Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] [On Thursday, May 11th 2017, I was driving the truck home, the power steering belt fell off the truck making it hard to steerThe next morning my wife called [redacted] to see about having the truck fixed but they could not take the truck in until Monday Needing the truck for the weekend, my wife called Morse Mechanics and talked to [redacted] *** who said to bring it in that afternoon We brought it in and they told us that it needed a power steering belt and a pulley and it would cost about $Agreeing to the estimate, we authorized the work My wife asked [redacted] *** if he could also look the truck over to see what we may need to have done for an inspection sticker by the end of the month When we returned to pick up the truck later that afternoon, we paid the bill for the work done ($158.71) and [redacted] told us we would need a tie rod in the front and a new muffler for an inspection sticker (around $250)I have no idea where [redacted] *** came up with November; the very first time I did any business with him was May Why would I need a sticker in November if mine only ran out in May? I have attached a copy of our bank statement as proof of our first service paymentAs for going to Rangeley, we never went there in either, we did go camping at Lake Pemaquid Camping from July 1st to the 4th The times between the two visits were not months as [redacted] states, it was weeksSeven weeks in a truck that I have put less than miles a year on for the last three yearsI do have my last three registrations for proof if neededMy wife did tell [redacted] *** to fix the things needed for a sticker, I was standing right there, the muffler and tie rod were the only items [redacted] had informed us about, she also asked him to do an oil change and to call her with any added cost as soon as he had looked at the truck the next dayAs [redacted] stated cash is tight for us, so why would we tell [redacted] to fix anything he wanted to without so much as phone call [redacted] agreed to call in the morning with any added cost but the call never came[redacted] was right when we went to pick up the truck and for the first time and we found out that the dollar estimate had climbed to over dollarsWe were shocked and unable to cover the unauthorized repair cost of the dollarsWe told [redacted] that we would have to come back the next day to pick up the truckWe had to try and find another dollars to pay for the unauthorized work done on my truckThe next day we stopped in to talk to [redacted] about the added costI went into his office and asked [redacted] how we went from a dollar estimate to dollars without even a phone call [redacted] wouldn’t answer the question he just said he would eat the cost or take the parts off. When I told [redacted] that my wife had spoken to a lady on the phone twice about any changes to the estimate, [redacted] told me ”that was why she no longer worked here, she kept forgetting to give me the messages” [redacted] was implying that he had fired her, the lady answering the phoneI believe she is his live in girlfriend and lives in [redacted] s’s trailer right beside the shopIt was at this time that [redacted] said he could take the new breaks off, put my old breaks back on and that would bring my bill down $I agreed to this and confirmed the total cost of $dollars with that change onlyMy Breaks had been working fine when I brought the truck inWe did not agree to remove any other parts that he had installed [redacted] stated he took all the new parts off before I went to [redacted] If that is true why did he charge me for the parts? As for the work that [redacted] had to do before I could get a sticker and what the manager was told about [redacted] *** and his repairs is also not the truthThe new right rear seal [redacted] Morse installed was still on the rear shaft but it was leakingThe manager at [redacted] is the one holding the seal in the picture and told me it was a new seal but he would not be able to reuse it after changing the shaftThe brand new seal was leaking because the shaft it had been installed on was so badly scored that a new seal would not stop the leeks, this is what the service manager at [redacted] told me when he showed me the partsBoth the new seal and the shaft had to be replacedI also took a look at my new muffler and found a substandard welding jobLooks like the welder doing this job was having problems welding and just gave up leaving more than a half inch of muffler unwelded. So let’s recap I never met [redacted] *** until May of not November as [redacted] statesWe did not plan go to Rangeley as [redacted] StatedThe wife never said to fix anything needed he wanted to for a stickerMy wife did tell [redacted] *** to fix the things needed for a sticker, the muffler and tie rod, were the only items [redacted] had informed us about that we needed to be fixed for a stickerIt wasn’t months as [redacted] stated it was weeks [redacted] is also lying about a lady answering the phone for him [redacted] agreed to call in the morning with any added cost but no call never came [redacted] is also lying about what parts he removed from the truck [redacted] also states that all of my old parts were put back on the truck that is not trueI was charged for a seal kit, tie rods, bearings, muffler, brake pads and rear seal There are so many lies in [redacted] Morse’s statement, I am confident the fax I have provided will make that clear as day.] Regards, [redacted]

