I lived at Broadway Commons for 1 year. While I was there, the nice lady below me constantly complained about me walking around late at night which lead to me requesting a break-lease early so. Everything went fine, and I hired a cleaning crew to go through the apartment so that I could get my full 900 dollar deposit back. They only decided to return 200 of my deposit.
This company is manages by two very rude females who take their job very personally, and who will go out of their way to inconvenience you if you annoy them-- for example, if your downstairs neighbor reports you for walking around late at night.
The entire time I was there, the experience was hell, and to find that I was only given 20% of my total deposit drives the knife home. Please do not do business with this company.

Everything seemed great when I moved in 5 years ago. Over time the owner ([redacted] and his office staff) became very difficult to deal with. Then in Dec. 2011 I slipped and fell on a poorly maintained,very icy, parking lot. My son fell as well, my best friend slipped, but caught herself and the onsite nanager admitted that she had slipped as well. No one else was injured, I, on the other hand broke my ankle in 3 places and required surgery (9 screws and a plate) to repair the break. This caused me to miss 14 weeks of work, which substantially decreased my income. I asked for a reduction in rent while out of work due to the injury. This was denied and [redacted] daughter had the nerve (while calling from the car wuth yelling childen in the background) to ask "don't you have family that can pay your rent" and "doesn't your ex pay child support". I made arrangements to make payments towards rent every 2 weeks AND paid the $50.00 a month penalty every month until rent was current. Rent was kept current from that point on (7 months) AND during this time I was inconvenienced by a broken water pipe in the attic area. I had fans for 3 days and mold was discovered. I was expected to pay the electric charges for the 3 days of 2 industrial fans running 24 hrs a day. Then, after [redacted] insurance paid all of my medical bills that were not covered by my insurance first, they informed me that they were not renewing my lease when the renewal period came up. Upon vacating the property, I replaced drip pans and light bulbs, hand washed 3 window blinds, cleaned the carpet, filled all nail holes and made sure the kitchen and bathroom were immaculate. Then 20 days after I moved out (they have 21 days to return my security deposit), I received a letter that due to excessive wear and tear (after 5 YEARS of myself and 2 kids) of the carpet and 2 attempts to "fix" it they were having the cleaners come in a 3rd time to try and avoid replacing the carpet. There was NO excessive wear and tear, just normal wear and few stains I was unable to get out completely. All of this "cleaning" has been at my expense. If they felt that it needed replacing, that should have been done 1st, not waste MY money on 3 cleanings! I am also being charged $63.06 to fix refrigerator dents that were there when I moved in. Also, $47.30 to "remove tub stain".. a small rust stain from the bottom of a shaving cream can...really $47.30? I am sure after this review, I will not be receiving any of my deposit back and fully expect them to send me a bill. I can only say STAY AWAY from Morgenson realty!!
