I have had several difficulties with MCC. At first, I had a job that had inconsistent pay that forced me to miss some payments. I attempted to work with MCC and the loss mitigation department to no avail. I ended up filing bankruptcy. I completed my Chapter 13 bankruptcy earlier this year and was told the discharge went through the court systems to the creditors to dispute if necessary. There was no dispute by MCC and so my bankruptcy was discharged. I was told my new payment by the courts would take effect 3/2016 so I began making that payment. Last month I began receiving letters from MCC threatening foreclosure of my home due to late payments. I then copied all my canceled checks for the past 2 years and submitted them to MCC as well as the court order of my new payment that took effect in 3/2016 since they had been reporting to the credit bureaus that my payment was over $250 more than it had ever been.
I contacted the loss mitigation department again and received a VM. No response was received. I called again after I received the second default letter and left a VM in which I followed up with an email. I received a return call and was told all my paperwork was printed out for review and that I would receive a call back within a week with the findings and the corrections would be made. Another week passed and I even gave her an additional 2 days before I called back after a third letter was received threatening foreclosure. I received all kinds excuses to include shortage in personnel at the office and told that this was not personal. However, it was very personal to me since my credit is being destroyed further with each passing day. I was trying to restore my credit history and they were not interested in helping. Finally I went to the office to sit down in front of them and was at first given the run around by reception. As I sat waiting in the waiting room, I received a call from loss mitigation and she attempted to tide me over instead of meeting with me. I insisted on seeing her to attempt to get her attention. She finally reviewed the information and in fact, I was not behind on ANY payments. She was still unable to explain to me where they came up with the figure they were reporting to the credit bureaus since my payment had never been that high. She stated this will all be resolved with the credit bureaus but I have yet to see this corrected. My payment on their web portal is still showing the $250.00 over my court decreed payment. I am still not satisfied and as soon as my credit is repaired, I plan to look elsewhere. This is twice they have not been willing to help me until I took drastic measures into my own hands.