This family originally came in November for a sticker for there vehicle, was unable to pass it because they needed a tie rob and a mufflerThey didn't not have the money at the time so we did not fix or sticker the vehicleAt the end of June the wife called and said they were going to rangley and needed the vehicle fixed and stickeredWhen they came to drop of the vehicle the wife stated to me fix whatever needs to be fixed for a sticker we need the vehicleIn the months it took them to come back it now need rear breaks and it has a leaking axel sealI fixed everything needed to be fixed as the wife had stated toWhen they came to pick up their vehicle they hadn't planned on the bill being what it was and we agreed on removing the new parts and putting the old parts back inI also informed them I would need to remove the new sticker as well and they agreedThey paid and left seeming fine I would just like to add that in the complaint the wife says she called several times and spoke to a women well up into last week we didn't not have a women at the shop and I can prove that with payroll records so she did not call and speak to anyoneThe husband stated he brought it to another repair shop and the repairs were found to not be properly done, that's because all of his old parts were put back in but he failed to tell [redacted] this when they looked at itI don't know what this guys trying to pull but everything I did was on the up and up and his story is just a little fishy

The so called evidence he has really doesn't show anything, his wife continues to lie about her talking to a women and states I said I had to fire her but then in the next breath said she was my girlfriendI have not had a women working in the office in over yearsJust recently I've added a secretaryI don't know why they continue likingI fixed their vehicle like the wife said and tried to help them out when they figured out that couldn't afford to pay me and now I have to deal with them bashing my business on social media.im not in the wrong and know their making it all up

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted].
I do not know why [redacted] continues to think this case is about his girlfriend. This case is about me bringing my truck to a mechanic for a sticker that gave me an estimate of 250 dollars and when I went to pick the truck up he tried to charge me over 1,000 dollars. Neither I nor my wife was notified of the bill growing to over 400 percent of the original estimate without our authorization.[redacted] was aware that we were short on cash and were trying to get the truck repaired as cheaply as possible; he even states this fact in his response to this complaint. I don’t know why [redacted] thinks he can do 750 dollar’s in repairs without taking two minutes to call the people that have to pay the bill.I have provided evidence to back up my side of this story and [redacted] replies with we are lying for his evidence. [redacted] garage finished the repairs to my truck and can verify and back up my evidence, they also called to let us know what it would cost before the work was done so we could authorize the work.[redacted], I am not bashing your business, I am merely stating the facts. I would be happy to stop stating the facts [redacted], as soon as you give me back the $449 dollars you stole from me. Then I can put an end to this chapter of my life and stop stating the facts about Morse Mechanics.
Regards,
[redacted]

This family originally came in November for a sticker for there vehicle, was unable to pass it because they needed a tie rob and a muffler. They didn't not have the money at the time so we did not fix or sticker the vehicle. At the end of June the wife called and said they were going to rangley and...

needed the vehicle fixed and stickered. When they came to drop of the vehicle the wife stated to me fix whatever needs to be fixed for a sticker we need the vehicle. In the 7 months it took them to come back it now need rear breaks and it has a leaking axel seal. I fixed everything needed to be fixed as the wife had stated to. When they came to pick up their vehicle they hadn't planned on the bill being what it was and we agreed on removing the new parts and putting the old parts back in. I also informed them I would need to remove the new sticker as well and they agreed. They paid and left seeming fine.    I would just like to add that in the complaint the wife says she called several times and spoke to a women well up into last week we didn't not have a women at the shop and I can prove that with payroll records so she did not call and speak to anyone. The husband stated he brought it to another repair shop and the repairs were found to not be properly done, that's because all of his old parts were put back in but he failed to tell [redacted] this when they looked at it. I don't know what this guys trying to pull but everything I did was on the up and up and his story is just a little fishy.

