Review: My complaint is towards Mortgage U in Bingham Farms, Michigan. They're a company that teaches mortgage information to be used for helping pass the NMLS standardized test. I'm very disappointed to find out that the company does such a poor job on handling a customer complaint issue. I took a recent class that I paid $349 for and felt that the content of the course was limited and lacked important details to prep for the NMLS test. I know this because I used a competitors materials to compare which goes into much greater detail. The class was taught by [redacted]. It was questionable whether or not she was credible to teach the course, she was noticably uncomfortable when students asked her if she had ever taken the NMLS test. Her answer was that she was not able to disclose information about whether or not she took the NMLS test, saying it was company policy to not respond. Sounds fishy? Especially the fact that she didn't even know the important terms such as Section 6 and Section 10 under Federal Laws for RESPA, amongst many other topics that she was not able to answer students questions on. [redacted] is the president of the company and the reason for me making a complaint against the company. It's [redacted]'s poor customer service that has lead me to file a complaint. When I discussed my valid opinions to seeking a full refund for the class because of Mortgage U's unsatisfactory product, she took the matter personally and was quick on the defense to say she's never had a complaint in 16 years regarding classroom content. She offered no real help in trying to appease an upset customer. [redacted] handled my request in an amatuer way, only seeking to provide a win-win scenario for her company and failing to not help create a win-win solution for both parties. After two email attempts to getting a refund, She was unable to help satisfy my request, and didn't respond to my second request. I feel that I should get my money refunded.Desired Settlement: I would like my full money refunded back for $349.
