Moran Construction

I contracted with Moran Construction to repair my kitchen ceiling - gave [redacted] $300.00 deposit and he failed to come over and do the work. [redacted] said that he would replace the damage area in my kitchen ceiling and do two coats of white paint. His cost to do this was $500.00. I gave him $300.00 deposit to purchase materials. He continued to make promises that he was going to start the project, but never did. Now, [redacted] does not even return my phone calls.Desired SettlementSince [redacted] has not perfromed the work as agree to, I would like to have my $300.00 deposit returned right away.

On 7/26/13 Mr. [redacted] came out to my property to give an exterior painting estimate. On 8/1/13 I gave him a $300/deposit check, which he cashed the same day. The work was to start on 8/5/13. He did not show up or call that day. Since then I've called numerous times demanding the return of my deposit. Several times I was told the check was sent out. My last phone call to him was 8/31/13 and again told me he sent the check 8/30. Nothing has been received as of today.[redacted] belongs to the Carperter's Union as a drywall installer and mentioned he is in Rhode Island the times we spoke.Desired SettlementReturn of my $300/deposit