[On Thursday, May 11th 2017, I was driving the truck home, the power steering belt fell off the truck making it hard to steer. The next morning my wife called [redacted] to see about having the truck fixed but they could not take the truck in until Monday.  Needing the truck for the weekend, my wife called Morse Mechanics and talked to [redacted] who said to bring it in that afternoon.  We brought it in and they told us that it needed a power steering belt and a pulley and it would cost about $160. Agreeing to the estimate, we authorized the work.  My wife asked [redacted] if he could also look the truck over to see what we may need to have done for an inspection sticker by the end of the month.  When we returned to pick up the truck later that afternoon, we paid the bill for the work done ($158.71) and [redacted] told us we would need a tie rod in the front and a new muffler for an inspection sticker (around $250). I have no idea where [redacted] came up with November; the very first time I did any business with him was May 2017. Why would I need a sticker in November if mine only ran out in May? I have attached a copy of our bank statement as proof of our first service payment. As for going to Rangeley, we never went there in 2017 either, we did go camping at Lake Pemaquid Camping from July 1st to the 4th . The times between the two visits were not 7 months as [redacted] states, it was 7 weeks. Seven weeks in a truck that I have put less than 3000 miles a year on for the last three years. I do have my last three registrations for proof if needed. My wife did tell [redacted] to fix the things needed for a sticker, I was standing right there, the muffler and tie rod were the only items [redacted] had informed us about, she also asked him to do an oil change and to call her with any added cost as soon as he had looked at the truck the next day. As [redacted] stated cash is tight for us, so why would we tell [redacted] to fix anything he wanted to without so much as phone call. [redacted] agreed to call in the morning with any added cost but the call never came.[redacted] was right when we went to pick up the truck and for the first time and we found out that the 250 dollar estimate had climbed to over 1000 dollars. We were shocked and unable to cover the unauthorized repair cost of the 750 dollars. We told [redacted] that we would have to come back the next day to pick up the truck. We had to try and find another 750 dollars to pay for the unauthorized work done on my truck. The next day we stopped in to talk to [redacted] about the added cost. I went into his office and asked [redacted] how we went from a 250 dollar estimate to 1000 dollars without even a phone call. [redacted] wouldn’t answer the question he just said he would eat the cost or take the parts off. When I told [redacted] that my wife had spoken to a lady on the phone twice about any changes to the estimate, [redacted] told me ”that was why she no longer worked here, she kept forgetting to give me the messages”. [redacted] was implying that he had fired her, the lady answering the phone. I believe she is his live in girlfriend and lives in [redacted]s’s trailer right beside the shop. It was at this time that [redacted] said he could take the new breaks off, put my old breaks back on and that would bring my bill down $500.00. I agreed to this and confirmed the total cost of $449 dollars with that change only. My Breaks had been working fine when I brought the truck in. We did not agree to remove any other parts that he had installed. [redacted] stated he took all the new parts off before I went to [redacted]. If that is true why did he charge me for the parts? As for the work that [redacted] had to do before I could get a sticker and what the manager was told about [redacted] and his repairs is also not the truth. The new right rear seal [redacted] Morse installed was still on the rear shaft but it was leaking. The manager at [redacted] is the one holding the seal in the picture and told me it was a new seal but he would not be able to reuse it after changing the shaft. The brand new seal was leaking because the shaft it had been installed on was so badly scored that a new seal would not stop the leeks, this is what the service manager at [redacted] told me when he showed me the parts. Both the new seal and the shaft had to be replaced. I also took a look at my new muffler and found a substandard welding job. Looks like the welder doing this job was having problems welding and just gave up leaving more than a half inch of muffler unwelded. So let’s recap I never met [redacted] until May of 2017 not November 2016 as [redacted] states. We did not plan go to Rangeley as [redacted] Stated. The wife never said to fix anything needed he wanted to for a sticker. My wife did tell [redacted] to fix the things needed for a sticker, the muffler and tie rod, were the only items [redacted] had informed us about that we needed to be fixed for a sticker. It wasn’t 7 months as [redacted] stated it was 7 weeks. [redacted] is also lying about a lady answering the phone for him. [redacted] agreed to call in the morning with any added cost but no call never came. [redacted] is also lying about what parts he removed from the truck. [redacted] also states that all of my old parts were put back on the truck that is not true. I was charged for a seal kit, tie rods, bearings, muffler, brake pads and rear seal.  There are so many lies in [redacted] Morse’s statement, I am confident the fax I have provided will make that clear as day.]
