Mosites Motor Sport Reviews (10)

The day the ATV was brought back my service writer explained that we would look at any work we did to the ATV free of charge and fix any work that we did if it was the cause of the ATV not running free of charge. My Service writer explained he is not authorized to work on the electrical issue free of charge because we did not do any of the electrical work. The monies paid to Mosites Motorsports was $11.98 for gas and a spark plug, $147.00 for the diagnosis of the electrical and running issue, $65.99 for the jet kit, and $147.00 for the installation of the jet kit. The offer of correcting if need be the jetting of the ATV free of charge is still and always was available. Our recommendation of correcting the electrical system and putting it back to stock was not completed as another non factory repair by the customer was made instead. The ATV ran when it left here and was explained to us that it was ridden when it got home for approximately 45 mins. If there was an issue with the jetting of the ATV it would not just quit running, it wouldn't of ran while it was here. Again, we would be happy to look at and repair the jetting of the ATV free of charge. If you would like us to do so please contact my Service Department to schedule the time.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Regards,
[redacted]I bought the atv in question used and the factory ignition was missing and the wiring was incorrect. the service department was told this many times..I cannot dispute what I did.  I did rewire it and use a non-factory switch and used a trailer harness for electrical connection...this harness had correct size wire and made good connection. (I have an degree in electronics)    The service shop did not contact me I called them....they told me that an electrical diagnostic would cost approx $400.00 and gave me the option to have it done stating that they felt sure it was a faulty ignition switch. I brought the atv back home and yes I did replace the ignition switch with two toggle switches (electricity doesn't know if it is an non-factory item) this was a temporary fix until a factory switch could be purchased. I returned to the shop 5 days later with the atv and was told that the service manager was off. My son and I had a discussion with the employee that was there. Yes I was upset but at no time did I scream or shout. I stated that I would return the next day with the atv when the manager was available. I called the next morning and the service manager said that he would not look at the atv because I had it for 5 days and he did not know what I did to it. I stated that all I did was put two toggle switches in the ignition and light system. He refused to look at the atv. Yes the atv quit running but toggle switches do nothing except turn electricity on and off...I checked the spark plug and found that the atv was running lean.(plug was white).I called and told the service manager what I found and he told me that u cannot tell how the atv is burning because a spark plug needs to have more than 45mins run time on it to be a good read. I talked to another mechanic at the shop and he said this was untrue. So the question I ask is how did they check the rejeting of the carb that takes about 45 mins to accomplish and charge me $429.00 to do this?? Also in response I called them the day I brought the atv home and notified them that it quit running and the service manager said to bring it back. The results are as previously stated above.

Buying a motor sport is one of the most stressful decisions a person can make. After saving money for months, searching for the right motor sport for 2 months, I found an incredible dealership to work with. The owner of Mosites Motorsports has outstanding customer service and really knows how to connect with people. You want an experience to last a lifetime? Go see this place, they are genuinely cares about people.

I bought an ATV from Mosites Motorsports. The salesperson was professional and helpful. He answered all my questions and gave a fair price. If I need another motor sport or any motor apparel, I will go here again.

Review: I purchased a Stella scooter from Mosites. When it arrived it did not start. This happened twice. The second time it was in, I had them attach a sidecar which I later found out they overcharged me by significantly. The staff was rude and acted as though I just didn't know what I was doing when in fact they themselves couldn't start it those first 2 times, and I caught them in several lies. I've been driving the scooter with the side car, but the road in the area make it dangerous due to pot holes and uneven pavement. When I went to remove the sidecar, I discovered that Mosites had kept the kickstand and I could not remove the sidecar as there would be nothing to hold it up. Since the kickstand was mine and should have been delivered along with the scooter, I made multiple attempts to contact the person in charge of services. When I was able to talk to him he said that they must have thrown it out. Meaning they threw out my property. Last I spoke to him he said he would look into pricing on a new kickstand. I have not heard from him since and every time I call I can't get through to him. All I want is my property returned. Forget the fact that they sold me a new vehicle that wouldn't work until they looked into it twice, all I'm asking is for my kickstand and then I never want to hear from them again. I've found another shop with much better prices, services, and who apologized that I had to deal with Mosites in the first place.Desired Settlement: I want my kickstand returned.

