Review: They describe themselves as a bed and breakfast. You have to pay for breakfast and when we made the reservations they did not even ask us if we wanted to purchase breakfast nor did they when we checked in. We arrived at 9pm on a Sunday and got up and were expecting breakfast. Again they did not ask so I called them later and they said you could of had it for $12 a person. We did not even buy cream for our coffee in our room thinking it was going to be provided for. For $159 a night and we were there for only 12 hrs, we should of gotten breakfast.They also make you pay cash and do not freely give out a receipt. I had to have one mailed to me.Desired Settlement: We would like a full refund as we feel this is false advertising. We would not of spent the money just for that short of time.

In regards to this complaint, Moose Ridge is a Bed and Breakfast, and we also have cabins rentals. In the main lodge we offer the Moose Ridge room with private bath, for a price of $95.00 plus tax and a continental breakfast is included. These guests can also request a full breakfast for an additional cost of $12.00 per person. Which is stated on our website. We also have two separate cabins that are separate from the main lodge and each have there own kitchens, bedroom, bath and living space, and outdoor patio. Each priced at $125.00 per night plus tax, and does not include breakfast .However they may purchase breakfast for an additional $12.00 per person again as stated on our website.

When taking a booking we ask the customer at that time if they would like to have breakfast. I can honestly say I do not recall my conversation with this customer; however the norm is we do ask. I did have noted on the booking receipt a note that the customer had stayed with us two years ago in our Anglers cabin. That receipt shows that the customer paid for their breakfasts along with their nightly cabin rental. I have enclosed a copy of their last stay dated August 5th 2011 and they were aware of the breakfast charges were additional and they paid their bill. They didn’t seem to care then because they booked another stay at Moose Ridge 2 years later.

I received an email from this guest stating that they were not satisfied, not receiving breakfast, and requested a receipt. I then copied their receipt from this stay as well as their last stay two years ago, in which they did purchase breakfast for an additional $10.00 per person, that invoice was total at $153.75. I have enclosed a copy of the note I sent apologizing for the misunderstand and offered them a complimentary breakfast on their next stay.

We do not accept credit cards, however check or cash is accepted and receipt is given upon request.

I can honestly say this was my first complaint since we opened in 2006,1 truly think this was a miss communication. We sincerely regret any hard feelings.
