Mosaic Wine Bar Reviews (2)

I am writing to share my recent experience at Mosaic Wine Bar located in North Park at 3422 30th Street. We had placed a reservation a few days prior for our party of 15 guests. Upon arriving at 11:30 a.m. the table was not set to accommodate our party of 15, which is understandable as some guests had yet to arrive. However, when our guests did arrive on site, we proceeded to provide a place for them to sit (as the server did not) by combining the table next to us for our standing guests. Our server [redacted] greeted us with a horrific attitude and proceeded to yell at our party for moving the table over, stating that it dragged on the ground and "ruins the chairs", which is ironic because she then proceeded to drag the same said table/chairs back to the original position (?). She then continued to treat our entire party with extremely poor customer service throughout our meal. I sat back and watched in awe as our server [redacted], continued to repeatedly scold our guests for placing a drink order "out of turn", put her hand in a guests face when they attempted to request an additional food order, rudely snap at guests, be inconsiderate, unprofessional and downright overwhelmed as she was clearly unable to provide even a shred of customer service to a large party that at the time, was her only table.
The drinks were disgusting, watered down mimosas that tasted like they were made from bad OJ concentrate and flat with old champagne from the night before, red wine sangria that tasted more like a sour fruit punch that sat outside in the sun all day. The overall ambiance and feeling of being so unwelcomed and unwanted in this establishment was truly the unbelievable. The food was actually delicious, but that may have been because we were all starving after the five hours it took to arrive.
Regardless of our appalling service from an unskilled wait staff, [redacted]'s rude attitude and lack of customer service, we were still forced to pay an additional 20% "gratuity" for our party. We can only assume that the fact that our server was already receiving the 20% on her tab, must have been the main reason as to why she could have cared less about her customers, or her job.
When [redacted] came back around to collect the checks and snap at us a bit more, we had had enough and proceeded to tell her that she treated us very poorly throughout our meal and was extremely rude. She then smiled and rolled her eyes saying "Okay". This only proved my point, and I requested to speak with the Manager on duty and here comes [redacted]... (now this is the fun part) I explained how we were treated and how our server was unprofessional and rude throughout the morning. He smiled and said "Okay, thanks" and then turned around and walked away without another word. No apology, no excuse, just "Okay". So it all makes sense that the incompetent server treats their customers rudely because the incompetent Manager on duty does as well!
Another guest from our party inquired with this "Manager" and asked him for the owner's name and information so we could inform him of our experience and he refused to comply. We stated that we would be leaving a Yelp review in an effort to prevent others from experiencing the same abuse we did to which the "Manager" [redacted] replied, "No one looks at Yelp anymore". Well, I'm here to tell you that I look at Yelp and I do value the opinions of others when it comes to dining and a customer's experience. I no longer work in the food & beverage industry, but I did my time (7 years) and I can honestly say that after Managing a restaurant I would never treat my patrons with such a disgusting attitude and allow my employees to treat other's the way they are clearly able to do so at Mosaic Wine Bar. It is completely unacceptable and uncalled for and if you cannot handle a party of 15, and you choose to take out your own issues on others then maybe you shouldn't be working in the service industry?
We will gladly take our business elsewhere, and I will make it a point to post my review on as many venues possible in an effort to prevent this from continuing. Both [redacted] and [redacted] at Mosaic Wine Bar clearly did not have time for their guests during a Sunday morning brunch. Well, we certainly do not have time for their offensive, inept, rude behavior.
