Morning Star Salon Reviews (2)

I am rejecting this response because:
I would just like to respond and say that a lot of things
said in ***l’s response are not factualI understand a lot of this is just
he said/she said, however I did take screenshots to prove that most of the
things that she is claiming to be true, are in fact notShe was not going to
fix the colorAnd quite honestly, I would not want to go back to someone who I
felt I was a bother to so that is why I chose to go to a different stylist,
which is my prerogativeMaybe she didn’t realize the vibe she was putting off,
but I really felt like she was irritated when I asked her to wipe the bleach
off of the roots of my hairIn her statement she says all that she said was
“it wasn’t going to be a very strong color” but that isn’t all she saidShe
made me feel bad for even asking because she rolled her eyes before she did it,
made the comment and even added something along the lines of “if it bothers you
that much then I’ll do it”She should have just said “Yeah no problem”,
because the fact is that this is MY hair, and it doesn’t matter if the color
would’ve or wouldn’t have been strong because that is not what I asked her to
doI specifically said I wanted my roots to stay natural and the pictures I
showed to her did not have any colors starting at the roots at allThe
appointment that I made was for a balayageI know the difference between
regular highlights and a balayageDifferent techniqueDifferent look
When I first came in and showed her the pictures she made it
sound like it would be no problem to achieve that, and even when I expressed to
her that I didn’t want orange or brassy hair, she didn’t tell me that there was
a possibility that it would turn orangeShe says in her response that she told
me it wouldn’t look like the pictures I providedThat would be falseShe
didn’t say anything to me at allI hadn’t had anything done to my hair in over
months and I thought for sure I would leave happyShe didn’t put an all over
color on it like she claimsAt one point in the time that I went to her, she
fixed the ends of the hair that were previously coloredShe is the last person
to even touch my hair since the last time I came in, so if she used a box dye,
then how is that my fault? And for someone who thought my hair was extremely
damaged before, she kept telling me that my hair wasn’t in bad condition at all
that it wasn’t breaking offI got quite a bit trimmed off of my hair the time
before last that I was in and my hair has always grown out in a “V” shape and
pointed at the endsIt doesn’t mean it’s unhealthy, that’s just the way my
hair grows outLater on during the bleaching process, I even asked questions
about toners thinking that I would have a say in what toner I wanted and that
we could choose one together because stylists that I have gone to in the past
have always showed me a book with swatches of colors that could be achieved
depending on what toner was chosenShe told me that she was going to use one
that would really brighten my hair up so my hair wouldn’t be brassyTrust me when
I say that I know my hair would not be perfect, but orange? A couple of my friends who are licensed
stylists even said that a true stylist can work with anything and that if they
have any doubts they should let their customers know in the beginning if it’s
something that they can or can’t guarantee, and brassiness can be worked on
with tonersThis is something she did not do because if she had told me in the
beginning that my hair would most likely end up the way it did, I wouldn’t have
gone through with it that dayThere is no way that I would do it over again if
I would’ve known because it would’ve saved a lot of money and all of this
trouble that I’m currently dealing withWhether she believes that or not, it’s
trueWhen I left the salon my hair wasn’t styled so when I got home is when I
noticed all of the patchiness and saw my hair in different lightingI tipped
her because I have always been told that when you spend that amount of money,
you always should tip to be politeThat was a mistake on my part because
clearly it left the impression that I was happy when I wasn’tHowever I did
let her know as soon as I got to my mom’s house and styled my hairMaybe it
wasn’t right away because my mom lives out of town, so by the time I drive
there and style my hair, it’s easily been over an hour and a half.
