Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, [redacted] Vanity Kings make it sound like they told me to stop assembling the cabinets at all costs and this is not true I told her that I had my granite counter top coming and needed to keep on schedule in order to meet my deadline I told Vanity Kings that I could hide their imperfections and she told me that she would try to make it right, referring to a refund of some sort She did tell me that I could ship them back to her for and exchange There are two points to this I would have had to ship back pounds of cabinets, at my cost, nearly miles That is absolutely ridiculous to think I would eat that cost, or have to pass it along to a customer (who the Revdex.com protects) If she wanted me to ship them back for and exchange, she must have known that the cabinets were not damaged by me opening the boxes as she now claims (for the first time) As for me discarding the boxes, that is true I did discard them after they were opened....I think ,most people discard boxes as wellI have no reason to put myself through this, if I were lying or telling the Revdex.com anything that wasn't the pure truth More than anything I would like for the Revdex.com to warn others of the shoddy practices of Vanity Kings and the professionalism of their only employee, [redacted] The main reason the public uses the Revdex.com is to make themselves aware of any business, like Vanity Kings, and to be able to intelligently steer clear of said business I recognize that [redacted] , from Vanity Kings, will not live up to her promise to make things right (like I've shown the Revdex.com in her emails), but I think that she should be shown for who she really is She now robotically quotes her companies policy since she has been contacted by the Revdex.com, but rest assured that the multiple attempts to contact her (both by phone and emails) fell on deaf ears before this complaint started She was so supportive on the phone during the one and only time I was able to contact her and explain what I had encountered with her cabinetsSpending $on something and having it be shoddy craftsmanship is one thing, but when you spend $2,on something, you expect it to be as describedWhen I is not, you then expect the company to make it right and NOT throw you under a bus by now saying that I must have damaged the cabinets as I opened them Please review the pictures again and see if the gouges look like something that could have happened by a professional carpenter simply opening boxes Please review the emails to see if [redacted] did agree to make this right Please do the name of the Revdex.com justice and do what is right Sincerely, [redacted]

Our customer was told to stop assembling the cabinets because they would not be returnable if they have been assembled. Our policy page on our website www.vanitykings.com/index.php/policies.html states this as well. He decided to assemble them regardless of damage because he had the counter top guy...

coming and they needed to be done before then. Counter top guys can be rescheduled but he was insistent on making sure the cabinets were assembled for him. I did try and make this right for him. I called the company I purchased from them and they have the same policy of if you assemble the cabinets, then they are not returnable and no refund will be given. I sent them the pictures I received from our customer and they said these do not look like damages made in manufacturing but rather someone who damaged it when opening the box. My customer never sent pictures of the boxes and said he'd already discarded them.
Regardless, our policies are available on our website and explicitly states "6.) IF YOU ASSEMBLE ANY CABINETS, THEY ARE YOURS. NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS OF ANY ASSEMBLED CABINETS DAMAGED OR NOT."
Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. I hope this clears things up. If not, please feel free to contact me.

Vanity Kings make it sound like they told me to stop assembling the cabinets at all costs and this is not true.  I told her that I had my granite counter top coming and needed to keep on schedule in order to meet my deadline.  I told Vanity Kings that I could hide their imperfections and she told me that she would try to make it right, referring to a refund of some sort.  She did tell me that I could ship them back to her for and exchange.  There are two points to this...
     1. I would have had to ship back 750 pounds of cabinets, at my cost, nearly 1000 miles.  That is absolutely ridiculous to think I would eat that cost, or have to pass it along to a customer (who the Revdex.com                  protects).
     2.  If she wanted me to ship them back for and exchange, she must have known that the cabinets were not damaged by me opening the boxes as she now claims (for the first time).  As for me discarding               the boxes, that is true.  I did discard them after they were opened....I think ,most people discard boxes as well.
I have no reason to put myself through this, if I were lying or telling the Revdex.com anything that wasn't the pure truth.  More than anything I would like for the Revdex.com to warn others of the shoddy practices of Vanity Kings and the professionalism of their only employee, [redacted].  The main reason the public uses the Revdex.com is to make themselves aware of any business, like Vanity Kings, and to be able to intelligently steer clear of said business.  I recognize that [redacted], from Vanity Kings, will not live up to her promise to make things right (like I've shown the Revdex.com in her emails), but I think that she should be shown for who she really is.  She now robotically quotes her companies policy since she has been contacted by the Revdex.com, but rest assured that the multiple attempts to contact her (both by phone and emails) fell on deaf ears before this complaint started.  She was so supportive on the phone during the one and only time I was able to contact her and explain what I had encountered with her cabinets.
Spending $50 on something and having it be shoddy craftsmanship is one thing, but when you spend $2,000 on something, you expect it to be as described. When I is not, you then expect the company to make it right and NOT throw you under a bus by now saying that I must have damaged the cabinets as I opened them.  Please review the pictures again and see if the gouges look like something that could have happened by a professional carpenter simply opening boxes.  Please review the emails to see if [redacted] did agree to make this right.  Please do the name of the Revdex.com justice and do what is right.
