1/19/13 I ordered a bedroom suit to be delivered in 2-3 weeks 4 max verbal from sales person. Bill of sale shows approximately 4-5 weeks, this is stock item from manufacturer not a custom order.

At time of sale [redacted] (salesman) and woman behind desk could not get the bill right. They finally got it straight and I put ½ down in cash. Couple of hours later they called and said they still had it wrong and I would have to pay almost $175 more.

3 weeks after purchased called Morgan’s told all good with order and it should be in anytime.

2/18/13 - 5 weeks after purchase called woman [redacted]) said she would contact factory and call back in ½ hour. She never called back.

2/20/13 – Called again, spoke with [redacted] she would look into and call me back right away. Called her back hours later to be told it was on back order. She informed me I had no option. When I was not satisfied she told me she would speak with the manager, [redacted] at 1pm when she came in on 2/21/13 and call me. Of course no call received.

2/21/13 – 3pm Called and spoke with [redacted] ([redacted] had spoken with him the day before and he was informed of the problems) who was anything but helpful. He would email his contact next week as he was going away 2/22/13 and was not going to do it at this time. He then asked for my email and stated he would let me know if the delivery date could be moved up by email after 2/25/13. What a joke. Their lack of organization, customer service and communication is amazing.

Went into Morgan Furniture on 7/6/13 to get a couch and chair. Had a pleasant sales experience and found a couch and chair my husband and I both agreed upon. We put down $100 to secure the sale price and then put an additional $500 down 3 days later to get the items ordered. We were told that it would take approximately 4-6 weeks to have our items delivered.

Called about 6 weeks later since we had not yet heard from Morgan Furniture about our order. We were told that the items had just been shipped that day and it had been on back order (would have appreciated a phone call to inform us if this was the case). We weren't given an estimated delivery date.

Called 2 weeks later and we were told that the items had not been shipped. Spent 2 days going back and forth until we were told that the furniture had come in but was the wrong color (which I found strange since we were told there was only 1 color option). We were assured that the correct color had been shipped though and we would have it in 5-10 days.

Called 9/13/13 and expressed our displeasure with having not received furniture. We were told that we would have the items no later than Tuesday 9/17/13.

We got a message on Monday 9/16/13 that our furniture would be delivered the next day 9/17/13. We were told that we were #4 on the delivery list and we would get a phone call when they were heading toward us but we weren't given any estimated time (apparently you are supposed to just sit at home and wait for them to show up).

Delivery guys were polite and helpful. When the couch was brought in I expressed my concern over the darker color but after producing my copy of the receipt I was told that it was correct. After my husband came home he discovered that our order said a swivel chair when he had expressly told the salesman that we didn't want that.

Essentially we have furniture that we waited 11+ weeks for that was ordered incorrectly. It was our fault for not reading over the salesman's order to be sure that everything was correct but I didn't realize he was writing down an order for what we didn't want. After calling we were told "the couch only comes in 1 color" which was strange since their first excuse had been wrong color couch. We were basically told that it was our furniture and there would be nothing more they would do to correct anything (apparently once they have their money that's all they're good for). Morgan Furniture isn't willing to fix their own mistakes and because of this fiasco I will never recommend them nor will I be purchasing anything from them ever again!