I did leave two reviewsI left one that was on a link that
I clicked on through my e-mailThe receipt was e-mailed to me and there was an
option attached to it where I could leave a reviewSo I didI simply stated
how I feltI wasn’t rude in any wayI don’t typically leave reviews on
anything, but I wasn’t happy at all and I wanted to let them knowI wasn’t
aware that it was an app because I have never even heard of My *** beforeI
was under the impression that the review I left through my e-mail was just for
her viewing onlyThe second review I left was on the *** business pageI
basically said the same thingI have a screenshot of the review that I will
attachNot long after leaving the review, my phone started ringingI had
plugged in my phone to charge and I was in the other room getting ready and
figured I would deal with it laterThen it started ringing again so I asked my
mom to look and see who had calledShe said it was ***l, and I said I would
deal with it when I was finishedThen, my phone’s text message notification
went off, and it was her againI have a timeline of this with screenshotsShe
called Sunday afternoon at 3:12, again at 3:14, texted me at 3:17, and called
again at 3:I didn’t block her at allHad I blocked her, I wouldn’t have
received a “missed call” notification on my phoneSo while she is stating that
I’m blocking her and not responding, she didn’t give me much time to respond at
all, because the calls and text message happened within only minutes of each
otherIf I am in the middle of doing something, I don’t always drop what I’m
doing to answer every single one of my phone callsIt has nothing to do with
her personally, but I have a life and if I’m busy and see that I have a missed
call, I will return it later in the day when I have timeThe last time my
phone rang I asked my mom to pick it up since I was in the other room because
at that point it was clear she was going to keep calling until I picked upShe
put it on speaker phone and I came out to listen to what she was saying
***l’s tone wasn’t very pleasant at all, and honestly that’s the last thing I
wanted to deal with***l was upset and had an attitude and just to be clear,
the only person cutting anyone off was herMy mother has never been the type
of person to cut anyone off on the phoneShe works at a school, has for over
years, and knows proper phone etiquette and how to deal with people/parents
If she were cutting people off all of the time, I’m sure she would be getting
disciplined for her actions instead of praised all the time***l kept
raising her voice saying that I don’t understand hair and how color corrections
work, but I wasn’t even aware of anything pertaining to a color correction
because that was never mentioned to me when I went in for my appointmentMy
mom was very calm with her and kept telling her it was okay, and that we would
figure it out, and that I was making an appointment elsewhere when ***l
responded with “Whatever” and hung upSo while she is saying that I didn’t give
her the chance to fix it, why would anyone want to go back to someone that was
treating their customer that way? I know that I didn’t want to go back and let
someone work on my hair that had that kind of attitudeIf she had called and
said “I’m so sorry you’re unhappy, let me help you”, it would be one thing, but
the truth is that she wasn’t happy with the review I gave or the fact that I
had chosen to go to a different stylist to get the mistakes she made fixed
I did text her right after the phone call and just told her
that she needed to learn some customer service skills and professionalism
because the way she spoke to us on the phone and reacted was not very
professional in any wayThe only thing she is right about is that I did say
that if she wants to continue to be rude, I had no problem spreading the word
about her businessSlander is when you make statements about someone,
but nothing that I experienced was in any wayShe states that minutes
after the phone call a bad review popped up on her *** but again I have
pictures to prove that the review was written before the phone call because the
time stamp it has on itI wrote the review at 12:54pm, and she had called me
hours later after 3pmAnd only ONE of her client’s responded to my review,
which I responded back to because they had asked me a questionI started to
feel like I was being attacked by that client and by ***l by the comments
they had posted, and to be clear I never removed any postI had no reason to
remove it because I didn’t do anything wrongIf anything, I want to leave my
review and responses up to prove my innocence and let people see how she was
responding to me, because that alone speaks for itselfThis was not me
slandering her name on social mediaShe says I slandered her on different
social media sites, but I only use one social media site and that is ***
And keep in mind, her business has a *** page under Morning Star Salon and
Retail, and it has an option to leave a reviewI left a review, which I am
entitled to do and she didn’t like itIt’s not illegal to leave reviews, and
