Initial Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2014/10/06) */
Received business response via email;
The shipper was given the valuation options prior to her move and she chose the cents per pound option which means that she would be reimbursed based on the weight of the itemI explained
this to her when she called and she started to become abusive with her commentsShe never actually filed a claim after our conversation so I am not sure what she expectsBy law all she is entitled to is the offer of cents per pound if she would like to be civil and contact our office!

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/10/23) */
the check has been cut and is in this weeks mail, she should receive the check by next week. We apologize for the delay as there were issues with her address when we sent the resolution letter (our issues, not hers)

Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2014/10/27) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

The last communication with the customer was to get the make and model of their toolbox so as to calculate a settlement.  I have yet to receive the requested information.

I contacted Moovers Inc over 1month in advance to plan my move from Alabama to Arizona. I was moving to start a new job at the beginning of July 2016 and was flying out on 6/30. My moving dates were set for 6/27-6/28. 1 week before, I emailed and confirmed the move date to be on 6/28. However, the morning of 6/27, Moovers called me and told me my move was cancelled because another move took up too much space and they cannot accommodate me. They said they will call back later in the day to see if they can do anything else. I called several other moving companies, but they cannot move on such short notice. A few days has past and still no call back from Moovers. This company has no accountability. Do not trust this company.

We emailed a written quote to Ms. Mary [redacted] to the email that she provided ([redacted]).  It clearly gives her two options for Valuation Coverage.  She received two quotes by email - one on 06/22/15 and one on 06/24/15.   I have attached the last quote with the Valuation Coverage choice information.  If she had asked for more details regarding the coverage, we have a flyer that we can send out.  Most customers elect the minimum valuation coverage, and we do not try to up sale.  We have a 1.2% claims rate here at Moovers.  That fact is highly promoted.

I mailed a check to Ms. [redacted] for $150 today.  As I understand, she and our general manager agreed to this amount to settle her issues.

Moovers has made no attempt to contact me in order to get the make and model of the tool box.  They actually claimed...

they had no responsibility in damaging the tool box as they claimed it was a manufacturing defect claiming the doors flew open and that is why the movers lost control.  I was lied to by the movers as they told me they "dented" the tool box.  When a tool box is completely shifted off its axis the drawers all of varying levels after the damage, that is not considered a dent.  This company and the movers who moved us committed negligence and should be held to making this situation whole.  I have been offered nothing to date for over $1600 in damages.  I have not had a table to eat at since December 20th, because the glass was completely shattered.  This company is stalling and attempting to make no settlement offer forcing me to go to small claims court. I was upcharged for items that were never moved.  Movers counted all of the contents in my home and upcharged me for those items, but failed to move any of the items they collected additional monies for.  I had to pay my own employees to finish our move, because Moovers failed to finish the job.  I was not even given an apology for the damage to my property.  My quote specifically stated an insurance limit of $4,859.67.  I have never had any property damaged after 12 previous moves.  My second glass top table which they were contracted to move, but did not has never been crated and moved to Arizona, California, and back to Missouri without even a chip.  This company lacks integrity and does not stand by its promises.  A judge would be happy to make an example of them.  They did not move my gas grill, they added 60 additional boxes that were not moved.  They documented they moved our bike, but did not.  I have jumped through numerous hoops to date and sent pictures.  If I did $1600 damage to someone's property I would personally view the damage and attempt to figure out what went wrong.  They have done nothing of the sort, but deny responsibility.  They have not been the least bit responsive nor cordial despite such horrendous service.
Regards,
[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:The check I revived was for $84.00. It does not cover the complete damage to all the property that was damaged. They check also did not account for the discount that was suppose to be applied because of having to reschedule my move.

Ms. [redacted] was given the information to file an official claim for her complaints.  We received her filed complaint late yesterday.  We will need to investigate and process her claim.  Her issues are being addressed.  Thank you.
