the dodge dealer recurmend the the transmission be replaced. I am going to have it replaced .I will pay for it my self. All I get from aamco is excuecess . You would not believe the hard ship I have been through with these people. And they are asking my to take it to them again. After I replace my transmission I will hire an Attorney and file suet for my costed and expenses . And time off work. And for all the enconvenonce I have been through. I want my complaint to stand with the Revdex.com. They will be getting a letter from my attorney .about alli have been through at AAmco transmission.

I'm sending this letter in reference to your case # [redacted].  Mr. [redacted] droped for his vehicle for use t recheck, yesterday, Monday 01/11/16.  Upon inspection, we did find a minor leak at the transmission pan gasket which we immediately addressed. The "check engine" light was illuminated...

upon arrival (indicating trouble code(s) in computer storage. The three existing trouble codes pertain to the vehicle engine, none are transmission related.  During the past day and a half, we've road tested Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle three time. for a combined total of more than sixty miles. the transmission has performed flawlessly, showing no abnormalities whatsoever. Yesterday, when discussing the vehicle's history with Mr. [redacted], he mentioned the very intermittent nature of the problem (having occured only 3 or 4 times, and typically after driving for more than 90 minutes. It's simply not feasabile for us to test drive vehicles for such a lengthy duration. Due to previous inconvienience to Mr. [redacted], we have already extended the warranty period on his transmission, for the sake of customer goodwill. I would welcome Mr. [redacted] to return anytime, at his convienience, for the purpose of road testing, so that we both could verify the characteristics of his transmission's operation.Noting is more important to us than assuring Mr. [redacted]'s transmission ie operating properly. I'm confused about his assertion that he has to "take out a warranty", as a 12 month/12,000 miles warranty was automatically included with the original repair. No additional charges have ever been assessed for any warranty coverage. (In fact, as previously mentioned, we extended his warranty at no additional charge, for customer goodwill).  Lastly, as I know Mr. [redacted] is aware, a crucial component (the valve body/transmission control module) was on national back order for a period of more than 3 months during the repair process.  A call to the [redacted] parts department will confirm this. With regard to the issue of tow coverage, Mr. [redacted]'s paperwork clearly states that there is no provision for towing reimbursement.  However, again, we took care of the towing expense on one instance, as  a goodwill gesture.Assuming satisfactory road conditions tomorrow (snow covered and slippery today) I personally will take one more extended road test as a final evaluation.Sincerely,RonAAMCO Center Mgr.

I am rejecting because no offer was made. Talked to the business and they said they were not going to do anything to resolve this complaint .

I’m sending this letter to you regarding case ID# [redacted].  Our Customer,  Mr. M, brought his vehicle (2009 Dodge Ram 3500 4X4) into our shop on 12/02/16 due to transmission related problems. Mr. M’s vehicle is operated in a very harsh environment. He works in the oil and gas fields,...

driving the vehicle through fields and wooded areas. The truck even has a large winch mounted on the front bumper area, should the vehicle become stuck in the mud. Since we had previously worked on this transmission, although out of warranty on both time and miles, we extended to Mr. M a discount on this repair of $1482.64 in the interest of customer goodwill, charging a total of $2032.95 including tax.Approximately 3-4 weeks later, Mr. M called me to thank us for our diligence throughout the repair process and to also allow enough time to ensure that the transmission was performing properly, and he said it was performing flawlessly. However, a few days later, Mr. M called us, indicating he was having an intermittent issue preventing the transmission from shifting beyond 4th gear. However, Mr. M went on to say, that if he momentarily shut off the engine and then restarted it, the transmission would then perform properly, sometimes for days without a recurrence. That symptom confirms the existence of an electrical problem within the vehicle! After reading Mr. M’s response to you, I was puzzled to read of his contention that he was “broke down” in Terre Haute, Indiana. If so, I would have been notified by that center, granting authorization to perform warranty repairs. Today, I spoke with the center manager at the Terra Haute Shop and was told that no transmission problems were found during testing, He said they simply performed requested maintenance (changed fluid in the transfer case and changed lubricant in front and rear differentials with fluid supplied by Mr. M! Certainly not a “break down”! Again, not only was the “check engine” light not on, but there were no operational problems present when rechecked in Terre Haute and when rechecked at our shop shortly afterwards. For the sake of customer goodwill, we agreed to authorize another Columbus area AAMCO center to disassemble inspect and replace any internal transmission components that were even the least bit questionable. The rebuilder at that center is highly regarded and considered to be amongst the most capable in the entire state.Despite the additional warranty repairs that were performed, Mr. M still continued to call from thoughout various parts of the country describing the same electrical related symptoms. Considering all that has been done, combined with the same recurring symptoms, we strongly suspect the possibility of something outside of the transmission causing this problem. Now, as Mr. M’s has indicated, his vehicle is at an AAMCO center in Pittsburgh. Despite the huge amount of time and money we have invested in Mr. M’s vehicle, further repairs have been authorized by our center. A couple days ago, we offered to refund to Mr. M all of the money he spent with us on this most recent repair, which is nearly out of warranty. We offered to refund $1890.60 + tax ($2032.95)m but Mr. M. declined our offer, which like every other attempt to resolve this matter, was extended in good faith.Thank you,Ron H.AAMCO Transmissions
