I’ve read the complaint from this person and here’s our explanation.Indeed Mr*** contacted us because of this issue in his back yard***, the inspector, went by the property and after reviewing the first report he noticed that, at the time of the inspection, there was no evidence of loose
compactness or any other irregularity that might raise a red flagAfter discussing this with Mr***, he told *** that the previous owner did mention that he did the work himself with no license nor supervision from a contractor or any other experienced/licensed professionalWith this said, *** said that unfortunately there was nothing he could do about it because, first of all, this should’ve been disclosed at the time of the inspection by the homeowner and/or him so it could’ve been stated in the reportAnd second, the complaint would’ve been overdueThis should’ve been something that Mr*** had to try and fix it with the former sellerAt first he understood but he then got more aggressiveHe threaten to sue us and said that he was not going to do anything against the previous owner*** went to his house several times as a courtesy to explain what he could do about it but he wouldn’t listenHe demanded our policy number so he could file a claimWe gave him our insurance contact information so that they could take care of itHe did and they told him that is was not the inspector’s fault or responsibility, that it was not a negligent issueHe got very upset and contacted a lawyer who told him the same thingHe has continued asking for this information which we cannot discloseOnly our lawyers canThis was explained to him by our lawyer, our insurance company and his real estate agent but he just does not seem to accept or let it goWe understand his concern and the problem but, he had important information that he withheld and we cannot do anything about it. Please let me know if you need any further information. Regards,*** ***

Review: [redacted] Morales completed a home inspection for our property located on [redacted] in early 2014. Approximately 1 month ago we discovered an issue with a our pool sidewalk that wraps around our pool. A portion of approximatetly 8 feet long sank due to improper back fill and retention of the hill our house sits on top of. After hiring a contractor to help remedy the issue with the pool sidewalk it was noticed that the whole back side of our house that sits on this hill it sinking. Shortly after we noticed the back yard fence began to warp as the hill contines to loose compactness. This prompted us to go back to our home purchase documents and review if the imspector or seller may have made a reference to any potential disprepancies or modification to the hill that would have led to this issue. Nothing was found. It was then when we notified [redacted] of the issue and he proceeded to come by and take a look at the issue which we accepted. It was apparent by the reaction [redacted] transmitted that there was and obvious issue missed with the topography, and he realized that a reccomendation to a engineer or specialst would have been appropriate. Our back part of the house on the hill mentioned above apparently had been man made and lacked a retention wall to hold up the back fill. When compared to other neighboring back yard it is apparent that our slope was unique and should have raised question by [redacted]. It was at this point that I told [redacted] that I would need to gather his license information and insurance contact or company plus his policy # to file a claim againt his errors and ommissions insurance. He then stated that he did not have that information handy, and that he would provide to to me through his attorney. I agreed and he left the premise. It has now been over e weeks and I have not heard from his attorney or himself after 3+ attempts to try and collect tbis information. I would like to get the insurance information to file a claim.Desired Settlement: As mentioned above, I would simply like to know who Morales Home Inspection is insured with so that I can file my dispute for this oversight on his behalf. Furthermore, [redacted] claims his business is Revdex.com accredited and upon review of the Revdex.com site, his business did not register as an accredited company with Revdex.com. This said, I ask that this be corrected to avoid and additional misleading information to future clients.
