Review: I took my car into Moon Light Mechanic for a oil leak and other things problems, 3 months later the leak still exists and not only that it is worse. I informed the owner that the car still had the oil leak and she did not want to honer the warranty and fix the problem. We paid a lot of money to have this problem fixed and not to have it done right is not fair to myself.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund or a partial refund to take my car to a mechanic that can fix my car properly. I think that would be the right thing to do.

Dear Revdex.com,In reviewing the Invoice dated

03.05.2014, Mr. [redacted] received 5 separate diagnoses and services at

no charge, and a free Oil Filter, which in total equals about $207.50

before tax. He also received a $30.00 discount on his Invoice. All of

this is clearly depicted in the attached documents.Mr. [redacted] received from this shop a free

paint job (at the body shop of his choice) on the front portion of

his vehicle, after accusing this shop of cracking the paint on the

Front Air Dam. Said paint job cost this shop $220.00. After said paint job was completed, he called claiming

another portion of his vehicle was damaged by this shop and should

also be painted on our dime. I refused further paint jobs.Mr. [redacted] was verbally abusive to the

manager and the owner. Mr. [redacted] placed defaming remarks on

customer review websites regarding this shop and its owner. The manager received multiple harassing calls and text messages and told him more than once to stop calling her personal phone. Mr. [redacted] sent the

owner text messages (that have been saved for legal purposes)

defaming her personal character, and with reference to Jesus

Christ sending her to Hell.We attempted to work with Mr. [redacted]

for several weeks after our services were completed. Now that six

months and an unknown number of miles have passed, Mr. [redacted] is

claiming the Vehicle is leaking Oil again. This shop will not

accommodate requests for refunds of any monies.Respectfully,

I am rejecting this response because:

Regards,

The statements that were said are false, I would like her to send all these false statements that I made to me so I can read them for myself. And we told her right away about the oil leak and she refused to look at it period.

The first I was informed of an Oil leak problem was approximately 3-4 weeks ago when the Customer sent his wife in to the Shop, claiming there was an Oil leak. I told her I would think about working on said Vehicle. I called her back that night and told her the Shop would not work on any Vehicle belonging to her family, due to her husband's abusive behavior toward my staff and me. This Shop does not condone abuse, nor will I subject my employees to more abuse.

Respectfully,

Review: On June 11, 2015 I left my vehicle with this facility for spark plug replacement, front brake replacement and a leak in front end. On June 12, I received a phone call stating that my car had been inspected and that the repairs could be accomplished and that the leak was a bad water pump. I was quoted $1081 for all repairs and verbally agreed. On June 16, I received a phone call stating that my vehicle as almost complete and that they were waiting on the thermostat housing and thermostat to arrive as they had ordered the wrong part. I was also informed that my bill was now $2000. On June 17 I went to the facility and requested my vehicle. The owner stated that she was not expecting me and that my vehicle had not been test driven. I requested that my vehicle be finished and returned to me that day. The owner instructed a mechanic to retrive my vehicle and bring it to full operating temperature. The mechanic left the office, went into the bay, started my car, drove it to the front parking lot, shut it off and returned to the office. The owner asked if it if was at full operating temperature and he said no, but that another mechanic told him it was ok. I was then presented with the bill which I questioned as to why it was $1000 over the quoted price. No answer was given. I paid the bill, and left. On June 21, I drove from Paso Robles to San Luis Obispo (30 miles). Upon arrival I found coolant boiling in the reservoir and water pushing out from under the radiator cap. No caution or warning lights had illuminated indicating an overheating problem. I left the vehicle for 1 hour and on return found no indication of problems. I returned to Paso Robles. On June 22 I returned the vehicle and explained the situation. On June 23 I was told that my engine was blown. When questioned the owner called me an ae and hung up on me twice. June 23 I went in person and was told the damage was my fault for driving it. On June 25, the vehicle was moved to another repair facility and the problem was correctedDesired Settlement: I would like for an investigation to determine if price gouging has occured.Secondly, I would like a minimum of $258.67 to be refunded to me. $95 re-inspection fee to determine why the cooling system failed after being repaired at this facility. $4.00 hazardous waste fee $25.00 overnight storage fee to leave the vehicle with the reported blown engine overnight before a tow company could pick up. $49.76 for rental car due to loss of use of my own, and $85 for the alternate repair facility.

Response:

An extensive brake job was quoted to D[redacted] for $500. D[redacted] approved an additional $95 to diagnose a water leak. He later approved approximately $1000 for further work regarding said water leak. Each time he approved additional work with an additional cost has been captured with time, date, method of communication, to whom he spoke, and regarding details of parts and prices during said conversations, as per BAR Law. Phone records will corroborate these records, and we are happy to share these records with him and the Revdex.com, at any time.
