Morco HVAC Inc.

Review: I would like to report an unfortunate incident I had with Morco, Inc. (aka Morco, HVAC, Inc.) in Bozeman, Montana. I had three heaters installed in my home in 2008 and used [redacted], a principal of Morco, Inc. to service the units each year thereafter. In October of 2013, [redacted] informed me that the upstairs furnace needed a new blower motor and that it would be covered under warranty. I paid $447.00 to Morco, Inc. ([redacted]) for replacement services. In December of 2013 [redacted] informed me that the downstairs heater needed a new blower motor, as well. He said that this unit may not be covered under the warranty, even though both units were installed at the same time. He said that he would check with his supplier to see if he could get it covered under warranty. [redacted] replaced the downstairs motor and serviced the heater. I paid $582.00. A few days after he left, the heater stopped heating. Winter in Montana. This was potentially a serious problem.I called [redacted] and he referred me to another HVAC contractor as [redacted] was too busy with other work. I called the other contractor only to find out that the heater was improperly installed. There was so much carbon built up in the furnace and that the ventilation system failed due to a improper B-Vent installed on the roof. Because it would take too many man hours to clean the carbon out of the heater, they recommended a new heater be installed. The new heater was installed and I was charged $3,800.00. Later, I arranged for [redacted] to see the old heater and the carbon buildup. He met with the two technicians who discovered the problem and recommended the heater be replaced. [redacted] informed me that it was not due to his improper installation, but due to low gas pressure coming into the furnace. I asked if he felt any obligation to contribute to the installation and he didnt. I asked if he was insured in the state of Montana as a business, and he said he would check and get back to me. At the time of filing, no contact.Desired Settlement: Since I have paid over $1,000.00 to Morco, Inc. and another $3,800.00 for a new furnace in the past two months, I would expect that Morco, Inc. refund my $1,000.00 and half of the cost of the new furnace.
