As was the case with my Volvo Smy wife's Volvo XChas electrical issues In both situations the concerns were brought to the attention of Valentine's service dep't while the vehicles were under warranty The result from each visit was a patch work of attempted fixes and trickle charging the battery to help bring it back to life so they could send us on their way Now the XCis out of warranty and we're left with an unreliable vehicle with a disconnected satellite radio because it's "apparently" the issue The battery drain issues are well documented online with lawsuits pending with Volvo so they're very aware of the issues Valentines denial of the issues and inability to fix the problem has lead to several trips to their service dept' over the
years along with a lot of shoulder shrugging and their assurance they're doing their best? The real kicker was the last time my wife brought her "again dead" XCin for them to basically recharge/replace the battery was that they told her there was some other part that needed to be fixed under the pretense she was approving a repair that would fix the batter drain issue Over $later (because not it's not under warranty) they send her on her way and the car is dead in the garage two days later So they tell her it's going to cost $800+ to fix, with no symptoms of any issues except the battery being dead She tells them to go ahead because she has it in their shop for the battery drain! Nothing else They replace a part that's not causing the problem, charge us a lot of money and when I ask about it not having fixed the battery drain the only response I get is " Well if it didn't need to be fixed they wouldn't have replaced it"? There were no symptoms of issues and we only approved it being replaced under the misguided representation that it would actually fix the battery drain which it did not in the least! They don't care, the won't offer a refund and they have been dishonest about the actual issues all along Off to the media soon I guess