if she doesn’t want reviews then she should disable that optionYou kind of
have to take the good reviews with the bad, and unfortunately I had a bad
experienceThe reason I came here to the Revdex.com was not because of my hair color
at all, and I let her know thatIt’s simply because of the unprofessional and
rude manner in which she spoke to me and my mother, and how she kept posting
stuff on *** threatening to sue me and post my picture and profile on her
other media sitesIs this something that a true professional would do? If
anything, she is painting herself in a bad light and drawing more attention to
herself negativelyI have witnesses and pictures that can prove the things she
said to me onlineShe even posted another thing and said “Notice to people who
use box color on your hairI can never guarantee the results of your color
That is all***” and then she later edited the post, but I will attach
that pictureI texted her one more time after this and told her to please
leave me alone and that I was willing to call and retract this complaint because
I just want to be done with this alreadyI don’t want to feel attackedShe
clearly didn’t want to take me up on that offer because she re-posted my picture
and reviewShe says I took my review down and changed my name on *** but
that isn’t accurateMy *** is still very much under my name, and the
review is still thereI never deleted itThe only thing I did was blocked her
page from tagging my name and commenting on anything else because at this point
I feel like she is going out of her way to harass me instead of just dropping
it and moving on like any other rational adult would doI feel that I was
treated unfairly as a customerThat isn’t how you treat someone who comes to
your businessI have never been someone who complains to others about services
because I am a very private person and don’t like to badmouth anyoneBut
what’s right is right, and I felt that it was important that I shared my
experienceAs I said previously, I wasn’t planning on filing a complaint up
until I felt like I was being talked down to and attackedI gave her the
opportunity to just end all of this if she agreed to leave me alone and she
didn’t take that offerI’m just ready to move on with this and be done, that
is why I decided to take the higher road and stop responding to the comments
that she and her client postedIt’s just not worth it to keep going on with
thisIt’s one of those things where you cut your losses and move on
I have about different pictures to attachMost of them are screenshots so I had to put them on a few different pages so I could send them allI also added in the last text message so you can see that I asked her to leave me aloneThe rest are just pictures of my hairHi, my name is *** ***.The individual in charge of my case #*** is *** ***I wanted to add something to my desired outcome of this caseI do not care at this point about getting my money backHowever, I would just like to be done with thisIf I am contacted by this person again (***l ***), I will be contacting authority and getting an attorneyI will not continue to feel harassed by herShe told me she would stop all communication, and she hasn'tI don't know how to close one of these casesI will not be retracting the complaint I filed, but I honestly cannot be threatened by her anymoreIt is not in my best interestIf there is anything you can do, please let me know

I would just like to state that I've been doing hairprofessionally for 11 years. I work with the Cosmetology school anddo a variety of Classes teaching students color, hair care, braiding, extensions. I'm interning for [redacted] as an Ask Expert Educator.I also have an assistant...

[redacted] who is booth renting and workingunder me. I've had established Cliente for 9 years who if you wantnames I can give you any one of them could vouch for my service, dedication, professionalism and client care services. This is my first complaint to the Revdex.com, and I have to say there will be norefund for the service, I already refunded the tip amount in goodfaith. This client didn't like her hair, but I did the service thatwas requested, she paid me $95 and even tipped me $14. She was happy with her hair when she left the salon and then when shegot home she wasn't. And as for her "doing me a favour by comingto my salon" I have full cliente, I don't take walk in's and amby referral only, so she chose to come to me. I did the service as requested. I even offered to fix it for free at my firstopen time. She left a negative complaint on my [redacted] App before Icould fix what she didn't like.  