Moore & Gonzalez Real Estate Group Reviews (2)

Review: [redacted] charged us $120.00 dollars for a background check in order to help me and my husband find an apartment. On two occasions he made viewing appointments in which he never attended. His office was in [redacted], yet he only traveled once to the [redacted] to meet with us so he could collect his fee. I gave him my application and personal documentations, a week before Thanksgiving. He came by train, claiming his car was stolen days prior to our meeting time.He got into our car and proceeded to talk with us while he reviewed our paperwork. (completed application, copies of our s.s. cards, credit check, license, etc.). He then had us drive to what we thought was a viewing, but then he told us he would show it to us the next day. We then drove him to the train station. Within a few minutes he called me to tell me that my check did not go through. I wondered where he had gone to cash it. He must have gone to a check cashing place, since it was well past 7pm.He said he would deposit it the following day. He called me the following day to confirm receipt of payment. The week prior to Thanksgiving he made us wait and did not show up at two different viewings. He said he was caught up in traffic (because he rented a car) one day, and the following day he was stuck on the train. When he finally go to the [redacted], I offered to pick him up and he told me to just go home that he would go around the [redacted] looking for realtors in search of apartment rentals. My husband and I sensed [redacted] could not be trusted. We contacted him and asked if we could get our paper work back and proof of our background check he claimed to have conducted. Or return our $120.00. He was highly offended and then claimed he mailed it out to me. That was on Decmeber [redacted]. I tried several times to e-mail him and phone him. His business phone does not work and he disconnected his cell phone. He finally contacted me on the [redacted] of December, to confirm that he had mailed it out. It is now December [redacted], and there is no package!Desired Settlement: I would like my personal documentation, and for my money, in the amount of $120.00, to be refunded to me as soon as possible. Please help me! [redacted] came highly recommended. However, after this act, [redacted]'s authenticity and profesioonalism should be questioned. My husband and I would like to settle this issue with [redacted]. We want justice to prevail. We hope you can help us...PLEASE!

[Your Answer Here]

[redacted] contacted me via email on January [redacted], 2014. approimately a month since he vlaimed he mailed me the documents I requested. [redacted] claimed in his mesage that he sent the documents and did not understand why I had not received the package. He refused to refund me my $120.00, claiming that he had in fact conducted the background checks for me and my husband. He said he would look into the delay. I responded to his e-mail requesting that he return my documents along with proof that he did in fact conduct my background check along with my husband's. It is now the [redacted] day of January, and I have yet to receive a returned response.

Please help! I am beside myself with grief over this issue. I appreciate and thank you in advance for the support you have given me thus far. I will forward you a personal e-mail address I came across when he contacted me from it.

Hopefully, you will be able to succeed in contacting him from there.

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Moore & Gonzalez Real Estate Group, LLC regarding complaint ID [redacted].

Sincerely,

Review: [redacted] has provided poor service as a realtor. He asked for a deposit to be sent to secure a studio at [redacted] but the apartment was not granted to us. When my family arrived to the city on May [redacted] 2014 he agreed to meet with me to give me the $1250 deposit back but he did not meet with us. When we rescheduled for the next day he was 4 hours late and he did not have the deposit. On June [redacted] 2014 we were set to meet at 1pm and he has not arrived. [redacted] has also been incredibly hard to contact. Working with him from Arkansas was very difficult because he did not return my calls very often and he did not keep us informed about the process of getting our place. He has not worked hard to find us a place that suits our needs and has very little understanding of our need for him to stay in contact and to give us our money back. While I am not convinced yet that he is scamming us, his actions have been similar to rental scams.Desired Settlement: My primary concern is for [redacted] to return our $1250 dollars we sent him via a check that he cashed on May [redacted] 2014. I also believe that John Moore's realty license should be reevaluated.
