I purchased a couch from Hank's Fine Furniture in Springfield, MO I was told it would be available for me to pick up the following week I got a call from the salesman the following week telling be it would be an additional 3-weeks When I told him this was not acceptable, he said he would "see what he could do" and I never heard from him again After waiting four days, I went to the store and was told there was nothing they could do When I asked for a refund, I was told there would be a 25% "restocking fee." How on earth could they charge a restocking fee for a couch which was never in stock? When I made it clear I would do no such thing, the assistant manager became quite condescending He finally offered me the floor model, which was in excellent condition I have since done some internet research, and have found at least three other people who have had the SAME EXPERIENCE with Hank's Furniture They are told their couch is not available AFTER they buy it, and are then charged a 25% restocking fee for merchandise which was never in stock There are a dozen reputable furniture stores in the Springfield area I will never step foot into Hank's again