I tried calling and gotblocked. I tried to leave a message, but it wouldn't go through. So,I thought maybe I'll send her a text so she knows this is importantto me. She didn't' respond. I tried calling a third time thinking it was my phone or I wasdialling a wrong number. This time I got through and I asked for[redacted], but she didn't' answer her mom did. Her mom said [redacted]was busy doing her hair getting ready for work and couldn't talk."I told her this was really important wouldn't take very long andneeded to talk to her because if someone leaves the feedback likewhat she did, I needed to make it right. I needed her to understandthat her hair was important to me and that I would do what ever tomake it right. Her mom refused to let me talk to her and started tosay I messed up her hair. I then tried to explain my end of the storyabout her hair and she kept cutting me off. So, I told her she needed to stop and listen to me.  I explained that lastyear she had put a color on her hair.  When you use box dye thatmakes what ever service I do a color correction. [redacted]'s hair wasvery damaged, so I was concerned about doing an extreme brown toblonde on her color that it wasn't going to happen in one session. Her mom then started to say I didn't know what I was doing, and Ithen again explained to her in detail the process of doing a balayagetechnique and that with the previous color on her hair I could onlyget her to this point right now. And I was willing to fix what shedidn't like to the best of my services.  Her mom then, canceledthe appointment to fix her hair.  There was nothing I could doat this point so, I just said "alight whatever" I hungup.  To me at that point, she was no longer a client. Then not minutes later a bad review showed up on my [redacted] page. So, Iblocked her feeling like this was slander and attacking.  Then[redacted] texted me saying she was going to "spread the wordabout me" and I replied with "you know there is a thingcalled slander" I decided to unblock her from [redacted] sopeople could see the response after she filed this complaint. After a few of my clients respond to the review she removed itand changed her name on [redacted], but still kept the 1 star review. Iwas going to post her response to their questions, but she removedthe post before I could screen shot it. I told [redacted] during the service that this was a progressivething that I can't just go from dark to light.  I was reallyconcerned about breakage, so I made the best judgement I could andchoose not to keep going with the lightening process.  I toldher to use [redacted] as a take home after care. It was $28 for it.She didn't purchase the product, which I was telling her that if wewere to continue to bleach out her hair she was going to need all thehelp she could get because of the damage. I told her, it will be thecolor it is now, lets wait a while and try the service again after amonth.  I can only do so much, to remove orange or brassy hair when the hair is extremely damaged. I tried toning thehair, it didn't change the color.   If I would have keptbleaching her hair that day, I can assure you it would have brokenoff. It was my goal to preserve the integrity of her hair.  Ialso explained to her that you can't at times achieve the desiredcolor in one shot. The comment I made when I removed thebleach was “it wasn't going to be a very strong color”, when youbalayage the hair it only penetrates the top layer of the hair, itwould have created a more blended sombre technique. The picture sheshowed me was a sombre where strands of hair are painted startingabout 2 inches from the scalp where I had placed the bleach. I wasonly doing what the client requested.  As for cussing, I'm noteven sure what she is talking about, I have [redacted] and the otherclient there at the salon as my witness.  If need I couldprovide a statement from them. Clients bring us pictures all the times of unrealistic thingsthey want done to their hair. Its our job to to try to achieve arealistic compromise.  I even told her it wouldn't look like thepictures she showed.  [redacted] had come to me, lastyear for highlights. She had over processed hair to begin with. Shethen colored her own hair at one point and after that I fixed it byputting an all over color on it.   This appointment sherequested either highlights or balayage. I explained the differencein the two techniques and what would be the best for her hair toachieve a sombre look. I did the balayage technique on her hair and because of theprevious color I informed her that this was a process to get to alighter color, that it wouldn't happen this time that it would takeseveral visits.  I also informed her that the ends of her hairwere breaking off and she was in need of a cut badly.  She saidshe was going to come back in a few weeks to do the cut. I triedshowing her the ends of her hair, and its extremely noticeable in thephotograph that I took when her back is fully toward me.  Iasked if I could get a picture and she said "yes, but don't getmy face because I'm not wearing makeup" In conclusion, I feel I don't owe [redacted] any money.  I didthe service that was requested and she was happy when she left andtipped me. I offered to fix what she didn't like about it and thenher Mom canceled the fix appointment. She didn't give me anopportunity to make it right. Then slandered my name on 2 media sitesthreatened to slander "spread the word" about my businessand now on here with the Revdex.com.
