I hired a moving company that went by the name of Prestige Worldwide Moving whom claimed they were not brokers they hired their own drivers and movers and owned their own trucksThey also we rated by the Revdex.com with good ratingsI received a price from them based on my inventory and was told as long as the inventory didn't change this is how much it would costThey required a non-refundable deposit of 35%On the day of the move guys showed up to my house on foot and told me they couldn't get the truck to my houseThey looked at my stuff and then told me that based on what they were seeing this move was now going to be over $(it was originally $1687) and that didn't include a shuttle to get my stuff to the truckI obviously declined as I don't have that kind of moneyThe company obviously wouldn't give me my deposit back and wouldn't even talk with anyoneThese are a bunch of crooks that are operating a bait and switch type scheme
The rates are extremely reasonable with no hidden surprises in the end as oppose to other moving servicesMy furniture arrived safely with no scratches/damages, and the staff was super efficient, extremely communicative and overall just so pleasant as they arrived on time and got straight to work

This company is anything but prestigeThey are very cordial and polite until they get the initial down payment and a signed contract and it goes down hill from thereFor what they charge you expect better serviceI had to keep calling to get a delivery date which changed several times and when I did get a date with a hour window for delivery that did not happenedMy hour window between the hours of 2- PM ended up being the 10:AM the next morningThe driver was in my area around 9:PM that night but had problems getting moving helpers because of the late hourI asked to be compensated but needless to say that was totally ignored and still have not heard anymore from them as I am writing this reviewThis company picks up your furniture but it is transferred over to another company all togetherI was told at the time of contract the same person who picked up the furniture would deliver(FALSE)! Four weeks before my furniture was delivered and three weeks after the promised delivery date, Moshi's Movers arrived to pick up the furniture and prepare it for shipmentAt the time, two things gave me pauseFirst, they did a great job wrapping the first few pieces of furniture in cardboard, blankets and shrink-wrap until they ran out of cardboard and blanketsThe rest of the furniture was then just shrink-wrapped with no additional protectionNot to worry, they said, when we get back to the office, we will make sure the furniture is properly protectedSpoiler alert, my photos show that nothing further was done to protect those pieces of furniture
The second thing that gave a pause was the "bait and switch" by the mover when he told me my Binding Moving Estimate would take up more room on the truck and so I have to pay more for additional space dedicated solely for my furniture, yeah, $moreKeep in mind that I just travelled from*** to *** to settle my mom's estate and to get our family legacy furniture shipped to***I had already paid a deposit, the movers had arrived late, it was hot and my kids and I were tiredI paid itWhen the furniture was delivered, I made sure to inspect the truck and I took photosOf course, my furniture in the additional space that I paid for was intermingled with furniture from another customer
