***Sorry to here about your problemMorici Bros concrete offers a year limited warrantyWisconsin has horrible wintersLots of freeze thaw cycles and saltI don't know any concrete contractor that offers a year warranty in Wisconsin. The MBC Team

Recently I have received a letter from the Revdex.com concerning my business.  The complaint was from June 22, 2016 with ID number [redacted]. I apologize it has taken over 7 business days for a response, but am certain we will be able to find a resolution to the complaint at this time. In the summer...

of 201 Additionally, below are suggestions on how to maintain your concrete.  Living in Wisconsin calls for many different factors that could negatively affect the cement, so here are some suggestions for ensuring your cement looks fantastic for many years to come. We ask that no salt ever be used on your concrete, but it is crucial that you do not use salt for the first 3 years. We cannot emphasize this point enough. Sand is very safe to use on your concrete surface, this is recommended, especially for the first year. We often see popping on driveways where people park their vehicles. On a sunny day during the winter months the salt on the vehicle(s) will drip off the vehicle, and salt, being highly corrosive, will eat into the surface of the new concrete. Salt overspray from the city/county plow trucks can also affect the concrete near the road. Another highly corrosive material is fertilizer, so if you happen to spill or overspray fertilizer onto your driveway, please wash it off immediately. With your help on these few items, you greatly increase the life of your Concrete for many years to come. Please contact us ###-###-#### or email [redacted] if the crack grows and fits the criteria for our warranty, and we will replace the cement as soon as possible. We are glad to hear you are mainly satisfied with your concrete and wish you the best. Sincerely,   [redacted] Morici Brothers Concrete [redacted]

Work began in April of 2007 and was finished in August of 2007.  Warranty was to be 10 years.

Review: We signed a contract for a concrete floor job Sept. 2014 and paid him $400. He started the job, left a huge mess and never returned to finish the job. I left many messages and email requests for him to complete the job or refund my deposit. He does not respond to calls or emails. I would like a refund.Desired Settlement: I would like my money refunded.

Review: In July of 2014 Morici Bros Concrete installed a concrete driveway and patio for a total of $29,850. Overall I am satisfied with the work; however, a large crack has developed in the driveway. I have made numerous attempts to contact the owner through email, phone, and a certified letter. The only response I received was to my initial email on 3/29/15. Below is a copy of the certified letter I sent to his business address which was never picked-up. Since this letter I have called and left messages on his cell phone (###-###-####) and his business phone (###-###-####) with no return phone calls.

Steve,

I am writing you to raise a concern about a large crack that has developed in our concrete drive that you installed in July of 2014. I sent you an email on 3/29/2015 regarding the crack, you replied on 3/30/2015 stating “I’ll check it out in the next few days.

I sent follow-up emails on 4/14/2015 & 5/3/2015 to which I did not receive any replies.

Our project cost a total of $29,580 and overall we are very satisfied with the work. However a large crack has developed across the entire driveway near the road. On the day of the pour you were short approximately 1 yard of concrete and you stated that you were using the “concrete stretcher” to make up the difference. This area where the concrete was spread thinner puddles water and now has the crack. I have looked at several driveways in the area that were poured in the past few years and no other driveway has a crack.

The crack starts in the center of the culvert on the north end of the drive and goes two-thirds of the way across the drive. An additional crack then goes across the remainder of the drive closer to the road. Both cracks are completely through the entire thickness of the driveway. It appears that a fairly large piece of concrete is about to pop from the driveway surface along on the cracks.

Please contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss resolution to this issue.Desired Settlement: Replace the section of driveway.

Review: In the summer of 2012 we hired Morici to put in a stamped concrete patio and gas firepit. The following Spring 2013, just 9 months after the patio was poured, it started to crack and crumble off in several areas. They did come back to look at it and put a “patch” on the crack and resealed the patio. The patch has since cracked and crumbled and looks worse than it did in the first place.

The patio is peeling, cracking and crumbling in numerous areas. We have contacted Morici at least 50 times since the installation. He did attempt to fix a portion of it which looks worse than ever. I have not heard back from him since 2014.Desired Settlement: We would like the patio re-done, meaning ripped up and re-installed.

Morici Bros Concrete did my patio last year, with a lighted retaining wall! I have had many parties and recieved many compliments. I would highly recommend them!

Review: My main complaints are that Morici Bros used an inferior grade of concrete materials, poured outdoor concrete on a rainy day resulting in permanent ugly defects in the final driveway product and now refuses to answer my phone calls for in-warranty repair service. I now have permanent discoloration marks and many pop-out scars on my highly visible concrete driveway. Morici Bros refuses to return my repeated phone calls or visit to offer advice as to what can be done to improve the looks and serviceability of their poor concrete work. The 3 year limited warranty is about to expire and my driveway looks as if it is 20+ years old. For reasons of poor workmanship and materials and lack of backing up their service warranty, I would not recommend using Morici Bros Concrete service to anyone.Desired Settlement: I would like some reputable company to replace or somehow repair he defective driveway concrete work so that it looks good and stays that way for the next 10 years.

I met with [redacted] in the spring and said we would fill in the small marks in his driveway and reseal it. We have been behind because of the weather. As far as bad concrete. We only use a 6 bag mix low chert with fiberglass. It a premium mix. We will gladly do what we said we will in 2 weeks. [redacted] has one of the nicest driveway's in the neighborhood.

Sincerely

Team MBC

Review: I contracted with [redacted] to remove and replace front stamped concrete. He was to match color and stamp as close as possible the concrete color and apply release color dusty mauve with an English stamp. He did the work but the color is coming off leaving spots of white all over the walk. Our old concrete colored walkway he did not replace is still fine. I called him and told him about the problem. He came out to look at the concrete and said he would fix it. He never came back. Numerous calls have been placed to ask when he would fix the problem. He does not return our calls.Desired Settlement: I would like the concrete recolored or replaced. Whatever it takes to fix the problem so the white concrete does not show through.

Have looked at the concrete. We ran out of time to recolor and seal. [redacted] is at the top of our list in April. It is too cold to reseal now. Our goal is 100 percent satisfied. Thanks the MBC Team.
