Moran Towing

Review: On Friday 11/22 our equipment was towed by Morans towing. After the bill was paid ON TIME,they failed to drop off our equipment to our yard wich was less than a mile away.They were only to tow the Freight that was falling off the flatbed and my driver was to drive our equipment back to our yard. The tow company decided they wanted to tow everything. We paid them $3200.00 that they requested and they never delivered out stuff to us.

We had to go to there yard and pick up our stuff and they charged us an additional $500 for this. We think this is not right ..THEY DID NOT DO THEIR JOB.. They took all of our money when we should of not even been charged the $500.00

we paid to have our freight and equipment delivered to our yard and they never did. We had to go and pick up ourselves.Desired Settlement: we would like a refund of the $500.00 and the $250.00 for the delivery to our yard that was not done. we had to go and pick up our own stuff.

First let me begin by saying that the first time we received notice from the Revdex.com was the letter sent by you dated December 6, 2013, which was received on Friday, December 13. 2013. As you know, [redacted] from my office called you on December 13, 2013 to let you know this letter was our first received notification from the Revdex.com.

In reference to complaint [redacted] Logistics, on November 22, 2013: On November 22, 2013 Moran Towing received a call the New Jersey Turnpike Authority (Operations), asking us to respond to mile marker 102.9 Northbound on the outer roadway. Upon arriving on the scene it was discovered a freightliner tractor and flat bed trailer fully loaded with stacked miscellaneous building supplies became unsecured from the deck of the flat bed trailer causing the load to lean dangerously to the right side. Using a Moran supplied forklift and rotating crane the load was reloaded onto the trailer.

Excess product and freight that could not be reloaded on the deck was transferred to a Moran flat bed truck. After this job was completed I personally called [redacted] Logistics and spoke to a gentleman named [redacted], who identified himself as the Operations Manager. I faxed to him an itemized bill which included a $250. 00 charge for trucking the excess freight back to their terminal in Newark.

[redacted] agreed to pay by [redacted]-C[redacted], however our would need a confirmation number. He said OK. and that he would get right back to me. Our policy is that the bill must be paid before the truck or freight was released I explained this to [redacted]. He understood and had no problem at this time.

I waited on the shoulder of the New Jersey Turnpike for approximately one hour for the return call from [redacted]. I made several calls to [redacted]. No one answered. At this time Moran Towing was directed by the New Jersey Turnpike Authority and the New Jersey State Police to tow [redacted]s tractor and trailer back to Moran ’s Storage facility in Kearny, New Jersey.

Once back at Moran ’s facility the tractor and trailer was parked and the freight was unloaded from our truck. I then received a call from [redacted] at [redacted]. He now wanted to pay the first bill. I informed him of the additional charges which he paid. Both bills were itemized. Ms. [redacted] from [redacted] fails to mention in her narrative that [redacted] received a $295.00 discount which is marked on the bill. Any additional charges were incurred by [redacted]s actions.

In closing, Moran Towing does not decide what or who to tow. We are instructed and authorized Only by the New Jersey Turnpike. If you feel the need to discuss this further please call me at 2[redacted].
