We signed up with them this spring, to treat our mosquitoes. I expressed my concerns with the previous years ( another location used to do our property) and she assured me that there would be a map for the technician to follow and will make sure it gets done properly. We live on 2.5 acres with 50+ oak trees; plenty of area for mosquitoes to hide. THe first time, I had to make contact to tell them that the technician didn't do the treatment properly. It took 3 weeks (by then our yard was due for another spray) to come out again because "their system messed up the respray". The second time, was great! The whole yard was sprayed and there were no bugs until the end of the 21 days (normal). The last time though, I watched the tech again and he did 1/4 of our property, in under 10 minutes (normal is roughly 20). I immediately sent out an email tell her to have him come back or to reschedule and refund us. She said that he told her he did it all and used 7 gallons. Great, that's what he said, but he didn't do it. The poor quality of treatments is unacceptable, especially for the small fortune we shell our for the season (a few thousand). The way she handled the last complaint was not ok. She sided with the tech, when the homeowner and customer complained. Please make this right, and refund us.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 14526633, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

This company has a 100% guarantee , if we feel that a respray is needed they are to do it, as long as I ask for it within 21 days of service. The two times I've has to ask for this, it has been a fight, when it should not be due to their 100% guarantee. The owner/customer service just says No. It's working. That doesn't matter with their, guarantee which states: Your complete satisfaction is important to us. If you are not completely satisfied with your mosquito control treatment , contact your Mosquito Squad office within 21 days of that treatment for a re-spray at no additional charge. It should never even be anything other than we will be right out to respray your yard.

We have added an additional treatment to the end of this customer's season. Additionally, a check for $74.45 is being sent to the customer today as requested. This customer is continuing to do business with us and we are striving to meet her expectations and regain her trust. We appreciate the patience and loyalty this customer has shown.

We had agreement dating back to prior summer to spray the 1 acre of two adjoining properties since they are both owned by the same person. First it was through Groupon deal and then renewed for rest of 2017 season. I prepaid for all of summer 2018 since they were running a special on Cyber Monday, assuming that they would just continue performing the same work and spray the same area. 4/30/18 was the first day that they showed up to spray the property this year and my wife watched the technician ONLY walk around one of the houses during the span of about 3 minutes and leave. The technician didn’t even remotely do the work that was paid for.

I called the office and notified Dawn of what happened. I was told that she needs to speak with the tech when she came back in from the field – apparently this company doesn’t use mobile phones. That’s fine though, no issue, I can wait. Then as long as I had them on the phone, I checked into what area they were actually spraying, to which I was told they just reset the spray line to only one of the properties because “it was simpler” once the Groupon ended. WHAT?!? I proceeded to forward prior year emails, agreed upon maps and spray lines, measurement of property showing that it’s under 1 acre, all to no avail since Dawn just kept talking over me and arguing. All this despite the fact that they sprayed that exact area during the prior year and nothing has changed. Then she hung up when I said I want a refund of all the money that I paid them for this year and that I’ll have someone else come out. I called back and someone else picked up the line – while holding, a PARTIAL refund confirmation came through and the phone was hung up again. After several follow-up emails and ignored calls, still no refund.

Absolutely terrible service and despite 100% satisfaction guarantee, they still haven’t refunded payment when service performed wasn't what was paid for.

We at Mosquito Squad strive to provide exceptional service at all of our clients. Occasionally, as in this case, misunderstandings can be compounded by personality differences. This client has now been refunded all monies relating to 2018, even though we completed the first application for 2018. In the interests of resolution, we have provided that completed application at no charge.

I am rejecting this response because:
I received an email confirmation of a refund on April 30 for partial amount and then another email confirmation May 10 for the full amount following filing the complaint. However, no refund has actually been processed and at this point it's well beyond the time it would take for any bank or payment provider to provide the credit. I followed up with the business on May 18, but have yet to receive a response. I am attaching the printout of the email confirmation of the refund from May 10 and my follow-up to which no response has been received.

.Upon investigation, I learned that the two refunds initiated for the customer in the past month did not complete processing because the original credit card transaction is over 120 days old. Therefore, I am sending a physical refund check to the customer today. He should receive it in a couple of business days.

Don’t use Mosquito Squad in East Bethel or Ham Lake, Minnesota (phone ***) unless you want to be lied to, hung up on, and then ignored if you have an issue or complain. Absolutely terrible service and despite 100% satisfaction guarantee, they still haven’t refunded the full amount paid. The agreements they enter mean nothing, their techs don’t do their job, and the person who runs the show (Dawn) seems to pride herself on her ability to spin simple situations into something that forces me to write this review, file complaints with the Revdex.com and notify the corporate office about improper business practices. Why anyone would hire this service in lieu of the plethora of others that are cheaper, more honest, flexible and just as effective, is the great unknown here.

Then while talking to 3 other services, I learned that Mosquito Squad is a rip-off because of 1) higher price than almost every other service out there even after discounts, 2) claim to need to spray every two weeks to be effective, 3) inflexible as they only spray on their schedule and do not cater to their clients preference. This the exact opposite of someone like Mosquito Crush – less expensive, completely flexible as to day and time of day to spray, no questions asked money back guarantee.
