Mosby's Towing & Transport, LLC Reviews (5)

Mr. [redacted]’ vehicle was towed from [redacted] on Bardstown road on 9/1/16 for being illegally parked.  Most customers that have had vehicles towed involuntarily tend to be dissatisfied.  AS to Mr. [redacted]’ first complaint, storage is charged by calendar day not by the hour.  He was...

charged for two days storage.  The impound/office hours are not 24 hours like the towing.  The releasing hours are Monday-Friday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm and Saturdays from 12 pm-2 pm. As to Mr. [redacted]’ damage complaint, his vehicle was not damaged by towing.  [redacted], director of operations, assisted Mr. [redacted].  [redacted] assessed the damage on his car, which were small scratches or scuffs, roughly 1 inch long, down the front ede and right of his fender.  It was determined that these scratches or scuffs were not done as a result of towing.  In fact, these areas could most likely be buffed out.  [redacted] offered to demonstrate with the wrecker that the damage Mr. [redacted] claimed was not physically possible.   Mr. [redacted] apparently was irritated about the whole situation and decided to be verbally abusive to [redacted] and the staff.  He continually used obscenities choosing F--- as his choice word.  When Mr. [redacted] asked for the owner’s information, [redacted] explained to him that he is the owners’ son and runs this business.  Mr. [redacted] proceeded to be verbally abusive and was told that the police were going to be called to escort him off the property.  Mr. [redacted] was also very disruptive to the other customers in the lobby.  The abusive, disruptive behavior was recorded on our audio/video cameras. Mr. [redacted] is not entitled to any refund of charges or repairs. If you have any additional questions, please e-mail or call me at the number listed below. The residents at the [redacted] buy parking passes that allows them to park in designated areas. The residents sign documents with the [redacted] stating they understand which areas are permissible with specific parking passes. The residents are also informed that their vehicles will be towed if they park...

in undesignated areas.Because of the numerous residents that choose to park in undesignated areas, the [redacted] contracted [redacted]'s Towing & Transport LLC to tow said vehicles. When there are multiple vehicles, the vehicles are booted to disable them until the tow truck is available. If the vehicle owner shows up before the vehicle is towed, he/she can release the vehicle on site for a discounted rate.In this specific instance, Ms. [redacted] was parked in a “NO PARKING ZONE” that was marked with lines. The driver put a parking boot on her vehicle on the driver's side. A note was also placed on the driver's side windshield telling her the vehicle was disabled. Because Ms. [redacted] tried to drive off with the boot on her vehicle, the rim got a niche in it.Ms. [redacted] called into dispatch, who then in turn called the driver. When the driver arrived back to the vehicle, she was very irate because her vehicle had been booted. She demanded that the boot be removed and the driver pay for the niche in her rim. He explained it would be $95.00 to release the boot from her vehicle. Ms. [redacted] insisted on writing him a personal check. The driver explained that it is against company policy to accept personal checks and would only accept cash or credit card as payment. The driver found the security officer because Ms. [redacted] refused to pay for services rendered. The officer explained to Ms. [redacted] that she should not have parked in the "NO PARKING ZONE”.The residents of the [redacted] know which designated areas they are allowed to park in and must abide by the rules. The [redacted] has set up consequences when the rules are broken. Needless to say, most residents are not happy about their vehicles being towed. If you have any additional questions, please call me at 502-[redacted]Respectfully yours,[redacted] Office Manager [redacted]'s Towing & Transport, LLC

We spoke with [redacted] and the  member. We take  care of any amd all damages. Accidents  can and do happen  when yoi tow as many vehicles  as we do on a daily basis. The owner originally  called  with a very  inflated estimate, not consistent with  the photos...

of damage. It was a [redacted] I asked her to get a quote from the dealer to see if price  was in line.  A week or so  later she called me and said she  did take  it to another  body shop for a quote and it was MUCH lower as I had first  thought  it would  be. I told her to swnd me the estimate and she could  have it fixed  there. As for her fence the car bumped, its $200 to fix and we stand behind fixing  that as well. I have not heard back from this customer since  then. She called me, and I do not have her number, as ahe hung up on me after going to her body shop  she knew someone at, which os what she had told me. She can reach me and we stand  good for damages we caused at a fair price, estimated  by a reputable body shop which I believe  [redacted] body shop is.[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. There was no notification placed on my vehicle stating that my vehicle was disabled. I also was not "irate and refusing to pay." I simply stated that I, under no circumstances, would hand him cash and would only pay via check or card directly to the company. The employee became hostile and threatening and went to get the police officer. The officer in turn stated that the employee in fact should have placed notification on my vehicle so he was liable for the damage caused. If said employee had followed proper pocedure the damages would not have occurred as I would have known a boot had been placed. I am willing to provide witness that the employee was acting extremely hostile, rude, and threatening and also have photos from the night of the incident showing the damage, the parking spot, and lack of notification on the window. I'm sure with a bit of digging I can also contact the officer who can attest to these facts.
Regards,
[redacted]

I do not think there is any more I can add to our initial response.   [redacted], Office Manager
