for many hours, I called her. She informed me that I would need to pay the $975 the original bridal store was charging us. I was thrown off guard by this. [redacted] went on by saying they have to collect the retail cost. I pushed back on this. They are a manufacturing company. They come up with a cost and a retailer adds to that cost to make their profit. I asked her what the cost is to their company to make the dress. I would be happy to pay this extra amount. [redacted] said she can go down to $750 plush shipping. I got upset and hung up. My fiancé and I are victims. We paid $975 for a dress and Moonlight is not willing to work with us. They are trying to recoup some of the other losses from this same criminal. This is my fiancés dream dress. Please work with us to pay for the cost of the dress.Desired Settlement: I would like Moonlight to understand we are victims and find it in their heart to work with us to pay them for what they have into this dress. We are already out $975 that we will never see again.
What number did you call to reach moonlight bridal because all he lady at the boutique is giving me is an email address. They state they cannot give me a direct number to call but my dress is defected and my wedding is in 8 days. At the boutique she states there is nothing she can do about the defect but I will not receive a refund and I will basically be forced to take the dress. Moonlight has not responded to the email and at this point I am totally distraught and don't know where to go from here. I will never order from either party again if this issue cannot be resolved. Come on now..this is one of the BIGGEST days of my life. They wouldn't want anything defected for themselves or anyone they cared about for that matter. This is ridiculous!
