Please accept our apologies in the delayed response in reference to the complaint filed by [redacted]. Please allow for this to serve as [redacted] response as the accounts in question are now being serviced by this firm. [redacted] opened a [redacted] credit card in or around September...

21, 1999. Eventually the card’s minimum payments were not maintained and the account went into default. Our firm began collection efforts on this debt in October, 2008 and obtained default judgment on January 6th, 2010. Awarded in the Judgment was the sum of $4,761.51, with interest of 8% per annum from August 6, 2003 until the date of Judgment with 12% per annum thereafter until paid, plus court costs. The complainant claims that they were unaware of the debt at the time of Judgment. Morgan and Pottinger sent letters and served the complainant prior to Judgment. The reference to a bank garnishment in 2006 or 2007 is prior to our handling of this account. Since Judgment was awarded, there have been four successful bank garnishments, the last being in 2012. [redacted] has two open accounts in our office. On both accounts Judgment has been entered and said Judgment is well within statute. In her complaint, the amount of $15,000 is referred to as the sole balance of one account when in fact it is near the total owed on both open accounts. On each of these accounts we have spoken with the complainant as recently as February; at which time she advised she would review a settlement arrangement on one account, and begin payments on the other after said settlement. The complainant has made no attempt at contacting our firm since that exchange. It is our belief that our firm has been diligent in providing the complainant with information regarding the debts we are collecting. We encourage [redacted] to contact our office so we can discuss these matters further and help her resolve the accounts.  Our toll free number is ###-###-####.  Thanks [redacted]
