We hiried Bob with Mor-Air in May 2013, he set the day he would be here to install my air unit and showed up two days later getting here, then we had to keep calling him to finish it. Then about a month later the AC stoped working, we called Bob several times to get him to come out and fix it and never answered the phone or returned calls, then not long after that a return pipe fell that they installed and we called and once again no answer and no returned phone call. Bob told us that when we was ready to install the heating to call and he would come out and hook it up, well we called and when I called him back on September 25, 2013 he cused me, told me to never call again, that he was not coming out to fix it and he hopes I have to pay someone high money to fix this. I called a guy who told me around $75 to fix the problem. Also Bob quoated me $8,600.00 and charged me $8,900 because "he forgot somethings".

Response:

Mor-Air Heating A/C & Refrigeration installed a Air-conditioning system at Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] home at [redacted], In April of 2013. This system was Air-conditioning only. Mr. [redacted] indicated that he would install a wood stove (hisself) for heat later in the year. The A/C system was quoted at $8,900.00 due upon completion. The A/C system was installed in a timely manner. The day of completion Mr. [redacted] indicated that he would not be able to pay in full because his wife lost her job. The payment was discussed and Mr. [redacted] would make payments on his remaining balance of $900.00. No payments were received for the month of May 2013. June 24th a payment of $75.00 was received. No payment made again until, August 22nd of $40.00. We have tried to contact Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] several times over the passing months to arrange a payment plan. We received a letter in the mail asking for a breaker that they said we owed them. After several unsuccessful attempts to contact Mr. and Mrs. [redacted], a letter was sent asking them to please call to discuss this matter and their outstanding balance. On September 2nd, Mr. [redacted] contacted our office in regards to the letter. He stated he planned to pay us in full when he receives his taxes in January. He also stated his A/C was not working properly, and that a return pipe fell in a closet. I assured him that I would send someone out to take a look at it.( A service technician was sent out on the agreed day and time and no one was home. Mr. [redacted] was not billed for the trip.) He was then asked to agree to a monthly payment plan based on what he thought he could afford. An agreement was made on $50.00 per month on the 15th of each month. Mr. [redacted] received his breaker via UPS the following week. No payments have been received since the payment arrangement was agreed upon. On September 24th Mr. [redacted] called our office and said that he had his woodstove installed and needed it “hooked up” to his thermostat. We politely informed Mr. [redacted] that there would be a fee for our service. We also informed him that since he had an outstanding balance of $797.37, we would need payment for the new service upfront. We also reminded him of our previous scheduled trip to his home when no one was home. Mr. [redacted] feels that he should not have to pay for the new service because we installed the thermostat in his home. We informed him and Mrs. [redacted] of a local company in their area that may be affordable and asked that they have them do the service since we could not agree on payment. We would like to add on our behalf that Mr. [redacted] referred us to his mother after his install and we installed an A/C system in her home as well. We have received no complaints otherwise. In closing we would like to add that at Mor-Air Heating A/C & Refrigeration, we always strive to give our customers outstanding and professional service. Our goal is to always leave our customers satisfied with our work, fair prices and outstanding customer service.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.First id like to say that Mor-Air installed the A/c unit and Water pack for the heat..not just the ac. Also as far as the quoat, it was 8,600 until they got her and he forgot to add things in. And he was also informed before that the $600 would have to be made in payments due to my not having a job and only having one income. He agreed to payments. No payment was made in May because we had no adress to send payment to. Also they said there would be a monthy statement sent and we didnt recieve that in july so we didnt send money until I made sure that the one payment was taken off. As far as trying to contact us on payment, nobody called. I have caller ID so I would know, not only that but once again I was out of a job so I was home all day. We told them that we would pay in full when we get our taxes back. Also in regards to the service tech coming out, when my husband spoke to mor-air they stated to him that they would have someone stop in the next time they was out this way but they was unsure when that would be. But then again I was also told I never called them by Mor-air. Also when I called about the woodstove I was rudly informed that I had an outstanding balance of $900, not the 797.37 that I owe and that they was not coming unil that was paid in full. I called a local company around here to come look and see about the heat, very nice company I may add. and come to find out that when Mor-Air installed the thermostat he installed it wrong, and that he also installed the batteries and had it hooked up to electic and it fried the thremostat, they replaced it and also cost me $127.20 to have that done. and that was the only thing wrong with the heat. Thanks to that great company, my heat is working. Every time we called Mor-Air there was either no answer or they would say they would call back and never did. Very misleading company.Regards,[redacted]