Revdex.com,

I have recently been in contact with customer regarding Revdex.com complaint. I had called and left a voicemail

for customer to speak with her about the issues. After a few days of no return call, I emailed her with

the email provided on complaint. Two days later I did hear back from the customer but she was

unwilling to contact via telephone so I could get a better understanding of what happened.

The unit was brought back shortly after purchase for a starter button malfunction which was very

intermittent, Mosites was able to track down the problem and replaced free of charge under warranty. I

am unable to speak on the rudeness or lies as the customer stated, because of the unwillingness to

discuss with me. I can verify that my staff made numerous attempts to provide good customer service.

Mosites went as far as to schedule a time with her to come in and provide a crash course on how to ride

the machine because she lacked the knowledge and experience being her first scooter; which is not a

paid service or something we normally offer.

The statement about not being able to get through to us is a mystery. As I am now acting Service

Manager and this is the first time I am hearing about this issue. My previous Service Manger left the

company on October 28, 2013.

After reviewing the service history I do believe that we are responsible for the kickstand the customer is

requesting. I have no evidence that we provided her with the kickstand a year ago after installing the

sidecar and am willing to provide her with the desired settlement of returning the kickstand.

I informed customer I will mail her the kickstand as soon as we receive it in from special order.

Review: We bought a brand new Jet Ski from Mosites Motor Sports in North Huntingdon and paid $11,000.00 for it. We had it for 2 months and took it in 2 times within those 2 months for the routine maintenance that is required. After the 2nd maintenance visit my son was sitting on the jet ski next to out boat at the docks and when he started it, it ran full speed and crashed into the dock, thank god him or nobody else was injured. There were numerous error messages that came up when he turned the jet ski on, before it crashed into the dock. We immediately called Mosites to take it back to the because there was damage to the front of the craft as well as it being unsafe to ride. Between Mosites and BRP, the company who made the ski, they are refusing to pay for the damages or repairs to the jet ski. It was clearly a malfunction with their product and they should cover these damages. The cost to repair is only $98 which is nothing in comparison to the amount that we paid for the jet ski. I sincerely feel this is very bad business and seems to me that it should be illegal to do this to people. This has been going on for 30 days now, and I have only heard from both parties one time, and that was for them to argue with me and state they would not fix anything. I am hoping you can help to resolve this issue or just take back there product and return our money. I am looking forward to hearing from you and hope you can help usDesired Settlement: repair

Response:

Mr. [redacted] ATV was brought in with a run ability diag. The customer stated to us he just installed an FMF power bomb exhaust and re-jetted the ATV himself. Afterwards the ATV would not run well and would shut off unless he kept giving it throttle. With the information we received from the customer, we jetted the ATV to the proper settings and found that there were more issues to the ATV then that. The wiring harness was spliced into and the factory ignition was removed and replaced with an ignition designed for a car/truck. This new incorrect ignition was then placed under the seat and was wired in with a trailer wiring harness. This type of ignition that was installed is not designed to handle the vibration that is produced on an ATV especially where it was mounted under the seat. When the ignition would shake and vibrate we found it would cause the unit to misfire and/or shutdown. We called the customer and told him what we found and stated the unit needs to be put back to its factory condition. The customer refused to have the work completed by us and picked up his machine to fix it himself. The customer called us multiple times while he was working on the ATV, he was basically asking us how to repair it over the phone instead of paying us to repair it for him. My Service Manager instructed him multiple times to just bring the ATV back to us before something else is damaged or incorrectly installed. A week later the customer came back to our store irate stating his ATV doesn’t run now and he wants his money back. He explained to us prior that he replaced the ignition with 2 toggle switches instead of the factory ignition we recommended. The ATV ran when it left here and the customer only paid us to correct the jetting on his ATV and diagnose his problem he was having with the ATV shutting down. The ATV stopped running after the customer tried to repair the ATV himself. We cannot take responsibility for repairs we didn’t make, and we cannot sit on the phone and instruct a customer on how to repair his ATV because he didn’t want to pay us to do so. The offer was made numerous times to bring back the ATV for us to make sure all of the repairs we made to the machine were not the cause of the ATV to quite running, the customer was instructed if the repairs he made to the machine were what was causing it to not run he would then need to pay us to fix what he did.
