Morrison Custom Concrete Reviews (2)

I spoke with [redacted] about his concern and as explained to him there are no guarantees against concrete cracking and small hairline cracks are to be expected. Out...

of courtesy and appreciation for the business we received from [redacted] I told him I would in fact come patch the small hairline crack. I did attempt to patch the crack a few weeks back and when I arrived there were other contractors working on the home inside while using the walkway to get in and out. I decided it'd be best to wait until another time to patch the crack and will do so sometime this week. I advised [redacted] of my attempt to patch the crack and advised I'd be out one day this week.
Thank you,
Mark M[redacted]

Review: I contacted Morrison Custom Concrete (MCC) for a estimate and agreed to have them do the workI hurt my foot, and requested the contract be cancelled prior to any work being started, [redacted] Morrison contacted me and informed me he was willing to do interest free payments for mod to cover the remainder of what was owed, (approx $1850) to which I agreedThe contract specified all tools and equipment would be furnished to complete the job, all the debris would be removed, and all areas would be backfilled with the excavated soilUpon completion of the job, the siding which MCC had removed was not reinstalled, including a portion of my neighbors siding (we live in a town home)I contacted MCC and they informed me it would all be taking care ofThey sent one of their workers out on a Saturday morning to reinstall the siding, and right before he left, he rang our door bell and informed us he cut the siding too short (leaving my neighbors portion bare) and said not to worry, he would be back to fix itI went out to inspect our siding and found the trim pieces were missing and it was not secured to the wallweeks elapsed, I contacted MCC again, and they said they haven't forgotten about it, their main priority is to get the concrete jobs completed, which I told them I understandI contacted them at least other times with basically the same conversation As of Friday, Sept 20, 2013, They came back and attached our siding to the wall, did not install new trim pieces, and fixed my neighbors portionI immediately called [redacted] and left a message telling him it is unacceptableI followed up again with [redacted] Morrison on Monday, Sept 23, and informed him I would like it fixed and he told me he would drop off the trim pieces but will not install themI told him his worker threw the old ones out, it was attached to our previous concrete stoop and I would like it how it was prior to his company performing any workHe said he will not do anything like that, and we began to argueI told him he was being unprofessional by giving me the oppurtunity to speak, to which his response was " I am not about to listen to you popping your [redacted] mouth off, especially when you still [redacted] owe me money." To Which responded that he did not live up to his end of the contract because the debris (left over concrete and a lot of excavated dirt) was dumped behind my house in the woods, everyday when I came home my electrical breaker that controls the outlet by the stoop was tripped, my hoses were left on, and one of my white hose was covered in gray concrete stainANd because of that, I will not pay the remainder (which was to be paid after the job was completed per the signed contract) until the debris is removed and all areas were backfilled properly (under the deck was not.) He told me something to the effect of, "That's fineI come rip all the [redacted] work we did up and give you all your [redacted] money back." I told him to go about it whichever way he feels is best for his company and we hung upI have since informed my neighbors to call the police if they see his guys ripping any of our concrete up, posted no trespassing signs, and called the police station to inform them of what is going on.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a $billing adjustment be made to reflect the charges I will have to incur to have the siding repaired to the state it was in prior to his work and to reflect the portion of the contract which was not held upI would accept completion of the job, but I feel threatened due to the tone of our last phone conversation and DO NOT want him on our property
